Some people are reporting sound issues tonight so apologies. Unfortunately a software update made my normal editor unusable so I had to switch. It’s been a painful experience to be honest. Things should settle down as I get the hang of the new software.
I noticed when you use the DJI mic the sound is much better. In your RV you do not use the mic on and it is very hard to hear. You should both be wearing a mic. I have gone to using CC.
@@bikeamaWe have to charge them regularly so at times we film without. We never script anything, we just pick up and film as things happen. Most channels do set pieces to camera using a shotgun mic which is much easier to control but that misses a lot of spontaneous stuff. Sound can be hard. Push standards too high and it’s not enjoyable. 🤷
We've had a 20mph limit in our small town and the surrounding villages for many years. I'm now very supportive, and I believe most other people are too. It stops the idiots speeding through, and there's plenty of research about how it makes roads safer and more pleasant for everyone.
We didn't find anyone who supported it and we both have family in Wales. Without a doubt 20mph is safer for pedestrians although only if drivers obey the limit. In reality the idiots who don't are probably uninsured and aware the chance of getting time these days is extremely low.
Hi both that's one of the things I always used to love with the camper. When I'd been to fill the drinking water container and you open the sliding to to the warm and soft glow at dusk but I missed the smell of the gas lights from Caravan days. I think they ought to make scented candles with that aroma. Maybe call it Campsite nostalgia. Then settle down and listen to the radio. Although these days I'd probably be watching UA-cam like you two do. I hope you both have a good Christmas and if you're lucky Santa will bring you a little Black lamb with a little bell on aa ribbon round it's neck. Ho HoHo. 🎅
If Santa does he might be in for a shock. I remember the gas lights in my parents caravan. The mantles were rather delicate I remember. Have a good Christmas 👍
Well that pie worked out a treat …. Quite like the remoteness of the farm as long as you are aware of services or lack of I guess Jane’s EarPods are a perm feature now 😂 they may need surgically removing
That’s something i really wish i had in our van and that’s an oven. Another great video many thanks for Australia……..we’ve just come home from a trip a few days in a regional town (Mildura) and we had temp one day of 46 Celsius…..cooled down to 32 on the day we left.
Another very relaxing video thank you, nice to see a Red Kite in the sky at Aberystwyth we have visited the Red Kite feeding station at Bwlch Nant yr Arian visitor centre several times it is a great outing with dozens of Red Kite coming in to feed , well worth a visit if you are in the area again. Don't know how you'll take this Ken but my wife thinks your voice is so relaxing she seldom makes it to the end of your vids before she's fast asleep. Looking forward to next video.
It's been good following you're vlogs of 2024 even though this one was in June and we're only a few days off Xmas. Looking forward to 2025. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you both🎉. From Malcolm and Sheila from Workington in Cumbria.
Loved the wee lamb. Thanks for the mention. Looks like you enjoyed your pie. Its just as nice eaten cold with a bit of salad. Happy Christmas you two and heres to more adventures for us all in 2025. Love Tina, Bernie and of course Blue 🎅🎄🐕🚙
In 1984 we moved next to a small farm and when the lambs were born, we went to have a cuddle, especially with the dark brown ones like you’ve just made a fuss of. I hadn’t associated the leg of lamb that we had on Sundays for our roast to be one of these gorgeous cuddly animals. We stopped eating any meat from then on ☹️
Hi you two, this was a nice tour in the summer sun, till today we hadn't seen one in almost a fortnight. But after this weekend days will getting longer again, yay! First a Christmas and New Year and best wishes.
Lovely vlog. Loved the little lamb. I’ve not had corned beef hash recently either! Will make soon. Do it a bit different to you two,, but I always put a chunk of butter in the middle of the finished dish,,, naughty,,,, but nice xx
You've really made me feel guilty, lambs my favourite meat 🍖 😋 He was very cute though. Who's got the mint sauce 🤣🤣 Anyway on a serious note Have a Very Happy Christmas and great adventures for 2025 🎄🎄🎄👍🐸🎄🎄🎄
Ken, I am now wondering if you used the mute button on the AirPods? I have the same model, and decided to drive with the mute sound on. That was a big error, because I had a massive fire truck (in the US they are extremely loud) behind me blaring to move out of the way, and I did NOT hear it, which was very dangerous. Just wondering… I will never do that again while driving, much safer to hear some distant traffic noise.
I really wish I could take a pet on vanlife. I'm going to go out next autumn (southern hemisphere). I bought the van a few months ago and it's a beaut (has the Mercedes OM601 engine)! I went on one trip in spring but won't go out during bushfire season in Australia. I was half planning to go to this other place early but there was just a massive bushfire there yesterday.
@@LifeistooshortCK When native people lived here they burned the bush to create better conditions for hunting. Ever since Europeans came and stopped that we have had big problems but it is getting worse in recent years. People protect their properties as they can but sometimes the state will issue evacuation orders in the event of a bushfire. There are going to be a lot this year because we had a very wet period over the last 3 or 4 years, so there's a lot of dead vegetation now.
Great video but couldn’t hear Carol very well. Not sure if she had her microphone on or not. Keep up the lovely videos. Wishing you both a Merry Christmas xx
Data released by South Wales police shows a 25 decrease in collisions in 20mph zones that were previously 30. Opinion is split admittedly but not cut and dried and most that are against it probably drove faster than 30 previously. Being pragmatic if it only got people to drive at 30 or just below then that’s a result. It isn’t just about drivers it’s about elderly or infirm pedestrians, domestic and wild animals, hedgehogs in particular.
Your farm stop seemed a great find, for even a few days? Just a wee note to those who have cameras with acrylic lenses, which are soft, do not use the prescribed lens cloth wipes, as in time these will scratch your lenses (best for camera lenses, even glass ones, is a cut up old cotton t-shirt. Never polyester as it will scratch)! Happy travels and greetings of the season. Stay safe. Kia Ora from New Zealand. 💜💜 PS: Learned something new this week, you can txt yourself, and receive it!!??
@@LifeistooshortCK thanks Ken & Carol, Think this will be first no Christmas ever, for myself! Arrangements fallen through and weather set to be cool & wet. 💜💜
Good luck with the air pod pros. 🤦♀️ Mine lasted about 2 1/2 yrs before one died. My son had 2 pairs replaced under warranty. While I was in the Apple Store there were 3 other people with non working 1 or both pods. They asked would I like to buy another pair. 😂😂 You’ve got to be joking I said. $400 Aus $ no thanks.

Yes agreed. Apologies. See the pinned comment as to why this happened 👍
First step in opening that can. Buy a better can opener. The one you have is very difficult and hurt your hands to use.

No I always allow some sound in and have managed to hear them. I am forever checking my mirrors as well due to having it drummed into me.

Did Australia always get serious bush fires ? or is it regulations preventing people from protecting their property with fire breaks?

I tried ear buds but couldn't get on with them.I found them uncomfortable. Much prefer ear phones.
The Apple Pro earbuds are very comfortable. I bought the wrong ones at first the normal ones and they were painful to wear.
