What do us UA-camrs get up to behind the scenes?
We officially survived the Annapolis Boat Show 2022!! It was an amazing time with so many amazing people. I honestly did not think last year could be topped...but I was wrong.
And I wish I could go on much more about it, but I did leave the show having caught a head cold, and so elaborate thinking and poetic waxing is a little beyond me right now.
But, you still get to come on the adventure with us!! Answering the question - what is it like to be a UA-camr at this event? Other than visiting vendors and spending time at the Sailing Channels booth, what kinds of things do we get up to?
It turns out A LOT!! We were up and about from 8 am each day until midnight. Wandering, browsing, eating, connecting. There's still a number of things that didn't even make it into this episode! (Like our Patreon meet-up on Sunday, thank you SO MUCH to those who were able to make it!!)
We hope you enjoy this behind the scenes look at being a creator at one of the largest boat shows in the U.S. - we're already looking forward to seeing your smiling faces at next year's show!

So good for you to catch up with fellow sailing UA-camrs. Huge credit to Jeff Bach & family in supporting all of you in so many ways. Love the regular Lords & Ladies slot, is Tucker allowed to (even temprarily) defect to the Vagabonde clan? Good to see Lin Pardy, encouraging others. You do so well in capturing the many aspects of such an event, excellent footage, filming and lots more!
Tucker will have been allowed to muck out the black water by hand and swab the decks and passerelle. Lucky guy

Wow that was a really interesting video. A nice change of pace from boat building and a good insider look at all the sailing UA-camrs - I think I actually saw Plucky from Sailing Into Freedom no less. Looks like a busy time at the boat show. 😄

My wife and I ended up missing your booth times at the show due to a couple of complications. I was bummed to have missed meeting you guys. Looks like you had a lot of fun. We stayed near Queenstown in an Airbnb, and I thought about your boat build every time we crossed the bridge. Maybe next time! Larry

Just know that from this fan (from New Hampshire) everyone's willingness to share their goals and adventures on You Tube is well just ~ Incredible. What Delos shared about the Sail Cargo people was just mind blowing. I wanted to ask them about how Sail Cargo is doing. And I want to learn to speak Portuguese so I too can repair boats in a yard with teak and (purple heart) exotic wood just laying around everywhere. Sailing Yaba? er something like that. This post shows that many not so "famous" "posters" all were supported and seemed to have a good time. I was worried. ~ Just saying~. Even about you guys. Good Job ! ~~~. ✨🌸✨. M.J. Great video, so fun to see so many of my favorite youtubers in one room.... Jeff and his wife are Saints for hosting everyone, but I'll bet it was nice for the 2 of you to be able to leave the group, take a short ride and sleep back in your own bed, you also didn't have to pack clothes and camera gear like all the others... not a bad deal!!

Very fun episode guys! Love the T-shirt, if they (or you guys) were to spend one or maybe two hours at the boat show doing that, you could see each custom shirt for about $100.00!

We had such a blast chatting with so many people that we've watched on UA-cam but hadn't had the chance to meet face to face yet
A couple of thoughts here, one, I normally don’t drink adult beverages this early in the morning unless I’m fishing but watching everyone enjoying themselves with a drink in hand I'm going to have a scotch, two, your videos are shot and editid seamlessly, great job I know that you put a lot of work into it, three, I have no friends, might have to buy a boat and go sailing and start a UA-cam channel and four, well I can’t remember four because I already started drinking. Thanks for keeping me entertained

Thank you for sharing the boat show. There were so many UA-camrs I used to watch in your video. For me, once some of the other UA-camrs started having kids, their adventures became less interesting. Having had kids as well, I totally understand why, but I guess that’s the tricky part of adding kids to a sailing life that you choose to share. The channels change. Yours has changed too (kind of), but I’m thoroughly enjoying watching you build your beautiful new boat.
Really glad to hear you're enjoying the build series! And there's only going to be our fur baby on our boat, haha.

The Annapolis boat show video was somewhat disappointing. I gather it was another publicity scam, as scattered interviews were a passing reference that "the gang" didn't want to be on camera. Again, I'm looking forward to more footage on the actual building. Thanks again!
