As soon as she said she was 'looking up how to bond with her child.' That told me several things right away, she had no example to look to growing up. And that she really genuinely wants to be a better mother than her own, I hope she does great in life.

She used to take my phone he bought me and tease me for it until I called him and told him they would argue and she would give it right back it was a continuous cycle. She would give me the "silent treatment" for days then start talking to me again outta nowhere. He was only my "stepfather" and they only dated for a good 2 years only a few months of those years was good after that nothing but arguments. I don’t think the freezer part is bad. If it was just the freezer. I’m black and from the south and one thing we didn’t do was go in big mas big freezer. I actually put out a certain amount snacks for my son in his own cabinet. If I left everything out we’d be broke. Lol he can eat a box of gushers in one sitting.

This case hits me hard. Cause I was faced with the same thing. Being raped by a family friend when I tell the truth after mustering up the strength and courage I get asked the most demeaning questions ever. This one hits hard.

If you can't afford enough food for your 5 children to be able to eat comfortably, DON'T KEEP ALL 5 KIDS! Give some of them up for adoption. It's one thing when you're not able to give all the kids a lot of toys, or their own bedroom but food is a basic necessity. FFS this is the kind of behavior that leads to kids hoarding food in their rooms because they don't trust you to feed them enough.

I was molested a few times by my Mother's Stepfather in the 80's and then again in 1993 the day of my Father's funeral, I was 14. I told my Mother at the time it happened after burying my Dad, she laughed, then looked at me and said 'no he didn't, rolled her eyes' and then scoffed. She knew he was inappropriate with me. I am 45 now and despise her so much. I refuse to see or speak to her and keep my kids well away from her.

I’m so tired of parents (especially abusive parents) that tell their kids to get over it and it happened a long time ago. That’s the equivalent of hitting someone with a car and causing a permanent injury and not paying for the hospital bills or making any sort of amends for it.
My husbands father never used to buy food. He would always say oh theres food in the house and sure there was. Canned foods like corn, no nutrition, usually expired. He was never home and I remember one day his bank statement came in and my husbands brother snuck it and looked. Their father was literally eating out at mcdonalds and chinese food spending up to 40 dollars A DAY. Food that mind you, he never brought home. He was spending all the money on himself and his youngest child (hes not to blame of course he was a victim as much as the other children, he was to young to even understand). When he was questioned about it he acted shocked and like he didnt realize he had done that. And then continued to do it and act like he was clueless. My grandmother would often buy them upwards 200 dollars of groceries and I'd stay with them every weekend and help them with the food. We would have to argue with their father because OF COURSE, he would help himself to literally all the best, expensive meats, whole packages of 5lbs sometimes. He would just take it and use it for a bbq with friends or take it on a camping trip or trip to an amusement park. Super messed up. Hes the kind of man who has actively admitted hes mentally I'll but refuses to get help because it doesnt benefit him, it just benefits everyone else far as hes concerned. It was always " I know I was a bad dad, BUT MY DADDY WAS BAD TOO" . He was and still is a pathetic excuse for a father. I wont even let him around his own grandson because I just don't trust him.

I was 9 and my sister was 10 when my mother’s second husband started assaulting us. I was first. My mom was in a neighboring town because her brother was in a coma. He was drunk and wouldn’t get his hands off of me. I was able to get free so I grab my baby sister and went to the neighbors and called the cops. It was a very small town so my bio dad and a few cops packed him and his crap took him out of the city and beat the shit out of him. Mom cried for days. Not for me or what I went through. She cried for him. She made it clear he was the love of her life. 10 days later I was taken out of class by my mother and a counselor. She wanted to make me admit that he didn’t try to rape me he thought I was her because he was drunk. I’m 9 and she weighed 300 pounds. I just sat there. She informed me that my dad was in Texas so he couldn’t hurt her husband so me and her were going to travel 4 hours away to pick him up and I was going to apologize to him for getting him beat up for nothing. From the moment I saw him I saw the satisfaction in his face. She would always choose him. 2 weeks later I woke up because I could hear my 10 year old sister crying. I peaked around the corner and saw him forcing her to perform oral sex on him. I snuck in my moms room and woke my mom up. I told her to be very quiet because there was some kind of animal in the living room. I told her I thought it was a raccoon. She noticed her husband was gone and I said he left to go pick up a car because he was a tow truck driver. We slowly made our way to the living room and there they were. Even at 9 years old I understood that she would never believe us unless she saw it for herself. She slapped me and said that I was cruel. He was the love of her life. I told her the only thing he loved about her was that she had 3 girls and she believed anything he said.
She called her sister and I called my dad. He was here the next day. Mom was her own special kind of narcissists. She cried about how could I make her see that. I asked my aunt how could she not care about us and only think about losing him. This sentence has haunted my dreams for 40 years. Her response was “no one should be made to choose between her lover or her child. I knew in that moment she would never give him up so I called every uncle, male cousin, grandfathers, cops, school, suicide hotline. I got to a counselor that helped me and my sisters. My mom was arrested so was her pervert. The counselor that helped force me to go pick the pervert up and say I made a mistake was fired. I told anyone who would listen. She bonded out after 5 days under the rules that if she wanted to live in the house she had to sever all ties with him or us girls would file child endangerment charges on her. He bonded after 2 weeks and he disappeared. We know he went back to Chicago and we also found out that he had served time for assault on 3 other little girls one being his own 2 year old daughter. Mom was forced into mandatory counseling and was made clear that the house belong to us girls and she would have to prove she would not move any man into the home without our say and background checks. I was and still am resentful. My sister is a complete mental case. We never really trusted her after that. When I had my children thing changed for me. I couldn’t look at her. I couldn’t stop
Hating her. I loved my kids over anyone so I couldn’t understand how a mother could cause so much pain over a complete waste of a human. I moved away from my little town. I didn’t want my kids to ever depend on her. After about 3 years of leaving my aunt called me to ask why I couldn’t forgive her. I said a child shouldn’t be forced to choose between her mothers perverted husband our not being raped. I hung up and the only time I step foot in that town was for her funeral. I don’t regret leaving. My children lived good lives. Not one time did I choose my happiness over theirs. I always have them a voice to advocate for themselves so that no one could do anything against their will. My children are exceptional adults and I have 6 amazing grandchildren. I will never be free from my pass but I’m took control over my life, my choices, and my chosen family. A child is supposed to have a mother that would sacrifice her life for them not sacrifice them for her happiness.
