How down to earth! She mentioned getting caught up in what social media etc says you need/should be buying/doing and then simplifying again. Wonderful testimony. Simple no build that is highly functional.
This girl has nothing just laying around! She is kind of strick on herself and enjoys the very minimalist life. She enjoys different kind of jobs so is never broke. You go girl. Thanks Bob for a great video. From Central Oklahoma
I enjoyed the opening comment, seeing Lindy's rig set up but what she said at the end about fear and over thinking hit home. I recently found my son and I displaced right before a Northland winter as my landlord is going to a nursing home and his kids are selling his properties. I literally have days. Although my goal was to be nomadic eventually after I dealt with the final preparations, and I do feel somewhat ready, I have friends and family that insist on shaking my confidence. My real fear is being stuck in a Minnesota winter without a rig. I wish people in my life could be half as inspiring and encouraging as this woman. Thanks for the video. I needed this today.
@@Couplescience thank you so much for those statistics - as I have lived in unusual ways for a very long time and possibly headed for being truly nomadic, I appreciate them very very much. So often in life the ones that one would think would love and understand us, just don't! I guess they just aren't "our people." Safe travels!
"I don't equate happiness with stuff." Very well said! We spend our whole life working to aquire "stuff," and we can't take it with us when we die. Great video!
One of the best little build outs I’ve seen in a mini van. And early 40’s… we should all be that fortunate to look half our age! 😊 Thank you for showing us your little home on wheels.
The simple setups are always my favorite. “Not a build-out, but a put-in” as KC said. Would have been nice to see what she has in the minivan’s basement (in the back and stow-and-go, if so equipped).
So glad I went back thru vids. Lindy is so right, we are such over-consumers in this society, and beyond personal positives or negatives, societal impact of such consumerism has been disastrous for the planet, economy, humanity and other species in so many ways. Wish more of us (myself included) would re-evaluate this side of ourselves.
Love her attitude and van setup! I've followed your channel for years now! A quote that came to me a few weeks ago " The man who does with the most, probably lived life the least"!
I love Lindy and follow her on UA-cam!! She totally doesn't look like she's in her 40's, however, 40 is young to me being 60! I think i have the exact same cot in my minivan and I agree that it's too big! I bought it off Amazon thinking I would really appreciate the storage space underneath, which is nice but less floor space. Thanks for sharing, Bob!!
I finally found this video again! I believe this is one of your best videos because of Lindy's story, her mini van set-up, and her knowledge of the nomad life for her. I had to keep stopping the video to write more ideas . Thanks Bob for letting her tell her story with ease. And thank you Letty. I'll be finding your channel to subscribe. See you all down the road.
I have watched this same video over and over again. She is so inspiring. I've been living in my 2009 Kia Rondo in Florida since Nov 2023. My plan is to save enough to buy a Dodge Grand Caravan and outfit it in this same minimalist manner. I start receiving my SS retirement in 2 months. I will continue working part time until next spring and then I'm heading west!
I've lived in my car becuase I went homeless, it wasn't a choice & it wasn't prepared to live in. But I still don't know how people do this. I was constantly terrified, didn't know where to be; slept at a truck stop & during day sat under an overpass at a park, was severely overheated day & freezing at night & dehydrated, not eating, etc...I just hope the people profiled do this by full choice with no other conditions, not in any way forced into this financially. Because if it's not your full choice it's absolutely homelessness & it's really really scary. More power to people who do this for their own personal pleasure.
I like these minivans mainly because of the under storage. However, I believe that the sienna's like mine are larger. I have not decided to remove the third row, in case I decide to sell it. In my 2016 i have most of my needed stuff neatly in the rear, leaving me with ample room, doors free, no clutter. I just roll out a twin trifold mattress. I believe that three medium frame people can comfortably sleep in it. After having dealt with a bed for a while, I decided to rearrange my stuff and just toss the mattress on the floor for sleeping. I can use that space to shower, exercise, stretch, entertain, etc. I also left the third row small seat still standing and I use it to sit for whatever I need, and is a legal seat for those occasions when I need to carry that extra passenger. Inside, I carry 2 of those three drawers plastic containers a small alpicool, my mini battery and pecron lfp 600 power station, some totes for a decent amount of clothing and other sleeping linens. I do not use a stove but I carry a very small one butane just in case, for those gloomy days. I believe; I finally have the set up that works for my life style. Enjoy your travels! Nice setup!
Well I'm so very happy for you ; my name is Renee and I know most of theses videos are old but I try to contact everyone that has inspired me to take on this kind of life style and I have nothing saved for this but I am working on the finances to be able to get in the road and meet up with all you fellow nomadics out there I'm very excited about this journey I hope that I will here from you one day or just maybe meet up with the meetings here in Michigan so I wish you good blessings too where ever your traveling take care Renee really hoping to hear from you😊😊😊
Nominated since 2014, that’s why she look so young. 20 not 40😂 nice van, very clean. I’m in Milwaukee, Wisconsin living in a camper since January of this year ❤it
There are so many great humans on this channel. As soon as I see a video posted, I jump right on it. Beautiful spirit with Lindy. Love the minimal, uncluttered space. Thank you! ❤️❤️
I love this one. Its great seeing how content Lindy is with her minimalistic lifestyle. It is very liberating to step away from the consumerist culture. I live in a no build SUV and I love it. I used to dream of having a big winnebago but I now definitely prefer a small set up. She gives great advice here saying not to over plan your build just go out and start and put it together as your need and living style requires. I've been a nomad 5 years or so now and I've had a few different sets ups in that time. Initially I had in my mind to create the perfect set up and stick to it but I think that's more a realestate type thinking. In nomadic life its all about change and adapting to your surrounds. I'll definitely go and give Lindy a follow , thanks for sharing 😊❤️
So true about planning the perfect setup is like a real estate mindset, nomad is like constant adaptation. Never thought about it that way, makes so much sense!
I loved watching the tour and listening to you. I can understand wanting to go private. There's a caring in this nomadic lifestyle. Stay safe. And God bless.
Love what she had to say. I just made my mind up to start van life. I am afraid but it's because of the unknown...ironically it's the unknown that I love.
Great build! So simple, organized and clean! I’m from MN too and every year I despise winter more and more. Went to Quartzsite for my first RTV Jan ‘23 and stayed in my CRV. Loved it and can’t wait to do more and travel with the weather.
Thanks for the potty idea. It’s probably the most annoying part of thinking about going tiny. I’m not into the “stop in a gas station” thing. If I need to use the potty I prefer not to go scouting one out. This is a great portable solution! Love it! Hope you are able to get the sleep setup you want. A comfortable bed is neck and neck with the potty issue. Actually bathroom in general and bed. Happy trails. Vaya con Dios!!
I live in a small house in east Texas...less than 700 sq ft. People make fun of me be cause I have pretty much lived a minimalist life style for several years,I only use lights etc when needed or use rechargeable lights..my electric bill is usually just the minimum for service same with gas and water...I basically live in 1 room...would love to down size to a RV or van...being in a wheelchair for the most part would make that a bit difficult....maybe 1 day I'll figure out how
You are so smart 🤓 keeping your life small must be so freeing. You can just live your life and not have to spend a day packing up to move. I wish you the best life ever.
😊That's what I was just thinking about too. I've done it in a double door pickup (with 2 big dogs), in a 18' teepee, in a 2 room tent in the desert in Arizona, in a log cabin in the bush in Ontario, Canada, n when I was a lot younger n dumber, hitched all over the country. I'm in Oklahoma now to help my brother with our mom who has dementia; but, I'm hoping to, my health permitting, be back traveling 1 of these days. Safe travels to you....🙂
Lindy! I’m a subscriber to your channel. I love the set up of your dressers! Reminds me of my grandmothers art deco dressing table. It had a huge circular mirror over the middle section. I have a similar set up but mine are a different color and all the same level.
Thank you Bob, Lindy is lovely. I have the same simple way of life. Small car with a few necessities and a couple of knickknacks, my clothing and cleaning products, a bed and it all fits very well.

"Stuff doesn't define you" Lindy is 100% real nomad
Namasté & Ho’Oponopono everything.
This girl has nothing just laying around! She is kind of strick on herself and enjoys the very minimalist life. She enjoys different kind of jobs so is never broke. You go girl. Thanks Bob for a great video. From Central Oklahoma
I mean who wouldn’t clean before the video
@@vanmasterflash7153 I mean, she literally showed & explained that she has practically nothing to leave around.
I enjoyed the opening comment, seeing Lindy's rig set up but what she said at the end about fear and over thinking hit home. I hope and pray that you both are doing well and that you're out there enjoying your new nomadic life. Hang in there. 🙏 God is so good. Depend on Him.

You can do it!!! Many ladies do it and start where they are.
What a well organised and grounded lady. Thanks for letting everyone see your home!
Think I'm going to sell my house and live in a car in Arizona
"I don't equate happiness with stuff." Very well said! We spend our whole life working to aquire "stuff," and we can't take it with us when we die. Great video!
So true 💯 percent
I had a patient named Bob Wells, very gental and loving soul, WW2 Vet. So the name Bob Wells really makes me have the Utmost Respect💞💞💞
One of the best little build outs I’ve seen in a mini van. And early 40’s… we should all be that fortunate to look half our age! 😊
Thank you for showing us your little home on wheels.
At 79, I look like I'm 69😅
A minimalist minivan is the best!
I love love love how organized and uncluttered her van is. What a great history of her van life, too!
I'm watching this video again because it's great

@Livin’ the Life Lindy I like that. I have a skoolie and I'm definitely putting in vs building it out as a single mama

I never though such a small place could be so aesthetically pleasing its a really serene place and so well organized.
Yep. Live out of our vehicle. Not in. And don't become emotionally attached to Stuff that can't Love ya back. That last one I relearn too often..
Being cozy can be any size! I'm with you about a tiny house, but finding land is a challenge. We girls need to work together!

Well I am also in my 60s, and I think she looks every day of late 40s!
the link from this video to her YT channel does not work. Did she change it??
I can’t find her channel either
I Cant find her UA-cam OR FACEBOOK ?? And heard she might of Quit Everything?? Is she ok ?? Do you know what happened?? 😢

Lindy's set up is just right for her space. She makes it sound so easy - love that. Thank you.
Good for you Lindy. I wish I had learned sooner, now I am an old person trying to get rid of all this "stuff"
I can relate. Never to late to get rid of those material balls and chains.
Very inspiring video ! Love your videos ! It all started with you Bob thank you .
I love her hair ♥️
I love her setup! Great organization. Yes... Just do it. If you're wanting to do vanlife! 7 months in and I'm loving my freedom! ❤👍
Thank you Bob! You have such a soothing peaceful voice and great videos! You are a great teacher !😊
What a cutie with a great outlook and a great rig. always the best interviews!

Yea yea on the minivans!!! I’m an Astro owner! 2000
I am continuously impressed by people's creativity in there builds!👍
40s is young. there are many peoples who are nomadic so the desire is natural for many
SHE DID A VERY NICE NO BUILD, VERY CREATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL IDEAS.
I have followed Lindy’s channel for quite a while, and her van build from a few years ago is still one of my favorites.

She’s absolutely enjoyable. I loved this interview.
Lindy is a very nice lady and has a really good outlook on life. I wish her well. Safe travels.
Wow!! I totally know how she feels! Brilliant woman!! 🌹
Lovely lady living her good life
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY 😊.
I think this was the most inspiring nomad video I've seen. I cannot picture myself in an expensive RV or a complicated build. This - I could do this!

Bravo, keep living and loving and spreading kindness.
I seriously don’t think it’s in my DNA to be a minimalist. I absolutely admire that she can do what she does!! She is so free!
Love you attitude your an inspiration to the solo van life.
You are so pretty!....nice van.. be safe!!!
What an amazing soul Lindy is, thank you so very much for sharing your set up and story. Much love and many blessings
love your great attitude.
I love your attitude Lindy…you are way ahead good job!! Stuff doesn’t define you!! Thanks Bob for another super video!!!
Awesome and great job
What a great woman. Well spoken, Attractive and very smart. I hope our paths cross one day.
she is a sweet heart !! LESS IS MORE !! thanks bob..i enjoyed this interview..
...Gypsy J van...
Thx 4 Sharing Ur Hm w/us all❤ I luv what u had 2 say at the end of the clip, 2 just try, do it , & go from there 2 see what u need on the road. ❤
