Cool list, it's obvious Keith's giving props to singers that usually don't get recognition for their unique vocal style. In the past he has praised all the other singers mentioned in the comments below. As for your accent you're doing just fine, most people don't even attempt to speak a second language. The Stones love C&W music and imo are the best C&W band there is , and Keith is picking his fav off the top of his head because like most of us we have 200 of are own top 20 singers , like name the best singer of all time , i can name 50 of the best of all time and picking all time greats is a personal thing , it is all on how they move you , having an amazing voice does not make you an amazing singer

I'm surprised there weren't more of his contemporaries on the list. I'd have thought he'd pick Lennon or Mccartney or Rod Stewart or his main man Mick Jagger over George freaking Jones.

How is he a better singer deserving to be on the list than say Steve Winwood or Eric Burdon? Where is Etta James? Or Gladys Knight? Where is Terry Reid or Steve Marriott? Again just my opinion and my list.

Ridiculous list that leaves in evidence his bad taste. Elvis below Parsons or below Muddy Waters or Buddy Holly, when Holly is a result of Elvis stardom. Elvis is the best vocalist than Aretha. better than James Brown , whom should be in this short list. Elvis is the best singer for me, Number 1 doubtless. Reagge and Parsons buddies doesnt owe appear in the 20 best singers of modern rock music. Dylan is better vocalist than Parsons. Lennon and Mc Carney should be in that list. Of course I think also lack Mick, Plant, Janis and Morrison. Also BB King, John lee Hooker,Jerry lee, Domino, Howling Wolf and Hank Williams.
He really loves a few specific eras of music and he tends to praise them all the time from all the interviews I read and saw over the years. It's really his frame of what he thinks what good music is. But I agree, there are many better musicians to put there.

This is another dumb list. It's calculated to be ultra-cool. He purposely ignores his own great contemporaries while substituting as many soul singers as possible. Several would make almost anyone's list as well. How are Mercury, McCartney, Allison Krauss, Linda Ronstadt and Robert Plant not there? Too obvious, therefore, not cool enough. Graham Parsons is my favorite silly choice. If he hadn't died young, no way he's there.
