Thanks mate, unfortunately looks like it's only available at the distillery or online, and taxes shipping into Australia are extremely expensive for alcohol 😥
I tried all the sample bottles and the 18 was good and to be honest the cask strength batches are worth getting on special but I'm not so keen on the rest. Older bottles I've heard are really good but your paying a premium price. Cheers mate!!
Yeah I will be reviewing the 18 soon! Same thing I am hearing, the older bottles are where Glengoyne really shines, but they are getting really expensive compared to others in the market. Thanks for taking the time to comment 😁🥃
Thanks again Wade sounds like a similar glenfiddich experience. I might look at sample bottles to get access to more whisky I wouldn't necessarily buy in a bottle
Yeah, the samples that give you a couple of drams are great before committing to a full bottle. 200ml bottles are ideal IMO. Thanks for checking it out Wayne 😊
Sounds decent. But I can only afford maybe 6 bottles a year? For that reason I think I'll be going safe and adding Arran 10, or Glencadam 10 to go with my current peaty line up (Ardbeg Uigeadail, Springbank 10, Ledaig 10, Port Charlotte 10 and Ledaig 18) P.s. any non peaty ones you'd recommend I add to my collection?
Your peaty lineup sounds fantastic! Yeah I would go the Glencadam 10 or an Arran over this any day of the week - Similar price, but far better ABV + NCF & NC on the Glencadam and Arran 👌
@@McIntyresMalts thank you my friend! That's great. With your approval I'm getting one of those ha ha. I do need a gentle fruity one, as all this peat can get a bit too much sometimes
@@McIntyresMalts what I started doing is getting miniature bottles. Because I can't afford to get every whisky on my wish list! I have about 25 on that list! So last month I picked up: bunnahabhain 18, Springbank 15, Laphroaig Quarter Cask, Glenallachie 15 I do like them. The one that I really liked was the Laphroaig surprisingly... I wasn't crazy about the bunnahabhain, and I did like the deep wood and fruit of the Springbank..Glenallachie decent too but need to try it again I think maybe I'm just a peaty / islay / Island kind of guy.. But I think something refreshing like an Arran which I've tried before, will balance things out nicely Here they are £38 which is about 70 Aus dollars
Definitely an easy sipper that is not too challenging yet not boring. Nice review.
Thanks Peter, yeah you nailed my friend 😉
About Glengoyne, if you can get your hands on The Teapot Dram....grab it...a bit priced...but quite fantastic🥂cheers

A very pleasant easy-drinker. Cheers Wade.
Thanks Big Al! good to see you making some new videos again too!
@@McIntyresMalts Cheers mate. Been a tough few weeks, but it's great to back in the groove. More coming very soon.
Will you be reviewing the 18? That one is really pricey in the US. 😬
I am, yes! On its way soon 😉
Indeed the 18 here in Australia is very expensive too, about $250
I am trying this for the first time right now, I am really enjoying it.
That’s great to hear! Glad you are enjoying it Jay 🥃
Nice review! I also enjoyed it. Makes me want to pick up the new 15. Cheers!
There is a 15 year old now?! I need to check that out. Next video I am releasing is the Glengoyne 18
@@McIntyresMalts I was interested in that one as well! Looking forward to it! Cheers!

@@Valera_Scotland Good price for an Arran, the 10 year old in AUS is $100. I picked up a bottle of the Arran Sherry Cask yesterday for $120
Another term for the 'legs' on the glass is 'the breath of the goalkeeper'.
I’d never heard that before, I like it!
