I love your enthusiasm . You seem to be as pleased for the customer getting fixed up , as you are selling the car . I find your show very informative .
I really do think anyone within striking distance of your pitch, looking for an economy priced car should make s beeline for for you because I dont believe many dealers selling in your price range are prepping to your standard. You definitely deserve to live long and prosper !!
I understand that space is at a premium. However layout of the pitch and presentation of the pitch and car , plays a bigger factor than you would think. When you are looking at purchasing a vehicle
I hope it works out for you, but employees are expensive plus you have to provide the materials, make sure you give a comprehensive job description, good luck, you seem a decent man.
Lee, do not knock yourself as you have done very well. Great work done and more to be done, and keep up what you are doing, moving Metal, and turning Cash !🌞
My mate has 40 cars Employs someone who’s got a addiction of the Colombian variety That’s the last thing ya need selling cheap motors a Bleedin baghead knocking around
Wise idea to get a valeter in. All that outsourced labour can now be kept in the house, and you get the bonus of another pair of hands to help you. Well done, Lee, for getting this well established so quickly. It's always a good watch, and it's interesting to see how things have gone on the pitch (and a wander round the auctions!). Keep up the good work, fella, and continued success. 🚗
If you ever need someone for weekend work I can always be available as and when I work in the salvage industry and would love to see how a car dealership works etc and with sales
The 1st comment really struck a cord with me, coming from someone who has traded in this price range of cars in the past, and who tried his very best to cover all the bases..... Well, I wasn't as good or as conscientious at it as you..hats 2u Buddy.
Enjoying the videos. Looking forward to the next auction. I've never bought from a dealer before but seeing how thorough you are getting the cars right I definately would next time.
Tell you something mate if you have sold out Just goes to show you are a reputable garage🎉 Will tell you something mate if I ever win the bloody lottery I would send you to the options to buy me a Range Rover😊 Respect mate
Nice to see a video where it is not raining! Your cars seem very reasonably priced I must say. There are very well prepared too. I am sure the Insignia owner knew it was time to get shut !!
Glad it’s rocking along nicely Lee. I’m amazed the Roomster sat around as long as it did - We knew it would go though “Never in doubt” Love the channel mate !
I tell you what would be great to see Lee, offer an apprenticeship to a 16-18 year old subscriber to the channel, and then for us, the viewers, to see that apprentice grow as the channel grows over the years In other words, don't advertise the position in the job centre or through the normal route, but advertise it through the channel
Surprised the Roomster hung around, they are great little cars, as has been said the shape is not to everyone's liking but they are after all a Fabia which is one of the best small cars around.
Really enjoy your videos, the content, day to day life and passion is supreme! No clickbait - I was a fan of Chops Garage but you are now the Man! 🙏👍👏💪
Hi Lee just noticed you have over 50 k subscribers 😉 congratulations on that . Loving to look of that focus Titanium lovely blue colour great cars these.
Great news for your business lee - looking at your prices they are well reasonable - I have a local garage near me that would probably ask twice what you do I don't know how he sells anything but he must do - keep up the great work!!
Good call Lee keep building the team , time saved alone not having to arrange the outsourced valet’s will be a saving in itself 👍 great no nonsense factual vids are great cheers
Hi Lee , As you say ,, Got to make sure,, The customers first car ,, Everything has got to be SPOT ON, Insignia, what a nail ,, I had a top of the range one the same age as the px one ,, It was never out of the garage , Cost me a fortune ,, kept going into limp mode ,, it had been in different Vauxhall specialists ,, What a pile of Do Dah 💩 , Great news on the sales ,, and the expansion of your business ,, Keep em coming 👍
Cheers Lee what a weekend brilliant getting another pair of hand to valet sounds good like ya say he can keep right on top of um keeping them spotless cos I reckon it dose effect sales now and again have a top week Lee nice one 🙂🔧🎥✌️
Brilliant decision, especially when you consider that if given the option when available to take on more tasks and help out around the garage will benefit everybody. You can even teach him how to sell cars and learn the buying procedure and what to look for. You have done well in your new venture and hopefully now be able to turn stock around and prep stuff a little quicker. Brilliant genuine garage that wants to help the public. well done again.
I borrowed a 1.4 punto when my head gasket went. Had to do 200 mile round trip and stayed over a few days. Iwas gob smacked what a cracking car it was. Comfy, energetic and although 2006 model high mileage ran like a dream
A great update as usual Lee. First off, I'm really pleased you sold the Punto Grande which you kindly let me view first, and my reason for not proceeding wasn't the car itself. I decided the least painful move financially would be to get my current car sorted out which needs a clutch (and is still low miles at 66,000), and it's away having that done as I speak. That said, nothing would have pleased me more than doing business with you, and I won't be ruling that out in the future. All the best, and keep up the great content you give us!
Thanks david, for what its worth I think you have made the right call sticking with the clio. Looked a nice car and sometimes its better the devil you know 👍
Yet another "Car Pitch" masterclass Lee...👏🏻👏🏻 Superb seeing your selling streak continue Lee and so refreshing to see you happy making your customers happy by making all the cars as good as they can be when they buy them...May your success continue for a very long time Lee m8...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lee I love your videos but feel worn out after just watching them!! Really like your set up,target market and service you give.If I needed a run around I would deffo buy one from you mate ...brilliant
Good decision on a valeter/ general body. Those 6 hours hiu spend a week on a valleting could be 6 hours getting a car fixed ready for sale. Also ring around to local dealers get them to come to your valeter guy a day a week pays towards his wage.
How about you get someone who’s retired and needs something to keep them busy . If I were local I would love to help with anything. I’m sure there are people like me who would give some of there time to help you all for just a drink👍
I get that & it’s a lovely idea, but if I was Lee, I’d be concerned about not having predictable assistance. I always think it’s better to have no one in role than the wrong person in role. Saying that, attitude and straightforwardness is massive. A good & helpful orientation, who can roll with it a bit, is a huge plus. Semi volunteer, I don’t know. I’m thinking of my own circumstances. I’m a good person, but I would no longer be quite as reliable, there when I’m needed sort of thing, as I used to be. The odd medical issue as happens when you’re knocking on. In the end, either way, I do think you can tell quite quickly if the candidate has a good chance of working out.
Some great decisions today, the valeter and auctioning the Insignia are the right move in my opinion. Nice to see the Skoda finally get a home, bloody good car that.
Great decision to take on a valeter, once he's done all the cars if a customer calls for a viewing he can be checking it's spotless, you could have him checking the tyre pressures, oil and water etc,,
Get your new valeter to polish the Insignia and bung it through auction - better than lumbering a useful trade contact with a POS. Will he be working out front, eg under a gazebo, so he can keep an eye out for punters? Great that you've got help, especially financially justified, better than going pop with stress or rushing and making mistakes.
That insignia would be a money box. Mine just traded on 84k 2014 got 2300. I was aware of the clutch around 100k being dead so knew it would be a grand to get it changed then there is a cam belt water pump at same mileage another 300 and that’s hoping no other issues occur like dpf etc
The Roomster may be hampered by a stupid name? Three cylinder diesels can be terrific. Polos of 2016 had them & my daughters car has been truly excellent on fuel, surprisingly spritely too. It’s got an odd rhythm when you pull away, but it’s willing. Wonder if it’s the same engine as in that Skoda? I’d have it if I was in the market for a cheapie. Nice first car.
I had an early 09 Insignia 1.8 Petrol - never bonded with it but it liked a drink eventually began to burn oil and had that infernal bloody rear brake squeal ...........
Had it over 4 years and its lovely john 😂 on serious point I am doing a video on it soon. reviewing the model and going in more depth about ownership etc
Good valeter will be a great help with basic mechanical and picking cars up too. Question for you though Lee... Massively busy and I know you love going to the auctions, same as me, but do you not think its time for online? Pretty much all mine are bought online through BCA and the proxy bids allow me to replenish stock even when I'm busy or don't fancy spending a good half a day if not more at auction. I'm very limited resources and time so it works best for me and haven't had too many bad ones, plenty of very good buys!
@carukchannel Brilliant video Lee! I have a question. In your opinion, when will the price of used small autos come back down to earth? I’ve been looking for the past year for something a small automatic 7-10 year old Kia or Toyota with around 50-60k miles on it but the prices just seem ridiculous and difficult to justify for a vehicle of that age.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the value of the near end of life vehicles stayed very strong indeed. Why? Well, look at new car prices. They’ve gone completely bonkers in the last few years. I can’t believe what value, comparatively, we were seeing just 5-6 years ago. I remember picking up a nearly new 6k miles, 16 plate Polo from a VW main dealer for a hair over £10K. If you look now at year old Polos, they’re mid teens, mad. However, they still look cheap relative to the more expensive models and especially against EVs. Electric Fiat 500 is, I understand, close to £30K for goodness sake. Who pays that, for such a compromised vehicle? I’d take my daughters 8 year old Polo, any day of the week. It’ll go way further on a tank of diesel than I can drive in a day. I think it’ll do 50-60 mpg. I could do a round trip to my sister on the south coast, 300+ miles, and give no thought to refuelling for a couple of weeks on my routine, local journeys. Folding rear seats, hatchback, can even Bluetooth my phone, nice dash and comfortable seats, it even looks good. So a car like that, if in good order, just isn’t going to come down in price, imo. On the plus side, I would see it somewhat of as an investment. In the sense that, if you have a pay full value in this distorted market, you’ll have some residual value in it, even after another couple of years of driving it. The alternatives, to get into a more expensive class of car, is just such a lot of money, very noticeable for someone on a budget. Either it’s eating into your capital reserves or you’re into financing it & you don’t want to be there. Good luck in your hunt!

Hi Lee. 👋 I wish I was still in London because I would be brilliant at working with you, bro. Anyway, I really like that light blue Ford Ka. It's very clean. God, you have been very busy. You will need to find more stock at the auction, lol. You could sell sand to the Arab's Lee 😅. So I can't wait for an auction video to come. Great video again, as always 👍. So chat with you during the week. Stay safe and healthy. 😅🇨🇮 👋🖖👋
Li, good call about having your own valeter. its a cost neutral decision with benefits + an extra set of eyes ears and hands. having a specialist person doing each function gives you the opportunity to jump in as an extra if you're needed/want to. £500 for a clutch on a mass market stock car? that's horrifying! maybe it needs to trundle off to the auction with that micro New York taxi cab.
A friend worked at a place that sold more expensive cars. He said that any car with a tow bar got it taken off before being advertised as it would sell far easier. People see a tow bar an assume it has been used to tow a large caravan thousands of miles.
hi mate, im happy to buy that vauxhall insignia, I am in the trade myself, I can send someone to collect that as soon as its suitable for you. If interest please let me know. Thanks
Great video as always, should have sold the lady with the suitcase that yellow Fiat 500 (this poor lady and the suitcase fiasco is never going to go away 🤣🤣)
Hi Lee great video love the updates. I’m trying to sell a 2012 mk3 Ford focus in white but can’t shift it I need something bigger any advice on how to sell
As mentioned, price it well on AT, I always see what else is for sale like your vehicle and mileage within a 60 mile range. then make yours look the best priced as royston rightly says.
Hi david, the stuff I am buying is selling, I stick to what I know. Would love to have lots of audis and merc's and bmw's on the pitch but they are just headaches at this sort of price range I deal in
You probably told earlier on, but what is the status of the two Scenics at the back of the pitch. They seem to be there for ages? Are these cars of your colleagues or..?
If you read my post above I explain why. I didn't dither and delay, but decided the purchase wasn't to be for the reason I've stated. But there was nothing wrong with the car which was priced well, and I'm pleased it sold.
You had a chance to buy this beauty @@davidbennett906 and blew it. Lee said it would go fast and he wasn't bluffing. Would I buy a used car from Lee? You bet I would.
Happy days,enjoy.

As mentioned, price it well on AT, I always see what else is for sale like your vehicle and mileage within a 60 mile range. then make yours look the best priced as royston rightly says.
Do you have a website, eBay name etc? so that we can findy your cars?
Thought you were about to say your taking a break from UA-cam had me worried there
No chance of that
Maybe you should move off from the boring bread and butter stuff ,and try a few slightly more interesting and upmarket stuff.
Hi david, the stuff I am buying is selling, I stick to what I know. Would love to have lots of audis and merc's and bmw's on the pitch but they are just headaches at this sort of price range I deal in
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lee is that your old bmw Bauer convertible ? Getting quite rare now
Isn't there any younger family members who could work weekends ? valeting cars , tidying forecourt & workshop ?
Lee as a trader for 35 years I have never had a masseratti, you must rate them? I liked theook of the quottroporte but never got one, cheers Mark
You probably told earlier on, but what is the status of the two Scenics at the back of the pitch. They seem to be there for ages? Are these cars of your colleagues or..?
auction time
Off tomorrow to the bids 👍
Dont worry they will all be back in a couple of weeks.
Lee can you not put an ordinary clutch in it instead of a dual mass
👌👌
The punter who dithered and delayed on the Grande Punto must be kicking himself. What was he thinking?
If you read my post above I explain why. I didn't dither and delay, but decided the purchase wasn't to be for the reason I've stated. But there was nothing wrong with the car which was priced well, and I'm pleased it sold.
You had a chance to buy this beauty @@davidbennett906 and blew it. Lee said it would go fast and he wasn't bluffing. Would I buy a used car from Lee? You bet I would.
Need a small automatic for my daughter , first time driver ,, can you help ?
