Yay ur #1 on trending
hi friends
You guys are great mechanic
The first time i come just about the video posted
Jessica Shivnarine n; Baby what are you
I would honestly watch an entire channel dedicated to restoring pimp my ride cars
J2thePower0f3
No shit. I’m 100% feelin that.
I'm sure you'd be able to make a LOT of videos off them. Think about it, all these people had car makeovers for a reason: THEY COULDN'T TAKE CARE OF THEIR CARS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Then you GIVE them an effectively 'new' car, but what changed? Nothing. They still can't take of their vehicles so they thrash the ones they just got. I bet you check on them and all these PMR cars are trash.
Re-Pimping my ride
Me too
This comment does NOT have enough thumps up.
I watched this ride get pimped as a kid.
I watched it get restored as an adult.
What a journey.
Full circle man..full circle 🤯

What’s the season be episode?
I want 2 🎲
@@dj_dezeo One month late but it is Season 6, Episode 7 :)
A family in my town used to own this van, I remember seeing it driving around all the time 😂 I always wondered what happened to it. Glad to see it got some new life!!!
And what do you remember more about it ?
Surprised this comment hasn't blown up, but i I'm guessing around 2 years from now 50 people are gonna be replying saying this aged like milk
This aged like milk
Aged like milk
This aged like milk.
Wait, the Catalytic Converter was even still on this thing?
I want to live where ever this thing was sitting because the fact that nothing was stolen from this thing is IMPRESSIVE!
Houston?
that's EXACTLY what i was thinking!!! like this shit sat abandoned for four years and that things still on there?? i was blown away
it was sitting in boston btw at least at the end
Haha it wouldn’t have lasted 2.5 seconds in Philly 🤣
Doesnt happen in Mass
I'm honestly more impressed that all of the remotes were still in the car.

I think Car related remotes are in some other league of remotes where people dont lose them. I bought an 89 Chevy conversion van with a TV in horrible shape (maybe not as bad as this caravan but bad) and the remote was there, same with a 2008 Mazda 3 with an Eanon center consoley navi thing... also seen quite a few that I've bought off craigslist with the garage opener still on the visor and a 2-3 times I called or emailed them to see if they needed it (those things are expensive) and they told me it wasnt even theirs and mustve been there when they bought the car
and no one had yanked all the electronics. if someone had that definitely would have been the end
U should start collecting all of the Pimp My Ride cars
It's such a good bad idea!
@@mindkrall More like a Hoovie idea.
i had the same idea.
From what I understand; they got really lucky on this one...
What if some were crushed?
Well played! This popped up in my UA-cam feed and I was hooked. Funny thing is, I wouldn't have given a second thought to watching this if it was a rare, vintage Ferrari or a 1 million dollar, limited edition Lamborghini. But you mention a busted up junker of a van that was featured on Pimp My Ride from the early 2000's and I watch every second of it. Nostalgia is truly a bitch!
Holly crap. I was one of the guys that worked on that. Thank you so much for rebuilding this.
Did you work on the VW Thing from season 4 as well?
@@Brainshatterer I helped work on the cars in season 5 and 6. We had some vw’s there.
@@keithhale200 I got my wife on the show, we still have her VW Thing. I'm working on a where are they now follow up series on the cars. Want to drop any behind the scenes knowledge?
Good thing you blurred the plate , that way I wouldn't be able to identify the van if I saw it 😂
🤣
The license plates were shown briefly in several shots throughout the video series, in those shots they weren't blurred.

It’s because they ain’t worth shit
It's not like anybody would actually use them to make jewelry, lol

Love the idea of having all the TVs and the pimped-out sound system of this car but just using it to watch Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.
Man, you two made Pimp My Ride look like child's play when you all fixed this up. Awesome job.
It kinda was, when all WCC and GAS did was add tacky, useless shit over a period of months.
what's really impressive is this broke down, filthy, hideous monstrosity was turned into a working, clean, hideous monstrosity.
not clean
nah its cool, looks straight from a tarantino flick
@@BastardSugah nope. Yeah it would look nicer if they just redid the whole car but remember this is an actual car from a really popular American TV show. It has history in that regard and it's a symbol of the early 2000s
this made my night😂😂😂😂
I love it
Back in the day I thought it would be the greatest thing ever to have a car with that many monitors. Now I'm thinking, what in the actual fuck
and they can all only play one thing at a time
I mean last week I saw a single cab silverado with dvd players in the headrests...in a single cab...
Congratulations you're an adult
Sadly, we have grown
now it comes standard on every car
The cinematic cut of Jared is actual gold.
I'm late to this but cane we start a "flip my ride " series where you buy cheap cars and restore and see how much profit you can make compared to what you spent on it
So I'm even later but you literally mean "Wheeler Dealers" a British series where they do exactly that
I have had some crazy things show up in my driveway, but this was certainly the strangest.
This is more reliable then anything in your fleet lol jk
Please tell me you made a custom necklace on the couch.

2010: pimp my ride
2019: fix my ride

This is known
Each abandoned PMR restoration is worth a Sukuna finger.
Well that shouldn't cost too much.
☺
🤣 or a ton of shit. Time will tell 🤣
“It needs an alignment” it’s a Chrysler van, it always need an alignment. These things need alignments right after getting one done.
They need the alignments of the alignemetmnt
Lol thats funny
True that.
Loved my van, but the fucker pulled to the right like a pig whenever you breathed on the throttle.
I have an 07 T&C no issues with alignment 🤞🤞
Shoutout to Mad Mike for his wiring work!
I wonder if the original owner has seen this video. I’d cry, because you guys returned it to what it was. She probably just couldn’t keep up with the repairs.
Or just grew out of it. Families need more than four seats and no boot and you know maybe you don't want it flashy anymore.
In 15 years someone will find this and rerepimp it. The poor car lol.
They sent it to a museum so there's a good chance it'll stay in relatively good shape.
Pimping ain't easy, my brother.
Just let it die hahaha
The car is internally crying for death to come.
That car belong to game Jack. It was made for the stroll
You know you're old when you saw these cars get pimped in the original show and now the cars have aged again and need to be re-pimped 🤦🏾♂️🥴🤣🔥
Gilbert Herrera holy shit! I have never felt so old in my life!
13:26 Is that Mr. Rogers neighborhood on the T.Vs in the back of the van? 😂

"I've got eight very small tvs, and one big one, none of which are facing a direction you can comfortably watch from, and they all play the exact same thing."
Weird flex, but ok....
I feel like their idea of luxury in 2004 was just as many TVs as possible and that's where the logic ended.
Jo Tremmel Do I was teen in this period and yea pretty much. It was all about loud Candy Paints, Rims, a Wall of speakers and as much new technology as you could put in the car. It was a flex indeed. However PMR took it wayyy overboard and that was low key a joke in itself. You couldn’t tell me as a teen we wasn’t ballin because our cars had tv gps and automatic start and a 50 disc cd changer. Oh how it’s changed.
@@theshevirgo Yeah, manufacturers realized they could put all that stuff on at the factory (albiet in a more sensible installation) and make a hefty profit on it, so there was no more need for giant fiberglass housings and aftermarket electronics that puked out after a few months of being rattled around on pothole-filled roads.
Josh Elliott I’m crying. This comment made my life.
Nah fam... during our time it wasn't weird coz we never looked at the screen that much anyway. Those small TV's were more like bling bling so when you park the car and open it up it would look flashy in the dark while people dance to the music and make out in the dark.
Your background music during the montages was really good, very nostalgic of 80s movies soundtracks by a band called Tangerine Dream, Miracle Mile and Risky Business specifically.
It's called retrowave, it's one of my favorite electronic subgenres.
Man they did a better job on those vehicles than I would have expected, crazy how much of it still worked after so long.
I cannot believe how the jewelry station was left untouched for all those years 💎

I DEF 2nd this...no really...this NEEDS and SHOULD be done. Think about it, there IS demand for this. Dude, you can corner the market for it in YT videos.
How about a UA-cam channel where they find TV cars from all shows and either restore them or at least locate them. We know where Corvette Summer car is...
GMG owns it. Subscribers can remember and request cars to be found.
Rockford files Firebird, Ferrari from Magnum PI, so on and so forth...
laman491 The French UA-cam channel Movie Car Central does this
Starsky and hutch car. Knight Rider ...a team van...
im most impressed by how well those headlight restoration kits work when you actually have patience
I paid a lot of money for Firestone to restore headlights. It was such a waste of money! That kit looks like it really worked.
I just buff them with medium cutting compound or wet sand then buff
I'd like to try one. My sibling cracked my car into someone a few years ago but was at least nice enough to buy me a new headlight. But I've not replaced the other one, which is extremely foggy, so my light quality is mismatched. Instead of paying $100 for a new headlight, I'm going to try one of the kits first and see how that goes.
The big problem is that you will need to do it every year for the rest of time because the protective coatings are gone.
@@Luckingsworth Exactly. Maybe every two years depending on the driving patterns, and if the car sits outside most of the time or in a garage. It's a temporary fix.
I remember watching the episode of Pimp My Ride that this beast was created on.
One might be persuaded to talk this van down for what it is, but I find it to be quite endearing..! I’m happy that it’s back in shape!
2004: Me with 11 years old watching this vehicle restored on MTV's Pimp My Ride
2019: Me again with 26 years old watching the same vehicle on UA-cam to another restoration 🤣🤣🤣

86Themadhatter right? I tried to restore my wife’s headlights on her 2012 and it still looked like shit. Wondering if I didn’t push hard enough on the drill when sanding them down
@@zbeshears6945 all you have to do is get you a wet sandpaper kit with 1000 2000 3000 and 4000 grit wet sand paper and do it in stages make sure you use plenty of water and then use rubbing compound Turtle Wax works good and then get a good carnuba wax McGuire's Gold Class is the best

I don’t know if you are stereotyping, or going off the original show this Van was redone on but most the cars from pimp my drive weren’t actually owned by nasty people. The car were trashed before filming starting. You should look into it, the whole show was actually very shady and it took them 6 months to a year just to do a single build sometimes.
We need more Pimp my Ride restorations!!!!
Jared is a total Chad. Got an early start but did it for the content and recorded everything. Just with less flair.
Also worth noting that while the ATF trick works extremely well but is not advised on modern stuff with tighter tolerances or diesels. A good synthetic will yield the same results over a longer term. I have done the ATF trick countless times but I do it on a fresh oil change with a cheap filter and oil, I'll run it for a couple tanks of fuel and then repeat as necessary until I'm satisfied. Then follow with a good synthetic and a higher end filter.

Some amazing work restoring this thing, though from what I've read a lot of PMR cars had electrical problems with all the shit they put in the cars that they weren't meant to support, it's good to see you were able to get everything working for sure. I would have torn out that whole jewelry console and restored access from the driver side sliding door personally, but who knows what kind of electrical nightmares that would have caused.
Was not sure if I was going to subscribe to this channel but Tavarish letting the auto parts store look at Tav's work sold me on subbing. ;)
I am really impressed that practically all the original stuff the show put in it is still with it! With all people it’s been passed through you would think one of those people would have pulled and thrown stuff out. It’s awesome that it all stayed with the van over the years.

@@john-paulsilke893 I don't know about that. They were working out of a legitimate custom shop. I don't think they restored much for the show, just fixed problems and covered the rest.
The PMR crew always had the basic functions subcontracted to mechanics, and then went to work on their customization after.
