@@cloudcolubrids4603 I'm right there with you. I've wanted corn snakes for years but only recently got into them. Breeder mice and all! Had my first litter of feeder mice today.
@@menialgamer9757 yeah cornsnakes are great theres so many varieties/morphs and they are calm snakes. I always recommend cornsnakes for a beginner. My mice started breeding a few months ago now i have 3 bins of mice breeding. I get a nicr amount of pinkies so it helps alot. I want to get 1 more mouse bin and start another group.
you prolly dont care but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Colson Ayden thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@@cloudcolubrids4603 No problem! it's hard finding videos on colubrids! Can you feed all the snakes live because i am thinking about getting colubrids like cal kings, mbks, hogs, and milks and want to know can you feed them live?
great video, the only thing i would add is, to introduce a new male from the lineage with the female's. In my breeding setup almost all males are feeders unless i like a color pattern from them. you don't want interbreeding too much.
just for anyone using this for pet mice this is only suitable specifically for feeding mice please do proper research for pet mice as they do need alot more than this ❤❤❤❤
Hello sir nice video...i am also a mice breeder here in the Philippines together with my brother... I also have my videos of my breeding grounds... God bless... Already parked here
Haven’t been able to watch for a while. This was very helpful as I’m getting into breeding mice and snakes after I move. Your snakes are beautiful as always! Question: did you pair the baby Mouse with his sisters?
Great that this helped. Yes many times when you buy 1 mouse from one place and another from another spot to breed for some reason one kills the other. Not always. Many mice breeders just hokd back females and pair them to their brothers or fathers a d vise verse. It sounds strange but thats the norm in mice breeding.
I have to admit to giggling when you were trying to find a PG way of explaining the “boy bulge” for identifying males from females. Nice and wholesome but still had me giggling. I’m having trouble euthanizing the male mice from my 2 adults. I have 5 males and 3 females that are breeding age and a litter of 6 babies that are about 10 days old that I haven’t sexed yet. I’m afraid I’ll have more boys than girls again and I’m already worried about the 5 boys I have. Quick back story: I got my first snake for my birthday in March of this year (2022) from an acquaintance who was having trouble feeding him because he only ate live and she has pet rats. My hubby took me to get him and then we went straight to the pet store to get one live feeder and a few frozen thaws. When it came to the first feed, he took the frozen mouse without a problem, and my kids (and I honestly) had grown fond of “Stuart Little” so we decided to get him a friend. Well that friend turned out to be a female (admittedly I didn’t do my research on how to tell one from another at that point) and we ended up with 6 babies, 4 boys and 2 girls. Then I made the mistake of not separating them soon enough and my original female fell pregnant again, had another 6 babies and I am too softhearted to cull any of them. Any advice or tips on my situation would be welcome and I’d be very grateful for it. My only option I can figure is to try to give them away or sell them. If you have any other ideas, I’d love to hear them.
nice of you to share this story and I'm happy your new snake is taking frozen. I have 1 that only eats live I just throw it in and walk away I don't like watching. I have 6 breeder bins for mice..each has 1 male and 3 females. as babies males can stay together but once adults they will.fight so you want 1 male with a female or a small group of females. it seems it's not a great idea for you to breed mice to feed them cause you enjoy them so much. I would just pick the mouse you like the most keep that one and sell the rest. mice are always in demand.
I’ve been thinking about starting some rodent bins and this video was a great help. Which bin was this I saw they have 2 different sizes on the website.
These are the rat lab bins i use. They have the mice bin and the rat bin....the rat bin provides the space i need for larger colonies of mice vs the small mouse bin that can only fit about 2--3 mice
Is the male and female from the same litter? Breeding siblings is not a good idea. Get another male and some more females. Then you have different mice to use for breeding to keep your bloodline strong and give your females a break from breeding. Don't wear out good breeders.
Good advice. I'm not sure since I bought a group from a reptile store and they have been breeding ok. I wasn't aware of any issues breeding siblings in rodents but I'll look into it
Best thing is breeding your own mice to feed your snakes and other predatory pets you're keeping
Great video mate

Best not to remove the babies until 28 -32 days old from female mother until four weeks old
oh really?
Can you not say testicles in a video?
you can say whatever you like along as your no sponsored by a company or setting your videos appropriate for kids.
Dope. Just got some mice to breed myself. @black.snow.reptiles
cook nothing enjoyable about it but it's needed if your going to breed or at least helps alot
