Like someone already mention, the ROC used to push out a box of gems. But, people were getting pirated as they were mining and didn't know. So, we have what we do now as a result.
ROC need a rework. Not just mining and selling part. The whole physis needs it too. It drives very bad, like those big tires do nothing off road. And it don't sit incargo grid well. But knowing CIG they properly will make another ship.
@zirHazeGaming even the hangar floor is a pain. Just driving it off the pad involved unclipping the wheels out of the floor, just to "jump?" the border line between the floor of the hangar that drops and the edge where the hologram line shows up.
Boxes of Hadenite, Dolvine, etc already exist in 1/8scu form: you find them in lockers (confidential materials bunker missions), and at wrecks. To resolve this sorta thing with the ROC, there could be empty boxes available, and as you fill the ROC up you remove the installed box and replace it with an empty one. Might need a bit of switching around to keep the specific materials separate, but it would physicalise ROC mining. This might have already been in the works for years, hence the existance of the gem boxes in 1/8scu size.
It used to poop a little 1/8 scu box out when it was full. If they bring that back, the Mule is gonna be a meta transporter of gems from ROC's to ships or outposts
Playing 3.23, had a good start a few stables fairly stable (or as stable as possible), but lately the ship exploded out of nowhere in the middle of space with all cargo, lost all armor and items too, tried another day to recover and contracts didn't work and when they did ATC assigned an "undefined hangar", managed to get in anyway and picked up the package, arriving at the elevator, the character just fell through the floor. The game is really cool and probably the best experience to be had flying ships compared to other games but when things go wrong it really feels off, would be good if they spent some time getting it a bit more stable (fix clipping, fix pressing buttons and managing inventory and nothing happening).
Yea, that’s what everyone has been asking for. More stability. Because yea, all these cool features are nice but not worth it if we can’t enjoy them in a proper way.
Technically the roc's storage can already be removed (in 3rd person) but atm that is useless. It *may* however be a step towards this goal, of having removable roc hoppers.
Haha, I love this "Goldfish memory" way that players play SC. Whatever the next thing SC promotes needs to be played. Perpetualy move on. Store Citizen. Seriously though ROC mining is frigging awesome.
It should literally have a hopper just like the vulture does only the boxes would be smaller
I 100% agree!!!
On the live PU version that dropped today it wasn't letting you sell from backpack or main station inventory. Can't currently sell at all.
Ohhh wow.. so it’s broken again 🫤
Those pirate in the armistice zone is just pure troll. I can't see any reason behind it at all. Also CIG obsession with elevator
They are always there!!! No point at all. I agree!
i remember way back, the roc used to make boxes or have a removable box.. There was a box involved in transferring the gems to your ship.
They need to turn that back on lol

Ohhh yea! The standard GreyCat ROC wheels don’t interact well with ships. Always clipping!
wonder if they're do the ROC DS as well cause that thing is useless

This is what physical cargo looks like. Gems to SCU box. Box to Freight elevator = Sale. This was working just fine
Yea, but don’t think it’s working as it should right now.

This is a great callout! I really hope that you are right 🙌🏽
So much space for activities!
Yussss!!!!
I wonder if it would work with the ship in the end, if minerals were just laying on the floor in the cargo hatch of C1 instead of external storage?
Mmmm that could work, but not the way to go 😅
100% without a removable storage box the roc is going to suck to use, and I love roc mining so I hope it gets fixed

Woahh that must’ve been before I joined!
@CallMeTeach2 yah I think I remember this was before I really get I to roc mining I hope it comes back
@@MrBucky769 it was great, and it would make so much sense to bring it back.
@@CallMeTeach2 dude if they turn mule's back upside down like a normal truck bed should. It would be meta.

Lots of effort here. Thank you 👍
No problem 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Thanks for testing, but how about putting them into a 1 SCU container
Sorry I penned my response before completing the video
No worries! Yea, si tried everything lol
Christ, what a mess this is..
Yeap! ROC mining is in a bad state atm
Wasnt aware anyone still ROC mines these days
Yeap, you will find me out there 😂

As a fighter pilot, I really like how ROC mining is in 3.24. I think it’s a step in the right direction.
"as a teetotaler, I really love how they've removed the ability for others to drink" vibe.
@@Stonehawk As a fighter pilot it’s good to see them implement master modes for roc mining, cargo loading, and gear storage.
😂😂😂
yikes 3.24 is still a mess
Called pTu for a reason
Yea, it’s the PTU but still good to bring it up.
@@hollywoodguy70 yeah so its no longer PTU and its even more broken now. Your theory is not holding water.
i doubt there gonna do anything for a while. Roc mining, even though i love it, is dead
Sad truth 🫤
the entire game needs a rework, never playing the game again until they make movement skill based and fun again. killed racing and pvp for me
Everything needs a rework 😂
