    I watched "Closer to the Edge" again earlier and noticed the part where the riders talk about how you can take Ballagarey at full throttle (and the following corners) as long as you commit early enough. I've always braked here so I just tried keeping on the gas and it works! In this sense I think the game does a brilliant job of replicating the real race because even on the TV screen that corner is exhilarating/terrifying.
    And I notice of course that you manage to take this corner almost perfectly.

    Its like watching a lazy Sunday bike ride in 3d person, l blaze along wheels on fire, heart in my mouth, hanging on for dear life, congratulating myself on every fast corner l live through.

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  6 років тому

      Well ppl first person generally dont like ppl in 3'd, because they are faster. Playing the game in 3'd not being quite the same challenge, but tbh I actually think this is looking good for 3'd person, and way better looking than what the game is now

    • @yorkshirepud6676
      @yorkshirepud6676 6 років тому +1

      Online McGuinness666 l had a go last night after watching this it not as easy as it looks, changed back to first person about half way round, I try not to be bias and would practice the 3d person just to show I could play all aspects of the game, its all good fun, still looks slow in comparison to first person that needs a tweak up I think.

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  6 років тому

      No wasent easy at all. Heard lots of ppl saying its easier in 1'st person. My opinion on that is its harder taking it to the limit in first than 3'd. It feels more natural at first in 1'st person, but trying to go fast is hard imo, and I take my hat of to anyone that can do this sort of laptimes on the game in 1'st person view

    I’d love it if milestone bought the data for the circuit so it could be used on a good game like Ride3

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  5 років тому

      That could happen. Its a licensing issue. BigBen holds the license, and all rights reserved, and could potentially hire Milestone to do the job. Thats if there not too busy? They have allready worked together on other projects like the official Supercross game

      What do you mean a good game. TT is much better than people give it credit for, you obviously can't play it. Learn the course and the racing line and you'll find this incredibly difficult game is far more chiseled than you might think

  • @fishyfish06
    @fishyfish06 3 роки тому +1

    I've done a 17m 31 on the Anstey 600 from a standing start ( no crashes on that run ). Trouble is, I normally crash 3 times as I'm on it so much. I reckon I could do sub 17m from standing start, which, if it's a flying lap, easy take 20 seconds off of that time as well.I will keep trying.

  • @rocnoir4233

    Just picked up this game. After about 15 laps of the TT course it certainly has grown on me, but the handling does have that twitchy rally car on tarmac feel to it. It's lacking the sensation of grip that TT Superbikes had back in the day. The squirm of the rear, the headshakes. I hope they can somehow patch it or possibly fiddling with the setup may help ? Yet to really delve into the game completely.

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII

      One thing I find really cool is the rider comming out of the seat on the jumps. Anyway I dident care much for it at first either. I recommend starting out getting a feel for the game on the other tracks before moving on to IOM on a SSP machine. I dident care for the SBK's at first, and the SSP really helped me get a feel for the gameplay, and I was later able to pick up the SBK's again. If you notice Theres not a lot of diffrence in laptimes between the SSP, and the SBK's, but quite a lot more handling required. Also I recommend playing the game onboard view(helmet) Not for fast laps obviously, but its just a much nicer experience. Anyway I mostly use med to full ABS, no TCS, anti-wheelie set to med for a fast lap. Not OB ofcourse. Anyway games a gem imo IMO TT is just a bit too hard for most ppl

    • @rocnoir4233
      @rocnoir4233 6 років тому

      I might just do a bit of career and get some laps up on the other tracks first then. That said, I just this morning put in my first full lap no crashes on the TT course(SSP). I have to say heading through Union Mills and particularly along Sulby with OB is a real buzz and tests the limits of my mid 30's brain. Shadows become a real factor.

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  6 років тому

      Wow thats impressive! Forget what I said then. You obviously have some experience. This game will grow on you I whould think then. Im taking a real shine to the onboard helmet view

      If you put it into first person it feels a lot more controllable, the back seems to have more grip, the twitches are less noticeable, but it seems a lot faster and become blurry due to the speed but can be changed in settings hope this helps👍😀

    Does anybody slow down for left hander before parliament square or do you just lift off? I used to break but now as I get more confident with the rear end of my Silicone Engineering Kawasaki I’m going through it faster! Love to hear what everyone else does👍🏻

    • @theinperfectbiscuit
      @theinperfectbiscuit 6 років тому

      Also for Douglas road corner do you take it in high 3rd or low 4th? I find taking it in a low 4th for better grip coming out of the corner

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  6 років тому

      Lift off then aply a bit of throttle to carry you through the corner. If you just lift off the bike has a tendancy to loose grip on the rear, but if you aply the throttle the rear-wheel grips the track, and pushes you forward. I in general dident touch the brakes more than I had to, but this was from before the patch

    • @theinperfectbiscuit
      @theinperfectbiscuit 6 років тому

      Online McGuinness666 yeah I’ve noticed some sections of the track have more grip than other- so I’ve noticed that Glen Helen (section 4) has no grip what’s so ever so when you lift off the rear just spins up and throws you into the wall but from Ramsey all the way to grand stand the bike just stick to the road even when you do lift off, apart from Craig-na-bar as you come out from the mountain. Was this filmed on pc?

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  6 років тому +2

      17.25min is not bad. I use the NACON controller with ABS set to med-high, no TCS, and anti-wheelie set to med for a fast lap. I personally dont care for the Suter. Feels a bit too plastic fantastic for my tastes. Prefere the Kawasaki, but all the bikes are twitchy around the TT, and the handling a bit fiddley

    • @swisstoni151
      @swisstoni151 6 років тому +1

      Online McGuinness666 Thanks mate I'll give your settings a try, I had traction and wheelie etc on full and reckon the traction on full definitely didn't help lap times. There's so many places on the lap where I'm lifting off the gas too much and need tons more practice for sure, I'll give Hicky's bike a go later and see how I do. Cheers 👍

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  6 років тому +2

      FYI I did actually do my fastest lap on James Hillier's Kawa. It has a bit of extra ummph, but feels slightly more slippery. Its the best choice anyway. Def remove TCS. It might not seem logical but to me it makes the game easier. You need to master the throttle, and remove TCS in order to slide the tires, and counteract the bike swaying on corner entry fast corners. Sorry cant really explain it. Try it you'll see

      I played from day one with helmet cam and no racing line. I've crashed on every single corner.
      My fastest crash-free lap is 17m21s. I crashed three times and got a 17m16s 🤔
      You have to nail this track, absolutely nail it. I have the speed to to a 16m time, but not the ability.

      @@BongoBaggins Hey you should be proud of your 17m21s OB lap, and im sure it gave you a great sence of accomplishment. I never come close to a 17min21s OB, or doing a clean lap. Game is just unreasonable hard, and I find the assists to help a bit on a bad situation

      Really? Dident realise this. I could tell by my laptime it might have been close, but I whould have to be a bit ahead whouldent I with the topspeed of the Norton. Im a little bit surprized though, because I wasent trying that hard. In fact im being as diciplined as posseble. Braking early everywhere. IDK if you noticed I barely touch the brakes at Ballacraine. It whould have been something whouldent it if I had put a Kawasaki on top? lol

      You're 12 seconds ahead at Rhencullen.
      I know what you mean. Your lap looks slower for some reason, but it's not.
      I used to watch your fast lap from TT: Superbikes on the TAS Suzuki.
      That was a good lap also.

      Good luck on getting to the top of the leader board.

    • @IIXIIXVXIIXII
      @IIXIIXVXIIXII  6 років тому

      12seks wow that is pretty significant. You whould think even on a Norton that whould be hard to wheel in. I might be behind the Suter's though. Someone just postet a 15.38min yesterday on a Suter so getting to the top on a Kawasaki might be a tall order? I whould think it whould be posseble, but I whould have to step it up, and start taking a lot more chances

      I dont think you want to be looking to me for advice on the bikes? I just dont play the bikes enough to be giving advice, and if I did it most likely be bad advice, as ppl undoubtetly whould let you it know. Had it been sidecars I might have been able to pass some advice, but I assume you to be on PS4? So have you found out about the full controller vibration? If not you should try it. Its a real simple fix, and it makes a ton of diffrence imo to the gameplay. All you do is go into career-mode. Press continue to the next race, and tap the X-button repetetly on the first loading-screen. You should then hear a sound, and that is. You then just back out of career, and you now have full vibration in all game-modes. Repete the proceedure everytime you load up the game. I can give you a link if you want to a video describing the hole thing

      OK this problem with vibration not working as intended is as far as I know only on PS4, so no need to worry. Xbox1X has excelent vibration, and even has feedback from the triggers as I understand it? Correct me if im vrong? You can try these settings, but you will need to adjust them to suit the controller you use. Medium ABS, no TCS, anti wheelie on medium, anti-stoppie off.25%acceleration,0%DZ,35%braking,0%DZ,50%Steering,5%DZ. This was before the patch though

      No not at all. I whould say you are doing pretty good if you only crash 3times after having done only 25L's. This track is long, and the hardest challenge there is in roadracing. IRL ppl spend a lifetime picking up the perfect lines, and its only because of the tools the game provides, and the amount of hrs ppl put into it, that some ppl are getting very good on the game
