    Recently I bought an AIYIMA A07 Pro, its function is the same as this Fosi audio, because it is Bluetooth 5.2 and with DC36V power adapter, it is more suitable for my equipment, and the sound quality is very good

    Great review, the Buchardt S400ii does scale up very well too. I think thats the advantage over others

      I have no doubts it does scale very well after reviewing the P300, thanks for the comment Kirk

    That is probably the same woofer that I use in my MLTL-6 mass loaded transmission line speakers. It is *very* well behaved up at the top. It has very low peaks in the breakup mode, which is also at a quite high frequency, so it is pushed well down, with the crossover rolling it off. The driver Fs is 35Hz, and the fundamental frequency of my speakers is ~32Hz.
    I absolutely *love* my AkitikA GT-104 amp and PR-102 preamp. The GT-104 is 60W/ch @ 4 ohms, and is incredibly punchy and dynamic - and world class soundstage and layering.

      Hey Neil, I've seen you discuss the GT-104 amp a couple times, sounds like its a great performer. I am going to check it out.

      @@MattCoykendall1 Right - it is a $425 kit, or about $625 factory assembled and tested. They are a US company - and the design has been evolving for decades. It is based on the upgrade for the Dynaco ST-120 amp. Dan Joffe is the designer, and despite its modest specs, it sounds incredibly good.

    Second video review of yours I’ve caught. The format of this one was on point. Love how you tried different amps at varying budgets, but also went into detail on each amp.

    Good review, glad to see someone with the courage to actually pair these truly SOA class D products with excellent speakers...however, at the end of the day regardless of the price of the individual components it is all about matching and synergy. The S300 are a relatively demanding load on an amplifier being 4 ohm 86db and it's 50w minimum recommendation proves it. It needs a high current amplifier and with it's 17 (8.5 amps per channel) amp current delivery capability , BT20A Pro is up to the task but not with 32V 5a 160VA supplied power supply. What you experienced, IMO, in the sound quality as you turned up the volume was the power supply running out of current (gas)--you needed a much more capable SMPS in the 400-600VA power rating range, like an excellent MeanWell unit. We have 2x Aiyima A07 (TI TPA3255 based amp) each powered by a 40V 16A (600Va) SMPS from MeanWell that is a total of 1.2KVA of power, bi-amping our speakers.
    Remember loudspeakers are current driven devices, the most important quality of a power supply in an amplifier is not its voltage but its current delivery capability with low impedance loads. So to really see what a TI TPA3255 based class d can do you need to supply it with a high current, high quality SMPS

      Hey Larry, a lot of good points here for anyone who wants to push these little class D amps further.

    P300 (1450€) vs KEF R3(1750€) for 2.0 ciname/music setup paired with Hypex NC252MP based amp??

    Terrific review! Would love to try out speakers from this brand. It would be interesting to compare the Yamaha s801 rather than the s501 since it does have a 200 watts per channel 4 ohm rating and is a little closer to the audiolab in price though still far less. And I own one!

    • @MattCoykendall1
      @MattCoykendall1  Рік тому +2

      I agree, the 801 would be the better pairing here, the 501 did fine but the P300's definitely scale well and appreciate power. I actually bought the 9000A as a personal purchase, but still plan to review it. I enjoyed the 6000A so much that I thought I needed to at least give it a try.

    What do you think would have the better sound out of the Audiolab A9000 and the Buchardt i150 when using them with the Buchardt S400 Mk2 speakers ?

    • @MattCoykendall1
      @MattCoykendall1  Рік тому

      That’s a really loaded question depending on your listening preferences and even your space. First consider the i150 was build with these speakers in mind so they were likely voiced together, the i150 also has dsp so if your room is difficult it may improve your response. The i150 integrates with subs easier as well, that being said the Audiolab 9000a has a fantastic amp section as well but will lack in areas such as dsp without additional hardware like minidsp. Consider connections as well if you live primarily in the digital Domain the i150 handles it all but if you need more analog options the 9000a might be for you. Price wise the Buchardt product comes in cheaper especially if you purchase the speakers along with it.

    Nearly $3000 for an amp and they can't center the balanced outputs within their own white box. At least it's on the back?

    Like all poor audiophiles, switching in and out dozens of times for better / bigger speakers. Skip the guessing game, ain't nothing beats Magnepan LRS+ for price performance.

    Hi Matt, nice review, your vids are great and it’s awesome that I’ve added another channel to my list of people that I actually want to watch every one of your reviews, so thanks for that! Ok, ass kissing aside, ha, do you plan on comparing these to the CSS’s? I’m pretty sure the critons will be my next speaker purchase. I know they’re a great deal and I don’t mind taking on a project to get them assembled, and I live pretty close to their office so I’d also be supporting a local business. The icing on the cake would be hearing that they stack up against these, or even beat them maybe? Ok thx again and keep up the great work!!!

    • @MattCoykendall1
      @MattCoykendall1  Рік тому +1

      Hey Brian, the Critons have reviewed well but unfortunately I do not have a pair on hand. I currently only have the CSS Torii that I have a build series on. I can tell you in my experience the kits CSS produces are a fun build.

    Did you try the fosi with their own 48v power supply? Puts out nearly 200 watts continuous per channel and lots of low end power as well with the 48v power supply as tested by audiosciencereview.

    • @MattCoykendall1
      @MattCoykendall1  Рік тому +1

      No not yet, I need to get one in, I do have their new V3 amp coming with the 48v though.
