Chinese have started flooding the market with cheap electric cars...this is a perfect example of what cheap gets you. Plus my experience is even the genuine service parts are patchy to get quickly.
Dont blame the technology, there is less to go wrong on an EV. This is just a problem with build quality. If the battery has a better seal from the factory this would never happen.
@@intelligentauto737 There is less mechanical to go wrong but vastly more electronics to go wrong. Having worked in electronics for my entire career and done very well out of it. I'm sure EV electronics failures will give you lots of gainful employment. Enjoy.
Hi Im hoping you can help me I have the same vehicle it has got a P1B41 hv battery isolation fault and also p1b07 hv battery fault it was a flood damage vehicle I read on a mg forum that the hvmodule has to be replaced in battery pack not sure which unit that is?if you could help me I would be grateful Also your location details. I have to say after stripping several batteries from European vehicles this felt cheap in its construction
Battery seals are going to be a disaster in places they use corrosive ice melt on the roads.
How are you supposed to buy a second-hand EV with hidden issues like this.
A petrol or diesel car could also have hidden issues.
That’s the chance you take with any used vehicle

Perhaps the EV fans that say an EV is so simple there is nothing to go wrong should have a look at this.

In Holland it's not allowed to expose an open battery without a safety barrier placed around it
This was filmed on Sunday whit only myself present, the lid is back on the battery for now until it’s going to be stripped.
P.S. I’m not in Holland
