What a joy to be on the show!! So fun to be reminded of my time with you all in Colorado Springs!! Watching it back made me realize that as we spoke I didn’t give all three of my tips, so here they are: 1️⃣ Clear and clean your space 2️⃣ Declutter: sort into piles: Keep, Trash, Bless, & Sell (we talked about this tip) 3️⃣ Give “Homes” to any items deemed worthy of staying in your home AND MAKE SURE YOUR KIDS KNOW WHERE THAT “HOME” IS! I hope that helps for anyone watching and wondering! Have a blessed day! Hope you enjoyed this interview. Thanks again for having me on the show!!
Hi Kristi! I’m in the middle of moving to a new house in 2 weeks! I’m married, we have two boys, 11 & 6. Any tips you can give me or a link on your UA-cam specifically talking about my current situation? I would appreciate it! Also, I just subscribed to your channel!😊 Thanks!!
@@justbyf8h Hey there! Oh my!! I probably missed giving you my moving tips. That does get crazy. :) Hope it went well. Just in case you haven't moved yet, my best tips are to pack your boxes according to what room the items will be going to, then label the box for the new room. Too often people label where the content is coming from. That doesn't matter if you won't be using those items in that room. Each box is labeled VERY clearly with the room it will be going to and a number. I use a big notebook and keep it in the room with me and as I pack. I put a number on the box and then I list all the major items I will want to know are in there on the notebook. An example is to label a box: Kitchen #20 Then on my notebook, Box #20 = Crockpot, can opener, plates, etc. This way if I'm scrambling for a can opener I can easily find it. (Granted, I'd have my can opener in an "open now" type of box.) Probably doesn't help you right now. Hope the move went well.
I really enjoyed this one! When it came on the radio I told my husband "hey, I know her. That's Kristi Clover from UA-cam!" I just had to come over here and comment. What a great reminder that, as a mom, my worth is in Christ and not the state of my house! Great tips Kristi!
Aww! Thanks!! So happy you enjoyed this interview. & yes, we all need daily reminders that we are precious in the Lord’s sight even when our homes are a little unsightly. 😊
I’m preparing to sell my house “as is,” and will be joining the Vanlife movement. Thanks for your helpful tips and uplifting attitude. I really was looking, and found, a spiritual way to declutter. 👏
I agree about the 1 year old with chore training, it can give them some confidence and belonging. I did this with my son and it was really enjoyable. It doesn’t mean later years we’re perfect- but those time are some of my most meaningful.
I love it! They will learn. I love seeing the pride in their eyes when they've done something...vs. me jumping in and correcting every little mistake. Great job, Emily!
"Not to be too serious about this stuff it is not eternal" - Jim Daly -ouch and wow... Oh man why do we women place our value in the appearance and functioning capabilities of our homes so much. Thank you Mrs.Clover this was great. I so appreciate how you can publicly admit your struggles with us other women. It is so freshing, especially the point of what's most important.
Thanks! I figure it doesn't help anyone to not be real. I speak on home organization, but my house can be just as messy as anyone's house if we don't stay on top of things or are going through a crazy season. In those crazy seasons, I just keep reminding myself that my first priority is the Lord and my family. Granted, there are seasons when we have chaos happening in our lives and I know it helps everyone not to have as much chaos in my home. There's a fine line. :)

Garage, closets, drawers full of junk that I think I’m going to need one day, loads of laundry... the list goes on and on lol. Thank you for this!
