Right that was so stupid of the mother to tell your own daughter to shut up after proving that the man that she claimed to love was being abusive to her daughter. If my daughter tells me that one of my family members or Friends abused her, rape her or molested her I would absolutely believe my kids and I'll put a recording video on my camera phone to see it.

The thing about Havana’s situation, while Steve was right that there can be to sides on the situation because one believed the other party consented while further into the sexual encounter the other party didn’t.
The issue point blank that turned it into rape was the fact that when you loss consciousness, without talking about the possibility, it becomes rape because the person is no longer able to consent to the things happening to them. That’s why stop means stop during any point in a sexual encounter because someone is no longer consenting.

Trigger Warning ( I talk a lot about what being raped does to a person, so if anyone reading this has gone through a trauma and you can’t read it or read to the end that is okay. I just want to let you know that it’s not your fault, you are surviving, you are not alone and you are believed by someone out there even if you don’t know the person. For those who don’t know, judge someone about being raped or want to understand a little bit more about what rape survivors have gone through [so you can become educated and stand with them in support] I have listed a lot of things that a rape survivor has most likely experienced [keep in mind that everybody is different, meaning that everyone’s experience after rape will look a little different]):
Yes, she took drugs, got drunk, took off her clothes, got into bed and said yes to sex while she was awake. But the second someone falls asleep, or passes out, that’s when any good person would stop. A person that’s passed out can’t say “ slow down”, “stop”, “no”, or anything signaling that they want to stop having sex or do something different sexually; they can’t use body language signaling to the person or people that they don’t want to have sex anymore or want things to go in a different direction sexually. They can’t speak and stand up for themselves when their unconscious. Her “friend” knew that she was no longer awake to speak for herself, and thought that because Havana had said yes before that it meant that it was okay. Someone saying yes once doesn’t mean yes every time, and it doesn’t mean keep going when they pass out or fall asleep. I wouldn’t wish rape on anyone and their families. I feel peace for people who haven’t been raped, because they never have to experience what the survivors do. It destroys a person for a long time… sleepless nights, nightmares (sometimes leaving a person waking up in a puddle of sweat), panic and anxiety attacks, reoccurring accidents in children, being so disturbed that it leaves you shaking and even violently ill, isolating yourself from those around you, losing relationships with people (rape changes a person, resulting in their ability to connect with others), not being able to recognize yourself anymore (it changes you physically, mentally and emotionally), your mind racing (a mile a minute as if your mind and flashbacks[mentioned] will never stop or quiet down), suicide attempts, constantly looking over your shoulders, not being able to eat or drink anything for days even weeks or months, trust issues, guilt and self blame (“only if I didn’t do this, or be nice to people this wouldn’t have happened to me”), not being able to go anywhere without fear, flashbacks (to the day or night it happened), having to change their routine and products or foods/drinks that they consume (because certain smells, textures, objects are a reminder of the day they were raped), judgement, not getting believed for months or even years after the rape occurs (“oh so and so is a good guy, everybody loves him, he would never do that”), getting pregnant from the rape (loving the child regardless of how they were made, but one day the child finds out they are a product of rape, and that can wreck anyone especially that child), finding out that they have an STD that they possibly will have to live with for the rest of their life, going to doctors for exams and rape kits (which is a long, painful, and very personal experience, that consists of taking pictures of any bruises, bites, etc. Swabbing every inch of the body both inside and out that the rapist may have touched, collecting physical evidence such as hair and clothing); and going to police/judges/ CPS or any form of law enforcement and reliving over and over again every detail of what happened to them, in some cases sitting in the same room as their rapist, evidence being put up on screens or being brought out in front of a room full of people that get to determine if the rapist will walk free or be locked up. It is true that some people cry/scream rape simply because they regret something that they did, but not everyone is lying about being raped; and it’s because of people that lie about being raped that those who were raped don’t always get believed. People lose years of their lives after being raped, and no it’s not because they want it to or their letting it get to them, it’s because rape takes a toll on every part of the body; which can be hard to understand by someone that may not have gone through it. Saying no, maybe, being nice to people, hugging, kissing, flirting with someone; doesn’t mean yes.

If I may be honest, this happens too much for women not to know better or make better decisions. I don’t see a victim, I see two grown consenting adults who don’t know their limits that over did it one night and things got out of hand.
