Winter just needs some love. Yes, he's been a jerk sometimes but we need to understand what he has been through. Luckily Winter has Qibli who is the only one there for him. That's why I ship it. But yet i don't judge other's opinions about it or punish them for not agreeing with it, I just want people to understand Winter a little more. He's my favorite dragon of the Jade Winglet. >w
Let’s keep in mind that TUI HERSELF has confirmed that Winter AND Qibli are bisexual/pansexual. That means that they’re up there with Sundew, Willow, Silverspot, Burnet, Anemone, Violet’s Dads, Umber, Snowfox and Snowflake. When I read about it, I SCREAMED.
Fun fact; peril is also there as Tui liked the idea of her being trans since she and Sky are from the same egg they would be males, so it’s kinda confirmed that Peril is trans 🏳️⚧️

I needed this, so thankful this was in my recommendations. Ever since I accidentally read book 10 first out of the entire series I've fallen in love with the series and even without any context I still thought that Qibli and winter should get together as a polygamous relationship with moon. Yes I've read the entire series except winglets and book 15 and still think the same thing, although quinter is obviously better if only two can get together.
Alright I’ve narrowed it down. Qibli and Moon were close, sure, but have you even thought of Qibli & Winter’s relationship? On the first day of JMA, Winter let Qibli look at his scavenger, even (maybe) touch it. He did so because it was basically love at first sight - other dragons he would have thought were trying to eat Bandit. But not Qibli! They shared a cave. That’s it. That’s the claim. Winter would have refused to go to the desert with Qibli, anyway and anyhow, but he still went, correct? Qibli jokes about he and Winter getting married, but Winter pushes him off and says no. But at the end of Darkness of Dragons/Winter Turning (can’t remember which book it was) Winter thinks, “if only I didn’t like him so much.” And if you’re an anti-Qinter I HAVE PROFF THAT MOONIBLI AND WIBTERWATCHER ARE CRAP. Winter constantly compares his and Moonwatcher’s (possible) relationship to Arctic & Foeslayer’s. Plus he practically hates NightWings, so being in a relationship with one makes no sense. He claims that he likes Moon, but he’s constantly mean to her & never really says sorry. And with Moon’s mindreading, if Winter ever took off his Sky Fire, she would probably be intruding to some private thoughts. And I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want anyone digging around in my thoughts or dreams. With Moonibli, Qibli claims in Moon Rising that he’s thought terrible thoughts of dragons, meaning there could have been some of Moon. Opinions are opinions and Qibli had some terrible thoughts about Moon meaning bad opinions which leads to their relationship isn’t really gold. SO FIGHT ME IF YOU THINK DIFFERENT ABOUT QINTER-
I agree with you so much For Winterwatcher, I think moon was kind of a bait for winter, crushing on her is a way to rebel against the standards he was raised under. Not to mention him yelling at her in book 10, literally throwing a vase at her, causing her to bleed. Not to mention winter can’t disconnect moon from Darkstalker, making it harder for him to like her. I felt like if they got together, it would be a repeat of Artic and Foeslayer, and we all know how that played out. Not to mention he’s been AWFUL to moon, just read book 6. If they were in a relationship, I can see it turning abusive real quick. For Moonbli, Qibli didn’t really spend much time with her, even though he constantly obsessively thinks about her. And the fact that instead of following moon with Darkstalker, allowing him to spend more time with her WHILE seeing Darkstalkers suspicious behavior more closely, he stays with winter. I feel like their relationship is rushed, we don’t get to see much chemistry with them, even with the “OwO I love yu Qibli be with me ❤️❤️❤️” scene at the end with book 10. Qinter has the best chemistry, Qibli always gives his sympathy to winter, an example with the glass throwing scene. They have to most time together in the books, and it seems that winter greatly trusts Qibli, like you said with the scavenger example. Winter also WILLINGLY went with Qibli to the sand kingdom, seemingly worried about his “friend’s” safety. Oh yeah, he SUGGESTS IT. We have never seen that behavior with moon, which is telling of their relationship. I hope that Qibli and moon break up and Qibli dates winter, because Winterwatcher is just Articslayer, and Moonbli is just Thornmover. But that just my opinion.
I agree on a few points. First of all, Winterwatcher is pretty one-sided and unhealthy; Winter really needed to see some therapy before he was ready for a relationship. Moonbli works on paper but was completely fudged in execution, resulting in a pretty boring ship to read, mostly because Moon seems to get blander with each book. It's a pretty bad sign when the fans are able to consistently write fanfics whose romantic subplots have way better chemistry using the foundations you created.

Winter constantly compares his and Moonwatcher’s (possible) relationship to Arctic & Foeslayer’s. Plus he practically hates NightWings, so being in a relationship with one makes no sense. He claims that he likes Moon, but he’s constantly mean to her & never really says sorry.
And with Moon’s mindreading, if Winter ever took off his Sky Fire, she would probably be intruding to some private thoughts. And I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want anyone digging around in my thoughts or dreams.
With Moonibli, Qibli claims in Moon Rising that he’s thought terrible thoughts of dragons, meaning there could have been some of Moon.
Opinions are opinions and Qibli had some terrible thoughts about Moon meaning bad opinions which leads to their relationship isn’t really gold.

For Winterwatcher, I think moon was kind of a bait for winter, crushing on her is a way to rebel against the standards he was raised under. Not to mention him yelling at her in book 10, literally throwing a vase at her, causing her to bleed. Not to mention winter can’t disconnect moon from Darkstalker, making it harder for him to like her. I felt like if they got together, it would be a repeat of Artic and Foeslayer, and we all know how that played out. Not to mention he’s been AWFUL to moon, just read book 6. If they were in a relationship, I can see it turning abusive real quick.
For Moonbli, Qibli didn’t really spend much time with her, even though he constantly obsessively thinks about her. And the fact that instead of following moon with Darkstalker, allowing him to spend more time with her WHILE seeing Darkstalkers suspicious behavior more closely, he stays with winter. I feel like their relationship is rushed, we don’t get to see much chemistry with them, even with the “OwO I love yu Qibli be with me ❤️❤️❤️” scene at the end with book 10.
Qinter has the best chemistry, Qibli always gives his sympathy to winter, an example with the glass throwing scene. They have to most time together in the books, and it seems that winter greatly trusts Qibli, like you said with the scavenger example. Winter also WILLINGLY went with Qibli to the sand kingdom, seemingly worried about his “friend’s” safety. Oh yeah, he SUGGESTS IT. We have never seen that behavior with moon, which is telling of their relationship.
I hope that Qibli and moon break up and Qibli dates winter, because Winterwatcher is just Articslayer, and Moonbli is just Thornmover.
But that just my opinion.
I agree on a few points. First of all, Winterwatcher is pretty one-sided and unhealthy; Winter really needed to see some therapy before he was ready for a relationship. Moonbli works on paper but was completely fudged in execution, resulting in a pretty boring ship to read, mostly because Moon seems to get blander with each book.
It's a pretty bad sign when the fans are able to consistently write fanfics whose romantic subplots have way better chemistry using the foundations you created.
