I just hope that the sick passenger is doing well and was able to continue their journey. Still a rare moment seeing the Queen and the King together!! Thanks, Kevin!!
Was on a night flight from MCO to DFW and someone had a heart attack! There was a pediatrician and ER nurse on the same flight and they urged the crew to land at the nearest airport Fortunately for him, we were already past the TX/LA border so it we didn't have to turn around. They used a tall dolly to wheel him off the plane since it was too narrow for a stretcher. I didn't know that was how you are removed if you can't stand up.
As a frequent Lufthansa passenger who has been on both B747-400 and A380, I approve of this video! So happy to see the A380 back in service ... excellent job filming this, folks!!
Nice to have that video. I was a passenger on that A380 that had to return to the gate. We got informed by the crew about the other passenger while still at the holding point for 24L. The sick passenger left the plane at Tom Bradley and we topped up the fuel for a more speedy flight to Munich. Pilots were able to make up about 30min of that delay.
Still history I’ve never seen an A380 taxi back to the gate on the same taxi way. Always AVL there on the scene. I’ve been so busy with work and I can’t wait to watch a full show again soon.
Except that the A380 Lufthansa usually flys to Munich and is rarely seen in Frankfurt (Lufthansa has the home bases of the 747 in Frankfurt and the A380 in Munich for easier maintenance reason 😊).
Usually not 😊 most A380 are based in Munich and are rarely seen in Frankfurt (and vice versa). Lufthansas' home bases for the 747 is Frankfurt and for the A380 is Munich for easier maintenance reasons. They try not to mix it. So yes, this video is really an exceptional footage 😊
Wow! That was unique to see the Kings and Queens of the Lufty Planes as always Kevin. Hopefully we will see you tomorrow on Sunday for Big Sunday Show.
Managed to get a Lufthansa A380 Flying over Paisley , Scotland . Bagged a good few Lufty 747s , A340 on occasion . Always garunteed to get Delta , United , AA Flights .. Haven't seen the Japanese R2D2 livery in a good while . Also bagged C5 , C17 as well flying overhead
There are 4 airlines that own property of the 747 Korean air Lufthansa China airlines Saudia The a380 is still in service but I’m too lazy to find out how many airlines
When I was a flight attendant with British Airways back in the summer of 2009 departing JFK, there was a lengthy ground stop due to storms in the area. I believe we were #60 for departure when we joined the line of taxing aircraft. A passenger became very ill and we returned to the gate. This further delay caused us (crew) to time out and the flight was cancelled! Those passengers were not happy to say the least. 🤬
I had a similar thing at SFO for your LH situation, but with BA with an A380 n 747-4. The King was arriving while the Queen was holding short, waiting to depart. Fortunately, I had a camera to catch the moment. ❤️
A few years ago I flew Lufthansa from LA to Germany and back. Outbound on a 380, return in a 747. The 380 was fairly new and exciting to fly in for the first time. 747 was also nice but has been flown a lot. I doubt I will fly in a 747 again before I croak so I am happy Lufthansa still flies them.
I've flown Lufthansa many times over the years, as well as many United and American flights, have flown on the Boeing 747, 767, 777,. 787 and then Airbus A310, A330, A340 and A350, all wide body planes, but never on the A380, yet! My two favorites though have been the A350-900 and the 787, both are mostly composite airplanes. They pressurize them higher and add more moisture in the cabin, I feel so much better after an overseas flight on those two airplanes. One day, I hope to fly on the A380, I was close last year, but they had a change in flights and I missed out.
The King has to depart the second to avoid the Queen's vortices. In other words, the King has to pass the Queens' take-off point. The King has a longer take-off anyway.
Oh wow!! I thought both Lufthansa Queen and Lufthansa King were talking off at the same time, but Lufthansa King was returned to the gate, because one of passenger got illness, I do feel sorry for passenger that who got sick on Lufthansa King
why would you get on a flight knowing you're sick? but i have been on a flight where someone flying for the first time had an absolute meltdown so had to return from taxi, luckily they just dropped them off and delayed less than 30 minutes.
I saw a super rare event, here in Hamburg that Lufthansa and Airbus did well it was two events but not in the sane year. the coolest was Lufthansa flew several displays over the City of Hamburg I think 2011ish just has the then new A380's were starting to come into service. I also happen to live not to far away from the Airbus plant just Across the River Elbe from us. We are directly under their approch flight path. So if there is a new plane been proccessed I get to see them flying in or out and I see their amazing transport aircraft daily. Anyhow back to 2011 Lufthansa did several formation fly by's with their then newest addition to the fleet and their very first passanger aircraft the Junkers JU52 that was restored by Lufthansa and you could take flights in that legendry early passange plane. Saddly the aircraft flys no more Lufthansa had the pull the plug on its vintage aircraft restoration program after its financial issues related to the covid lock down. That saw the federal Goverment loan them billions of Euro and them taking a controlling stake in the Airline until they pay all the loan off at which point they will give full control back to lufthansa. Anyhow cut backs had to be made the JU52 as been mothball as a static display in another city other than Hamburg and their other project suspended that was a Super Conny . I hope both return at some point in the Future. So yes seeing those two in the sky at once was an amazing sight. Our 2nd amazing event was when the Main Airport turned 100 years old. The celerbrations for the Airport took place at the main Lufthansa techical center found in the rear of the main Airport. There they had the transport plane from Airbus well now the old version since it has been replace in the following years. They had a few old static early Lufthansa aircraft an old Boeing 707 I think a DC3. But they also had two of the Greatest Prop planes that every flew the DC 6 and a Super Constellation both in Private hands one was or both were from the Red Bull energy drink owners private collection. But they were basically parked under each wing of a Lufthansa A380. that was a nice day at their party made better by seeing two rare and legendry Prop planes we even got to see them take off basically one after another at a very busy normal working day at the Airport. Now in 2024 no more A380's fly in or out of Airbus here and their final fitting out and painting hangers have been fitted out for a new Generation of passanger planes. But my hi-light was the A380 and the JU52 in formation in 2011. Something that could only happen once I am guessing. Nice to see both the 747 and the A380 in the same space and both Lufthansa owned. But also a pitty you did not get your dream video of them taking off one after another. But medical emergacy is just one of those events Thanks for your upload.
lufthansa just has an incredible fleet with the most beautiful aircrafts
Emirates has the best
@@shemmy95 emirates fleet is nice but pretty boring
@@shemmy95 Nope, Lufthansa has the most very interesting fleets.
*BOEING HAS LEFT THE CHAT*
@@shemmy95 Emirates only have two aircrafts
Never heard a soccer-like commentary for aeroplanes! Made it feel like a game.
Airplanes
😂
I just hope that the sick passenger is doing well and was able to continue their journey. Still a rare moment seeing the Queen and the King together!! Thanks, Kevin!!

Being a Lufthansa fan this is a dream, Kevin! Thanks very much for this as it was far too late for me to watch this live in the UK.
Why did it had to go back to the gate ?
Great picture of king and queen together.
Still a phenomenal catch Kevin! Awesome work!
Was anticipating the most epic moment on AVL. Yet even without the King following the Queen, this was a very enjoyable experience!
Nice to have that video. I was a passenger on that A380 that had to return to the gate.

The sick passenger left the plane at Tom Bradley and we topped up the fuel for a more speedy flight to Munich. Pilots were able to make up about 30min of that delay.
How long was that delay before?
🗿
@ainonainpg3d799 we departed about 90min late, arrived about 60min late.
The fuel top off to make up for lost time was probably a $5000 kicker to the bottom line of the financials for this flight.
Come on now.
What an incredibly cool sight! Never seen that in all my years watching planes at LAX!
"What... return to the... NOOOOOOO" 🤣🤣🤣
Wow this is amazing great footage of the Lufthansa a380 and 747 departing one after the other hope the sick passenger is doing well
That’s okay Kevin, for me it was great seeing both aircraft in the same shot. Way to go
Thanks for the excerpt. LAX is its own beast, and having been based there for several years, I love seeing what going on there
Great video for real life size comparison of these 2 giant aircraft!
The beauty and elegance of the Boeing 747-8 is above the rest. Hands down.
Great video nicely filmed and edited Kevin.
Amazing show
Still history I’ve never seen an A380 taxi back to the gate on the same taxi way. Always AVL there on the scene. I’ve been so busy with work and I can’t wait to watch a full show again soon.
No soup for you! Lol
It was cool seeing them together regardless! The difference in size. Wow!
As a german citizen, I approve this video! 😅😊
The Queen,..
Is Still The King 🤗
Oh well that’s the way the cookie crumbles sometimes 😂 Great video nonetheless, Kevin 👍🏻
Wonderful wow I wish you could see that every day.
Saw that beautiful 747 as we were landing yesterday. Great looking aircraft.
Impressive to see Lufthansa king and queen together! Really enjoyed the night takeoff shot, Mike Mike showing off all his glory!
That was definitely unique watching the queen and the king. Never seen Lufthansa like that before!
The King and Queen as reunited!
Just happened to see this feed and how cool to see the 74 and 380 like that?
Awesome.
I captured back to back take offs from the King and Queen in Toronto as well. Very rare!
Wow, what a brilliant little mini-episode of AVL - a major plot twist, but still a great capture.
Flew on a 747 maiden flight from FRA to IAD back in 2014. Saw the 380 next to us when leaving FRA.
At least you got video of one following the other! That was pretty cool!
Lol. When LAX feels like Frankfurt, Germany. Great capture!
Except that the A380 Lufthansa usually flys to Munich and is rarely seen in Frankfurt (Lufthansa has the home bases of the 747 in Frankfurt and the A380 in Munich for easier maintenance reason 😊).

Woah so rare!! 🎉🎉 super rare kevin! Nice shot ❤
Wow King and queen fall in love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video Kevin, only on AVL ❤
View of A380 taking off at night superb. Hope ill passenger get well soon.
Thanks for this awesome video! :)) Have a good day (it's now 6 PM here in Munich), Ron :))
Very cool!
Wow! That was unique to see the Kings and Queens of the Lufty Planes as always Kevin. Hopefully we will see you tomorrow on Sunday for Big Sunday Show.
The start of this video has me smiling, the end of this video has me crying, the middle of this video has me on the toilet.
So freaking cool
NO NO NO............... you've just ruined my video.
LOL best line ever!
It was a tough day at work. This made me smile.
Great views my friend! That A380 is a beast.
Awesome!
So nice ❤️
Wonderful show yesterday!
Awsome video from night hawk 😎
1:57 to me is like Clash of the Titan

I'm new to aviation so I have a question. Did only lufthansa put the A380 and 747 back into service?
There are 4 airlines that own property of the 747
Korean air
Lufthansa
China airlines
Saudia
The a380 is still in service but I’m too lazy to find out how many airlines
The best video ever as the UNPLANNED thing happened !! And seeing a turn back airplane is very RARE history making!!
Great to see this a380, I flew with DAIMM from Munich to Jfk last year
I love both planes but it's fascinating to me how much better looking the 747 is.
Where at LAX are you located?
Wow. ❤
Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love 🙏
😮😯😲What a catch 🙌🏾
Only on AVL 👌🏾
That's about the way my luck runs sometimes. Still..GREAT shots.
Hi I’m new to the channel
Wow, just gorgeous !!
I'm sorry. This got recommended to my feed amd I'm curious. Are the planes nickenamed the King and Queen?
As a Lufthansa flight attendant, i love this video (until the point with the sick pax :( )
That was one beautiful sight!

I really love the stream
I just LOVE the wings on the A380 ❤
Wonder what the chances of the stars aligning up once again in next decade? Like a rare eclipse once every 100 years lol
I love how you’re reporting on this like it’s a football game 🤣🤣🤣
I had a similar thing at SFO for your LH situation, but with BA with an A380 n 747-4. The King was arriving while the Queen was holding short, waiting to depart. Fortunately, I had a camera to catch the moment. ❤️
Hey, curious where this was shot from and with what kind of camera? Thanks. Great video.
Was still awesome
Wow beautiful
Such a shame, but hope that passenger is alright.
And always a good jester let the Queen go before the King chivalry isn't dead.
Can someone tell me what camera and lens or video camera he uses for those awesome night shots, Thank you.
Isn’t it common to have these aircraft together at FRA or MUC ? I’m guessing just not as common at LAX
Still an awesome video. I felt a bit for the Queen looking small compared to the King.
Life changing. Awe inspiring. A miracle. 🤣🤣🤣
Queen of the skies.
Best passenger plane Ever made.
I've flown Lufthansa many times over the years, as well as many United and American flights, have flown on the Boeing 747, 767, 777,. 787 and then Airbus A310, A330, A340 and A350, all wide body planes, but never on the A380, yet! No plane will ever be as beautiful as the 747.
Beautiful
Very Nice!!
Still got those 2 for one shots to make a great still out of to put in your office. Very nice and thoughts for sick passenger!
Amazing
The bigger the better! In my opinion the queen will always be the most beautiful aircraft! ❤😎❤️
YES, YES, YES!
The 747 has the edge on beauty over the A380.
747 and a380 be having beef there
Oh wow!! I thought both Lufthansa Queen and Lufthansa King were talking off at the same time, but Lufthansa King was returned to the gate, because one of passenger got illness, I do feel sorry for passenger that who got sick on Lufthansa King

Maybe they weren't sick. It might've been a stroke or something else that comes on suddenly.
Haha! "you ruined my video!" 😂
👍
Interesting, hope the passenger recovered! That would have been a great sequence!!
I really miss hearing the queen fly over my house from Detroit Metro Airport. I still think she is the most beautiful passenger plane.
