I'm 13 years old. Everytime I hear this song I cry... here is the reason why. I am a very messed up kid, my parents were going through a divorce a couple years after I was born. The divorce was finalized on Feburary 13, 2018. Ever sense then I have been hospitalized more than 4 times. This song is what had been keeping me alive. I never believed in God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, until my mom had almost died. I had cried and cried for days. Then she came home and her first word to me was "Cescefire" at first I was confused, but then I realized she was being abused... I thank the lord that she is alive today❤
Praise the living God, Amber! He has favoured you, he has seen you suffering and he has loved you back to life. There is no reason to doubt him anymore, my sister. God is greater than our problems combined. I mean, after all, He led the Israelites to the land of milk and honey using a man who was once a prince, that same man who had a stutter, the same man who at birth had to be a secret. Your story is not over, it's just started! God is the Author, he makes the best story. Remember, if you live to tell this story, God still has a plan for you. He is bigger than the words of man....WAY BIGGER!!! Stay blessed my sister.❤️
Jesus, thank-you for saving this beautiful girl and her Mom. Amber, please get some recovery help for you and your Mom. Violence abuse and trauma can last a lifetime without reputable help. I will pray for your (you and your Mom) recoveries. I love this group and saw them at Soulfest in New Hampshire this Summer. Also, you may like the music of Zach Williams especially Walk With You. I will wear my purple bracelet for another month in your honor, it is for survivors of family and spousal abuse. God Bless you and may you grow more healthy and stronger every day.

I’m 11 years old, I love singing by myself, not the loudest person ever but I need more boldness to sing in front of my family. I’m at my church right now it’s a Sunday in 2024 and feb 4th, I love church it’s my second home, I’ve been baptized last year on dec 3rd and have stomach problems so I’m praying it will go away… But Amen God is Great. My best friend had cancer and almost died. She made it through because of this song. I can't thank you enough for the face she's still alive. Since was doing chemo, she couldn't speak well for a week. The only words she could say were Ceasefire and Amen.

Yes we can try to help sinners and point them in the right direction, but in a loving way. We aren't any better than they are. My point was I think it's important to love people even if we don't agree with them. I don't agree with the Christians that act superior and better than non believers.
When Jesus found the adulterous woman about to be stoned, what did He say to her?
Did He point at her? She was on her way to hell. But what did Jesus do?

Do you think that the woman caught in adultery would have mended her ways from being stoned? Do you think fingers hadn't been pointed at her before? That she hadn't been jeered, mocked, told she was going to hell, told she was better off dead?

You know what did work, though? What worked was when Jesus - the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world - looked at her and, knowing all that she had done, knowing all of her sins, all of her flaws, all of her mistakes, said, "I will not condemn you. Go, and sin no more."
He didn't point His finger at her. He loved her, and He defended her against the "righteous" fingers, and the literal stones that represent, for us, the hateful things we say to people who are lost.

God is trying to show me something that I am turning a blind eye to-Revenge is not the answer. Revenge does not prove your strength; it exposes your weaknesses and reveals your immaturity. If we want to reach this world for Christ, then we have to let the love of Christ go before our anger and vengeance so to lead us into peace and loving-kindness. Jesus did not die on the cross as an act of revenge or hatred.

Keto Dad I agree. My point is, there is a difference between taking a stand and making your voice heard, and burning buildings and hurting more people in the process. I do not have a problem with protests, it’s the rioters that I believe have gone overboard with destruction and hate.
Please be mindful ... there are also others who have been peacefully protesting in recent years in response to racial injustice - ie Colin Kaepernick and those who choose to bend the knee - who have been negatively sanctioned and disregarded. Even their peaceful, silent protests were deemed too loud...Please pray for healing, for others to accept Jesus as savior, and vote for policies and officials which promote equality.

If you want to hear me explain, you can read further, if not, you can ignore my reply. Also I know that your comment was posted 4 years ago, but I felt compelled to try to explain a bit, hope you don't mind.
In short, sin was brought into the world and we could no longer be free from it. In the past we had to offer sacrifices to God to be forgiven, but it wasnt foolproof. God sent down his only son to live the perfect sinless life we never could and he died for our sins. For sacrifices of the past, they brought lambs without blemish, innocent lambs, and this is where the metaphor comes in. If you know, Jesus also prayed to God asking if he could not go through it, but also said may his will be done. He wasn't immortal, as he took on our flesh. He died but then rose again after 3 days and conquered death and sin. No longer do we have to sacrifice lambs to be temporarily forgiven, but if we pronounce Jesus as our savior, we can come to God through his lens (when sin was introduced, men could no longer have a relationship (friendship) with God, and only the highest of priests can come into his presence). Also, there was no way into Heaven then either, because at the end of the day we were still stained with sin. Now, we can rejoice and have a relationship with our heavenly father once again because of his son's sacrifice, and we are granted salvation and grace for our sins.

YOU SAW them seeking comfort from the above mentioned topography, ONE OF THE MANY MARVELS YOUR PERFECT HANDS HAVE MADE. 👏👏👏 YOU SAW their worries about tomorrow.
If their hearts were a window that they could look through, oh the pains and scars they would see. What a cruel fate the skin gives as a mask to the inward pain. But the skin couldn’t cover THE SUFFERING YOUR ONE AND ONLY SON BORED on the cross as PAYMENT for all our sins because HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ALONE HAD THE MERIT TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR HOLINESS. They have seen a lot of crazy things done in YOUR NAME. Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seek to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take.
Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movies, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST MAKE them understand that there is no way around YOUR TRUTH, and that there is something about YOUR NAME. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them defeat in their minds what is false in YOUR EYES.
LORD GUIDE their thoughts to know that the path of sin is hard on their hearts for the purpose of crying out to YOU to know the joy, peace of having the heavy burden LIFTED by THE GOD OF PEACE I AM, and ANCHOR their souls in THE HAVEN OF REST. In other words, LORD use the storms in their lives to get a hold of them to trust YOU and believe. In truth, YOU ARE THE JOY that seekest them through pain.
LORD HELP their fainting hearts to believe that YOU, who was slain on the cross over 2000 years ago has the POWER TO CHANGE lives today through the INSTANTANEOUS GREAT FAVOR from GOD to the house of Israel made known in believers by YOU to make YOUR NAME EVERLASTING. 🥰 For as the statue liberates the citizens so the cross liberates the soul. ONLY YOU can calm the trouble waters of the mind when one admits to wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, JESUS IS LORD, and believes in the heart that GOD RAISED HIM from the dead TO LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt away from the heart in accordance to YOUR WORD found in Psalm 51:1-10 KJV. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 O, the wonder of it all to experience within the flesh the feeling of a tree being cut back/pruned in order for it to grow stronger and more beautiful after meditating on the words of said Psalm. 🥰🙌
LORD MAKE them know that ONLY YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, through the experience of a new birth within believers, can prevent the family circle from being broken because THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE YOU HAVE GRANTED means a chapter of their lives is decided. Creation sings the rebirth song for them yearly, through YOUR PROMISE of springtime, giving rise to the idea that by the mention of YOUR NAME flowers grow, and the desert blooms again. 🥰
LORD GUIDE their understanding of words to use to come into YOUR PRESENCE with an honest reverence of WHO YOU ARE to experience the beauty that time can't erase YOUR WISDOM resting on their faces. LORD STRENGTHEN their determination to never waiver in efforts to search for YOU because the wages of sin is too high for anyone to pay. Additionally, THE KING OF KINGS is needed in their hearts to learn how to expand their capacity to love for YOU are LOVE in any language. 🥰 Once they learn to speak it with boldness through YOUR WONDERFUL COUNSELING all the world will hear, and know that LOVE is the language of their hearts. So LORD, KEEP KNOCKING on their door until they let YOU in to know hardships and struggles will end with a GREAT CELEBRATION WITH YOU. 🥰🙌
If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee.
Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life), I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh.
O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE because YOUR LOVE ALONE CONQUERS everything by WAITING for them to cease struggling, and finally surrender to YOUR EMBRACE to learn about YOUR LOVE AND PROMISE TO TAKE CARE of your children exquisitely. 🥰 Since... "at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore"... (Psalms 16:11 KJV), and the nail print for them to know YOU by answering the following question. I met this band when I was a little child, and I fell in love with all their songs, because they were unique. After a long time, I drifted away from God, forgetting all these wonderful songs. I always went to church anyway, the problem was that I didn't have a relationship with God. Then I went to the Summer Camp of my Church (Word of Grace Palermo PDG- Parola della Grazia Palermo PDG) (I'm Italian) and God manifested himself in my life in a supernatural way. I felt it enter my heart. It was beautiful and now I will never leave my God 👑❤️🥺. And after a few years I found this song again and I remembered Dor King and Country, I don't know how I could forget it! I was surprised by myself !! 😢😭 Because I didn't hear these songs anymore. But now I always hear these songs❤️ Thank you God

This happened with "Shoulders", "Fix My Eyes", "Oh God Forgive Us", "Ceasefire", "Little Drummer Boy"-Which I saw in concert!-, "O God Forgive Us", "Pioneers", "Joy", "Amen," and "God Only Knows". I love the way their sincere desire to praise God and share his word through song stands at the forefront of everything they do. As someone who has sang solos in church since he was 16 (I'm turning 40 this October by the way--what better present than having the opportunity to be on stage with these guys!?!) and who is currently hard at work co-authoring exciting and action-packed books intended to reach the lost with wholesome Christian values snuck in I can only pray that I one day I’m able to make a similar impact for the Lord. Sindi Matto, i believe it is not that those in the world are better at “loving” humans, i think it is because as Christians we have a higher standard and that is Christ. it is very disappointing when someone in the Church let’s us down. However, we need to remember that we are all human and very likely to make bad calls and mistakes that cost us dearly. God calls us to love first, forgive, then bless by talking about the person on bended knees (to God Almighty who can change us or them). This type of thinking is especially important in particular to those we hurt or hurt us, we must never allow an offense to determine how we feel about another human being. We must learn from Christ’s examples of loving our “enemies” and praying for them; surrendering the situation to God. This type of thinking is catching on and those that are not Christians are learning that lesson too and are implementing into the way they behave with other humans (live and let live philosophy), for the most part it works, but non Christians are human too, and also make mistakes. We need to learn to forgive first, pray for our enemies next and treat all people with compassion and love because we are all flawed.
