If you have 4 mutation points you can buy a new mutation press M in the mutation screen

Do the mechanical wings give you flight like the mutation wings or do they just give rep with birds?

They do give the ability for flight. I don't know if it's a one-to-one comparison with the mutation but it does put the ability to fly in the hot bar.

the tooltip only mentioned rep with birds and one other faction, I sold the one pair I found and now I'm kicking myself!

@@hardwaredespair Looking at the wiki, they're comparable to level 1 wings, so a few points in the mutation will make it better than any of the alternate forms of flight

@@MKCyborg There is the cathedra though, which gives level 10 flight but it's a very rare cybernetic for true kin.
