The more that you show me this yacht design the more impressed I am. She looks incredible fast and very beautiful. You will have a very beautiful yacht when you finish.
So cool you have such a good relationship with the manufacturer of your boat that you not only get to participate in the sea trials, but have great design help as well. Good to see Matt at the helm. Living vicariously through your videos. Wish I could get a boat and sail. Such enjoyment along with the work! Looking forward to next week! Take care!
Jessica having a beer on deck is like some kind of feng shui magic moment, it makes me think all is right with the world ;-) Perhaps is Michigan feng shui....
So exciting to be onboard during trials and getting insight from the designer. Such an amazing opportunity. Looking forward to news about your build. Such a tease!
@@MJSailing That's the crux of any build, innit? First big steps make tonnes of progress quickly, but then the detail work sets in and it's months and months of not much changes at all. That's the part where I usually struggle to keep on plugging on, so best of luck and good wishes to you both!
It was great getting to meet you in Annapolis. You are living your dream and we wish you continued success in building your dream boat. Looking forward to seeing your baby completed, in the water and ready to travel! Blessings!
I'd really like to see a video about the cost of one of these vs your build cost. Because honestly it's a immense amount of work to build this boat there has to be some pretty significant cost savings to really justify this.
It’s always strange to see Saigon without military everywhere. Sounds like you had a good trip. Vietnam is quickly becoming an economic dynamo too. Can’t wait to see your boat on its sea trials.
@@stevehammond7485 The smells…it’s really great to see prosperity blooming there. The new skills they’ve learned. I am anticipating an amazing final product.
The bean bag chairs are a cool idea for a boat. Like how the front windows are under an eve. Are you scoping out spots you might want to add a cushion or handles.
Looks like a fantastic boat. I don't understand why people put a window in a window in the front saloon windows. The surrounding boarder obscures part of the view. Wouldn't it be clearer and better looking to have one big window in the whole opening (like the Outremer 55. More ventilation as well.
The boats look better and better the more you show and sail on them. A decent rig on your should really make a difference in light airs and you are experienced enough to manage it well. I guess new owners would really benefit from lots of practice and advice on how to optimise the performance. When you learn how to sail/race a boat well you see the huge differences in performance, comfort, safety
Thanks B M. We have a lot to learn on how to handle this type of power. At least we already have the knowledge about cruising. So we can concentrate on handling the boat and not worrying about other details.
Jessica Jessica Jessica hey Matt I had a question you keep talking about not being able to sail in the river but what is the reason why inquiring minds want to know good luck on your trip hope you guys had fun oh yeah how many hours is it from there😎
Did you watch the video? They were sailing IN the river... They explained in this video that sea trials have to take place IN the river unless the vessel is flagged in some specific countries. SO this boat can sail OUT of the river where all the others had to stay IN it.
🎉 yeah Matt say hi to the little baby that new cat gonna have plenty of room for 2.5 kids on shipboard on way let me know send you some good baby shower gifts 🎁 😅🎉🎉🎉
I haven't watched the video yet but I don't like the title I'll tell you that much. It's way too late to be saying things like that you must obviously know that so either this is just crap clickbait or you have a problem. Now to watch and find out and I hope it's not clickbait, 3 strikes of that and I'm out sorry.
I’m sure it’s just me but as an old fart, I’m getting tired watching everyone running around in Viet Nam where there happens to be a lot of American blood in those parts. It’s fine that you spent your money to support their economy but you don’t need to rub our noses the in the night life etc. Just come home and build your boat.
There's a lot of American blood spilled right here at home too... If you're not gonna travel anywhere we've fought a war the world you're left with is pretty damn small.
Matt, you are an incredibly fortunate man! Never let her go!
I think she would say the same about herself. Seeing as how they've been together since school days.
The more I watch this, the more excited I am for you two! Can't wait to see the day that you splash!
She fits ye like a glove ... I think I know your news regarding your own build, and if I'm right it makes such good sense!! Stay Safe & Fair Winds !!
The more that you show me this yacht design the more impressed I am.

We can't wait to share the renders of the 48 ft when it's complete too. Max Cruise is designing some very beautiful boats.
@@MJSailing I wish they would design a yacht around 38 feet.

Learning about what you are building and eventually sailing is certainly important. A dance or three helps. Come on Matt, shake it.

As long as there isn't sea water crashing over the bow, a beer on deck always makes things better.
Beautiful! I can't wait to see your boat out on the water!!!
Us too!! 😃 Still a *little* more work to do first.
Great video. 👍👍👍 Have a wonderful day.😉 Greetings. 😎

Thank you for the tour of Saigon.

How close is your yard to the boat show?
OOOOHHHHHH! Are you getting the hybrid engines??? Now that would be exciting news.

I agree, ugly distracting design.
Amazing 😻
In profile photos of the boat it just looks fast. Great aesthetic design, fitting the performance. (Get the tall rig, please.)
Exactly,, look at how narrow the hull hulls are, good video shots of the back end of them. I think people underestimate the importance of hull width.

Hahaha, like Matt would ever do Karaoke!
@@MJSailing I thought the same at one time. Then much alcohol was added one night.....
the plotter behind the wheel will be hard to see and also operate, gotta be a better place for it.
They've actually made some changes to this setup, which we'll be covering in one of our future videos.
@@MJSailing makes me wonder why they put it there in the first place, i hope the ozzys not pulling the wool over your eyes.
Is the radar just on a head level post temporary, or is it really going there for some reason?
Are the waters around there mixed with Red clay?
This I'd full time living? How long sailing to safely sail this beauty? Are pirates a real concern today?
Matt, why did you go with daggerboards as opposed to the "mini" keels mentioned in this video?
hull six looks promising
Code zeros are laminate. I believe that's more a code 1....
Beautiful colour though.
Thanks
Where is the chain locker on that boat? It looks like the anchor was just tied off. Is there a windless?
That's the anchor used in this river. The real anchor is tucked underneath and the windlass is aft in a locker by the windows.

8:18 I noticed the windows are much smaller than the previous build. You are doing the larger window openings correct?
In the hull sides? If so, then yes, we are opening those as large as possible.
Would you consider dropping the intro "After 8 years..." ?
It really should be changed to 10 years now.
I like the intro.

What was the code zero made from, who made I
It's a nylon code zero made by North Sails in South Africa
😁Would the news for your build be down sizing and upgrading the battery cutoff switches.?🔛maybe? ps fire the Director if can't find a car to tape in.🎬
