Really had an awesome time hanging out and doing this interview! Thank you everyone for these kind comments also! It was great meeting you Bob! Hope to see you down the road again! 🙂💜
Hiking has saved my life. Now that I have reached an age where hiking is hard, I have been walking roads. I walked from Cedar City, Utah to the Nevada border. I could only do a mile or two at a time. I also fight depression.
One quote I read that has stuck with me is “ this life ask of us so much patience, sometimes it seems too much patience.” As a fifty five year old man who lost my wife eleven years ago to a brain tumor, a daughter who was born with a syndrome which has caused her to attempt suicide I must admit I struggle to make sense of this life. Depression is a horrible sickness, one it seems that lends itself to traveling it alone, I tend to tell everyone things are great even when I crave feeling nothing.
Thank you for sharing. I am also struggling with something similar.. I see you. May the good Lord give us peace and strength even when we do not feel Him near.
I’ve worn a mask my whole life. Since the spouse passed, the kids left, the pets went to the pet park in three sky (and lockdown) the mask slips. A lot. Lots of crying in the shower. BUT I’m finally getting it out. Going out on the road had helped tremendously. Still lonely but this Country is beautiful. I’ve cried on mountains, the desert & the ocean! When I’m healthier I will adopt a Senior dog or two. I see the forest through the trees-it’s just a little misty. Depression took my Grandma, my Aunts & my Mother. I don’t want that to be my daughters, granddaughters legacy.
@@stanbyme7874 The quote " We all wear masks...metaphorically speaking." from the Jim Carrey movie "the Mask" is so true. The only time we are ever truly our true selves is when we sit in silence with ourselves and not many people are willing to do that. Good luck to you and happy days always!
Lifelong suicide ideation but no attempts. At almost 68 and retired I can reflect on what is most spiritually important and that is FORGIVENESS of others and yourself. I worked away my depression by working hard but now retirement forces you to face your fears. The good news is that WE HAVE the power to banish the demons around us. I call on Jesus and he has lessened my burden, though I am a sinner. Our spiritual journey is eternal in this life and the next. Peace out, Nikki
I admire her spirit and inner strength. Glad she is doing what she wants to do. As Bob said, healing in nature is a big part of Van and car life. 100%.

Technically she's not homeless if she has a roof over her head, and that Jeep is beautifully setup. I really dig it. I live my Xterra part time, soon to be full time with my cat. It has helped my mental health without any question.
Years ago when my life was really turned upside down I read some where that after FDR was paralyzed from polio everyday he read " Invictus" . I looked it up and started to do that as well. It is so incredibly inspiring that if you are struggling it helps to pull all your broken pieces together. It gave me the strength to keep moving forward. Even now , although my life is great....I like to read it ...just don't do it as often. ❤
Sarah seems very smart and very strong! I'm so glad you are happy now, Sarah. I'm affected by the suicide of a close family member too. I admire how you pulled yourself up by your bootstraps. Your jeep is gorgeous! And you are an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your story, and showing us your jeep inside! Good health and happiness to you always! Safest travels!
I’m a solo female in my jeep wrangler too! For 10 months now, I love being on the road, and I love the minimalist lifestyle. Great to see your setup, and thank you for sharing your story! ❤
I am a therapist and each one of us deals with life crisis and traumatic events differently. I find outdoors to be one of the best gifts of Mother Nature.
What a strong, resilient woman to experience all that she did and to talk about it without falling apart. I’m not sure I could be that strong. Sending her lots of love and healing vibes ❤

What a sweet gal! It takes guts and a strong will to overcome severe depression. I’m so happy she’s found her passion and living it every single day. Nature truly is the best medicine. Live for today everyone, because tomorrow is promised to no one.
I lived out a pick up truck shell, and then a suburban. It’s 100% possible. Gotta love being outside for it to work. I’ve upsized to a small box van now. It feels like a mansion.
A very moving story. What an amazing woman Sarah is, to create this transition for herself, in such a constructive way! Great compassion for her for the catalyst that led her to this new life (and for Bob, as well). I'm so pleased to hear that she can at least make some money from YT. I hope this will continue to grow and support her as she continues her healing journey, and her creative journey through life. 🙏💕🌟☮
