I was NOT expecting the "'nite you prissy sea-unt". Been a while since I laughed out loud at a sponsored video. Normally I just skip them. Well done you prissy sea-unt.
Love the evolution of your personal protective gear. Its gone from paper masks and cheap nitrile gloves to biohazard level 3 exposure suits (with vented pits :) )! The same evolution is on display with your construction skills. Also, it was great running into you at the show. Give me a call if you need an extra set of hands.
I will admit that my knee-jerk reaction is to fast forward through ANY commercials since I pay for UA-cam to avoid watching them, but your Scottish lord one was really funny. I'll watch them for sure from now on!
Matt and Jessica, The hull is really starting to take shape, now. I had secured my flights to go to Annapolis for the boat show, but I decided to cancel. The least expensive lodging that I could find was $700/night. I will plan early next year and hopefully find something reasonable. Have a great time at the show. Thank y'all for sharing. Cheers! Blue Skies.. Faithfully, James
The boat coming along just fine! looking fantastic really. congrats you must be excited to see that its actually looking like a boat more and more each day.
Get a carbide rotary rasp bit(s). NOT a fluted router bit. They cut fiberglass like butter and do not wear out. UNLESS they hit wood. Wood will cause a hot spot and over heat the bit. In the luxury yacht industry, we use rotoary rasps often for cutting out window hatches, helm hardware ETC... using 1/8th bits on dremel is wonderful. FYI they are brittle when 1/8th, chatter is the killer. but makes good clean work. ALSO rotary rasps are ""less"" likely to pull unlike a fluted bit.
You both accomplished so much in this episode. Between a maiden voyage, cocktail hour and redocking; I was amazed how quickly with accurate measurements the Venus hatch holes were cut. Truly inspirational this past episode. See you at the Boat Show!
Ha haha love the lords and lady segment. But why the Australian accent? Just kidding - most Americans think we were Aussies when we visited the US leaving our castel in the UK
Looking good people, looking very good. A word of warning with the Vetus hatches. When opening or closing make sure you use the frame and not the handles to push them open. I pushed my brand new one open with the handle and popped the seal between the glass and its frame resulting in an annoying drip coming into my forward cabin. My solution for the interim has been to use tape on the topside to keep em watertight. Resealing them is somewhere way down on my to do list. The joys of boats!.
So much change in the past year! I've got to schedule another trip over the bridge to say, "Hi!" and buy lunch/dinner for you two. Is the earlier than normal shift in temperature going to throw off bonding the roof deck/sides, 30-40 degree swings in a single day can't be helpful?
CAT CONTENT! Made my day. Georgie reminds me so much of my late, great Zoie that I get a mixed flash of joy and pain at the sight of her. Great boat content too ( : < )!
I haven't seen an episode in a while. (I go through stages where I hate everything I watch and move on to something new) but this came up in the feed and WOW, you guys are making some serious progress!
Will be a cool look -Do you think all the boats being damaged in Florida might screw up the supply for items you need for your boat? For a split second I thought it would be cool if you could incorporate a little hydroponic herb garden into the cabin-- until I thought of going through customs and having to declare any living plants. I bet Oregano could handle ocean travel, mint is almost impossible to kill. I think basil, chives, and Oregano possibly rosemary. sage could do well. The next though would be if you did microgreens would that help for long voyages.
Never Leave a Hatch Upside Down,, It's Bad Luck,, ,I was actually fired from a Scallop Boat in New Bedford Ma. ..it was more funny than anything,, ,,The Master fired me out at sea Whilst we were fishing, but we still had another 7 day's of fishing,, he needed me to finish the trip though,, that was ok,, But once we Landed our Catch in Fairhaven Ma. He was like,, "" Hey pack your Bags ""...Course I was still green to Commercial Fishing,,of only a year,, But 44 yrs later...never happened again....Hatches Up...Bad 🤞 Luck!!!
Matt & Jess - you mentioned moving the boat out of the tent in the spring. Why move it then when it won't be finished? To where will you be moving it? On land? In the water?
Be careful not to bend or twist the bulkhead where the sliding door needs to fit. If there's tension in there, it might move even long time after the door is installed...
Matt & Jessica, does the Mfg provide all the parts for the boat or do you have to get parts like the hatches from somewhere else? boat is looking good.
Seems like the plan to put foam and black acrylic all around the front window/hatches is unnecessary. It cant be done in one piece so there will be joint lines. Compared to a flat white surface upon which the hatches are mounted, the other stuff adds cost, work, weight and a black surface that absorbs heat.
time 1:40 YIKES! never stand under a suspended load-ever. What if that center piece had stuck requiring a bit of heavy push and it slid to the side and fell! My heart stopped. Your viewers would not like harm to come to either of you.
Consider: Does pushing snake oil for a few bucks help you in the long run, or turn viewers away? A square foot of Scottish land, come on man, are we that gullible?

SO EXCITING! Look at all that light!!!
Also, that's a pretty nice boat for a man who lives in a trash bin. 🤣🤣🤣 Congratulations, Tucker!
I’m always blown away by all that you’re accomplishing. 🤯
Great job guys.
Thank you so much!!
That was exciting to hear, "pulling her out of the tent in the Spring". You are really making great progress and it's fun to watch!

Saw you guys at the boat show on Thursday. You guys were eating lunch at Pusser's. Did not wanna disturb you guys while enjoying lunch with others.
It's really making strides now with all these pieces I'm so thankful I've gotten to see this from day 1
Its amazing the amount of detail for each task. The hatches will look great!
I will admit that my knee-jerk reaction is to fast forward through ANY commercials since I pay for UA-cam to avoid watching them, but your Scottish lord one was really funny. I'll watch them for sure from now on!
You two continually amaze me with your persistence and work. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Ooh coffee made Saturday afternoon perfect timing.

Thanks. Good info to know.
glad to see you guys at the show.thanks for giving James that navy towel
Great job, she's looking good. Just watching the video going under the Annapolis bridge. We'll wave as we go by Kentmoor.
Congratulations! Next step in the process.
... hey, don't look now you two, but you've got beautiful boat coming out of all that stuff and goo you've been playing with ... great job guys ...
Great episode guys. Good to see Tucker is happy with his boat.
Wow! Now that's starting to looks like something!
It feels like a major milestone today. Matt proves again that he is a world class boat builder
You both accomplished so much in this episode. Between a maiden voyage, cocktail hour and redocking; I was amazed how quickly with accurate measurements the Venus hatch holes were cut. Truly inspirational this past episode. See you at the Boat Show!

Another surprise with the progress. Entertaining for sure.
Such an exciting milestone - you guys are achieving great things, and it looks amazing!!
Do you guys mind making another one while you are at it? Thannnkkkss

Hi, ordered my Lordship status from your link👌
Awesome!! Now we'll have plots together! 😃
Congratulations to Tucker on the maiden voyage of his boat. Nice work on the hatches.
Great progress guys
Started watching when ya'all goin to build a boat. What I learned is...too much work. Stick it out so I don't have to.
No matter the project, it’s great to see things done right.

It's great to see these big changes happen. Great to see Georgie make an appearance too.
CAT CONTENT! Made my day. Georgie reminds me so much of my late, great Zoie that I get a mixed flash of joy and pain at the sight of her. Great boat content too ( : < )!
Better all the time ! I learn so much from you both. Thank you
I haven't seen an episode in a while. (I go through stages where I hate everything I watch and move on to something new) but this came up in the feed and WOW, you guys are making some serious progress!
Awe, :/ why didn't I get a heart from MJ Sailing? I hate everything!!! 🙂
Just an aside those hatches used to be a New Zealand brand WEAVER I sold LOTS in South Africa
Call me crazy, but it seems like things are accelerating.... it's really starting to look like something that will float for a long time!!!!
Great progress guys.Looking great
Very beautiful video 👍👍
I haven watched you guys in while but the boat is looking good
So many details and reinforcements. This must be much better than factory. You guys make it feel easy and it’s definitely not.
Wow more progress! Keep rolling! Looking amazing! 👍👍
Good stuff keep up the hard work!
Looks great ! Can’t wait for the finishing😎

Awesome! The boat looks massive now that the top is on.
t flatten that pieces. Could you apply heat to make it a little more pliable?
All the details of the construction, with so many seeming to need special attention even if they’re very small… does it ever get daunting?
wow, really coming together. awesome!!
wow this is getting exciting
Wait wait...no bourbon, that makes up most of my body
Love bourbon, can't drink it, but love an ice cold bourbon.
Matt & Jess - you mentioned moving the boat out of the tent in the spring. Why move it then when it won't be finished? To where will you be moving it? On land? In the water?
This has been so, Exiting!!!!! Hurry Up!! LOL JK, Great progress. Thanks :):)
Great job so far looking forward to more progress.
This is so exciting and amazing project! I hope you’re able to complete it sometime this decade. 😂
Be careful not to bend or twist the bulkhead where the sliding door needs to fit. If there's tension in there, it might move even long time after the door is installed...
Great episode as always and great to see you at the boat show Friday. Bill from Boston (and maybe Kent Island)!! Cheers.
Thanks Bill. Make the move down here. It's worth it!
I can not wait to see your next boat..
I haven’t even watched your vid yet and I’m sooooo excited!!! Great job you two !!
Awesome I love your vids.
Well done with the build so far.
Cheers Rory
Stay safe.
Matt & Jessica, does the Mfg provide all the parts for the boat or do you have to get parts like the hatches from somewhere else? boat is looking good.
Looking great. How is the roof fastened to the side walls? Thanks guys…
How long till you splash?!
Great Job!!! Thank You… ;-)
It’s a boat!
Was that Georgie the sea going kitty i saw on the boat???
Starting to look like a boat.
congrats. did you get to the boat show yet? next time contact me a call if you need help...
Yes, we are enjoying the excitement of Boat Show as we speak!!

This too late, could have used heat on a flat surface to fix the warp on the beauty channel. Project is coming along awesome tho.
This boat looks so incredible flimsy.... i hope you do some short coastal hops before going offshore.
very funny
Luar biasa... Dan hebat

Only ignorant viewers have a problem with it.
