@@fritsmolenaar05 For sure I love MCM. They definitely have their entire own feel and style though. This nailed the "3 hosts with different approaches" feel of best Top Gear IMO. Like you could tell a lot of it was setup, but it still felt natural, and that's what matters. MCM is amazing though.

Amazing how engineers (especially exotics) to build a car around it’s most common faults making simple repairs multi hour operations.
This is becoming more and more common even on 'normal' cars unfortunately. They're chasing emissions instead of pure performance though. The result is basically the same though which is cram as much shit into as small a space as possible. Makes the car a better driver while it's working, but does nothing good for maintainability. Bonus points for more and more 'non-serviceable' components too which you can basically translate to "pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to replace an entire assembly isntead of the 15-30 dollar seal/bearing within in it that's actually defective".
@@Tk3997 I think EVs significantly improve the maintenance requirements over ICE which have become bloated and incredibly complex in recent years

Sort of, but EVs have the draw back of being able to fucking KILL YOU if you do something wrong. If the engine is off there's really very few ways to badly hurt yourself working on an ICE vehicle, but high voltage changes everything.
Finally - someone pays decent homage to Clarkson/May/Hammond. Every other effort has been so cringingly awful. This was fun.
Even i think grand tour is cringy with even actual cast from old top gear, it's just feel like a student copying their friends homework and change it slightly so the teacher won't notice. This show is carrying those old tg spirit but have their own soul and appeal.

Ed - Jeremy: The voice. He's owned, sold, and lived exotics for years. He has an insane amount of experience explaining the nuances that make a vehicle a driver's car. He can pull an simile out of his ass like the best of 'em.
Tavarish - James: The actual gear head. I think his garage knowledge on the next episode will be a perfect analogy to May's seemingly random spurts of airplane and mechanical facts.
Tyler - Richard: The wildcard. Has owned the worst so he can appreciate the best. He played by the rules and his secret genius has put him in hooptie after hooptie, only to land him in the best purchase... so far.
Excited to see where the series goes, gentlemen. Great job.

I was always a fan of mid engine sports cars. I used to own a Fiat X1/9 and a Indy Fiero. They didn’t have much power but they were fun to drive! That Corvette C8 is so cool!

@Chef C It took many seasons for their chemistry to build to what we remember. The early top gear episodes are good, but IMHO not like the latter half.

What a great show, I loved the original UK Topgear even though i'm from Australia, partially because of the way they interacted & the challenges, you guys have that, we tried to do a version here, didn't work, they did a new version in the UK, still a no go, even the original Topgear guys started another show, just didn't work. I haven't even finished watching & I have already liked & subscribed, nice to see your not shy with your spends, cheers.

I have that problem with my 2 g35's every now and again. I pull the pump out a lil bit to let more air out and that seems to work,, buy it's not very often. But it's annoying when it does happen. Especially when it 5 degrees out with a wind chill of -20. My old 2000 eclipse gt would do it too, except much worse than my Infinitis, they are 14 years old though and overall in great shape. I'm pretty sure it is a vent to vent the air as your pumping in fuel. The extra pressure from the gas makes the pump think it's full when you get a couple gallons in.
I always come back to this episode and die laughing. Freddy the originator of massaging the rules on car trek🤣
