The MIRV Minigun is the most unbelievably cursed weapon I’ve ever wielded in any game I’ve ever played.
It's honestly just a crazy weapon. It's so OP to the point it can even crash the game in but a few seconds.
It'll bring a 3090 TI to its knees in the VR port.
Put a submachine gun receiver and missile computer system on a combat shotgun. It's just as crazy, actually looks like a legitimate gun, and won't kill you as often
@@raincloud1313 Survival mode this will one-shot you guaranteed. Self-damage due to explosions is freakin insane. It's for this reason I carry two 10mm pistols, one modded to fire homing rockets like you said, the other that's just a conventional two-shot. Shares the same ammo, lightweight, covers me for long-distance and up-close.

I love using the lock on missile attachment with the minigun it turns it into the Ryno from Ratchet and Clank imo which is really fun
Ripe you a new one, one of the best weapons I ever saved upo all those cogs for. It was one of the best weapons and the moment I got it I felt it was one of the best decisions ever. Yeah, it's crazy how you can recreate some other worldly weapons in FO4.

How did you use the lock on missile attachment to the minigun if this exploit only lets you add the first mod slot of the scrapped weapon? The first mod slot of the missile launcher is a barrel slot, not a sight slot (targeting computer is a sight)
Sorry, I found it out. It requires some sleight of hand with the mouse on PC thus making it extremely difficult to pull off on console

Ha ha you have yo be careful when indoors when using anybody explosive weapons in general really. I have lost so many times, usually due to my own actions.

Loved fallout games in general where you were able to customise your own weapons and with the pipe weapons being universal and turning them into a rifle, or a sniper, even into a pistol was awesome, giving a small pistol a scope was quite fun for me, just knowing you can actually do that
It's an absolute solid exploit and when done right it can be very powerful. You can create your own weapon to. Sometimes they may not do increased damage etc but they can look the part to fit your own playstyle or build.

Yeah that sounds about right. This is one of the few glitches that literally allows you to create your own weapons. Imagine combining things like Minigins and pistols or laser weapons with machine guns lol.
@@TrappedInFallout holy crap, what happens if you add this to a shotgun that has double projectiles? Would every shotgun buckshot pellet projectile each be a bunch of nukes? So every shotgun shell would be like... 8 pellets, with MIRV for each, AND double shot? Holy crap
@@JB-xl2jc There really is no way to know until you actually try it out. I am currently applying sledgehammers modification to a combat knife. Combine that with VATs, melee and Ninja perks. My goal is to one hit kill a Mirelurk Queen on survival mode. It's fun trying things out lol.

I had to nerf myself after putting the harpoon shotgun spread mod onto the Spray n’ Pray. It killed alpha deathclaws in just a few rounds.
Hence why I call these Godly weapon. Enemies become as humbled as a radroach when you make weapons like this in game.
Now this makes me want to go and see if I can get Aeternus with either plasma or nuka-quantum rounds, thanks for bringing this glitch to our attention. 😊
No problem at all Elian. That's sort of the beauty of this glitch, you can go and experiment and see what happens. At times you may not be happy with the results and at other times they may just surprise you. This has the potential to be super OP, literally For tier weapons. Now imagine taking this and using effects like Explosive on weapons.
This will make the Alien Blaster ammo no longer rare

my favorite combo that ive done so far is a knife with the armor piercing mod for the power fist it makes it look like you’re holding a weaponized cinder block so i can go up to my enemies and shout “Hey Wattson! Cinder block!” 😂
That's a very interesting combo. For melee weapons, I like to go with Sledge hammer modifications on small melee weapons such as Combat knifes. Small, compact and very high damage. Imagine combining this with Ninja, VATS etc. Melee would be totally broken.

It just works lol. Yeah, and better it you can create not just any weapon but some OO ones too. Bring in the hordes of Deathclaws, it's nothing but a hot knife on butter.

I have an early update for everyone. My friend axslbreaker has found another use with this glitch. He has taken the deep dish modification from the gamma gun and has managed to put it on a minigun. AND IT WORKS. What we have found is the barrel modification is what's being used in the glitch so you are able to modify the new frankengun. I caution anyone wanting to use a missile launcher or fat man as too many explosions caused our games to crash when we tested this. That being said enjoy your new combo weapons fellow vault dwellers.
And I have an update to my update. My friend and i just did another test and have found this glitch works with melee weapons. We have successfully managed to put a super sledge into a ripper. What we have found is the melee weapon you want to fuse HAS to have 2 damage types to apply any change to the new weapon so if the weapon has slash and electric damage then electric damage will be transferred. If the weapons ONLY HAVE ONE DAMAGE TYPE than nothing will change aside from the weapons look.
That sounds like an excellent combination. So as long as the damage type of different between the weapons then its works. Cool, I will try it out. I did at one point merge a sledge hammet with a combat knife and it looked like thors hammer.
Aside from combining the nuke to a minigun as others have mentioned. Would be interesting to merge the harpoon gun or bowling ball launcher to a minigun.
Yes, itost certainly will be. I am also looking into seeing if it's possible to take something like Ballistic Weave from normal clothing and seeing if I can apply it to something like Leather Armor. And then seeing if it possible to apply to hands, legs etc effectively having it applied more than twice.

@@rydergolde3169 It's a great question. It's not something I have had a lot of success with but I did manage it. I have not tried too much playing around with my Vault suit but have done it on other clothing items and in the end did at points manage to have clothing armor that out classed power Armor defense. It can get really crazy and OP.

I once did this after modifying a pipe pistol with an automatic receiver and the best possible magazine it could have. I called it Total Atomic Annihilation, but uh, there are a couple of rules to keep in mind with this particular weapon.
- Rule #1: Don't use TAA indoors.
- Rule #2: Don't use TAA with V.A.T.S. since it'll aim like you're using a regular, non-nuclear pipe pistol, except you're not.
Yeap, I've been done more damage to myself using this type of weapon over any other weapon type in the game.
Does this actually work?? Is it the damage of the nukes or just the animation of the nuke with the damage of the pipe pistol? In your demonstration video in Concord, it appears the Raiders weren't really getting damaged.
It's definitely the damage of the nukes. I may have missed (as unlikely as that would sound). Try using this on a Deathclaw and you should see its action rather quickly. It really is an OP weapon.
this is a very helpful and wonderful guide! i’ve been having a problem with the next gen update though. the piggy bank launcher comes in front of the mirv launcher so you can’t do the scrap exploit to make the launcher for free. it’s really annoying
Yeah, even worse is that you can combine the Piggy Bank with other weapon or rather you can but sadly it does not fire ammo native to the weapon.
BTW this works on the VR port, but you MUST use an xbox controller. If you try to do it using the VR hand controls, for whatever reason, it does not work even if you press the correct buttons at the exact correct time. Something about the input requires a normal gamepad.

Mmm, if i put the piggy mod on a pistol, it fires piggys but the ammo are piggys not pistol ammo..it's kinda of expensive... or i missed something in the proces??
No I don't think you have. It's something that I have checked myself and thr Piggy Ammo seems to behave differently to the other ammo and therefore is treated differently.
if i may, if it does not work - try naming the 'top' (source weapon) as a Blank Space (SPC), and name the 'bottom' (target weapon) as two Blank Spaces (SPC SPC) - this is on a Keyboard or accessing the keyboard interface on a Console gaming box; i forgot where i read this originally [sorry whomever discovered it] but this has worked for me personally, when i sometimes had trouble to combine the two weapons...

Does this only work for the fatman? I’ve tried quite a few other combos but they’re all visual only.
It's totally random really. Some do look visually while others do serve somewhat functionally. Try putting the barrel of a minigun on other weapons or try putting something from a pistol on a minigun or my personal favorite to try putting a sledge hammer on a knife.
There is a mod called the cheat terminal portable wich basically let's you use console commands without opening the console so basically it's for console players
Anyways there is an option that let's you modify a gun you are holding and you can basically put any modifications on any gun you want

Every time I've ever tried this, it usually works. But sometimes it will scrap the weapon, go to the other weapon but not have the option to put on the other weapons modifications and will be normal. It's annoying but I did make an invisible pistol so that's cool 👍
This is a tricky one to do and the button timing can be hard. But yes if you get the timing right then you can get some interesting results. It's best to save just before trying to prevent accidentally scrapping your weapons.
I know on the Ps4 version, you could get some weapons to have 2 legendary effects. I think they required to be the same type of weapon. Does that still work, or does it crash the game? I have a Improved Vats Gauss Rifle and The Last Minute Gauss Rifle which does the 50% more limb damage. Would be awesome if I'm able to put both perks on 1, and the game not crash.
I don't think this is possible because you can't scrap legendary weapons. And you need to be able to scrap weapons to move mods around.
@TrappedInFallout yeah, I think it was patched out on ps4. Was trying to see if they forgot about it on this version. Bc you use to could get get 2 legendary perks on 1 item. But that was a long time ago. Miss those days.
I'm having trouble doing this glitch, I'm on ps5
I think the next-gen update made this impossible, cause now the fat man can be modified to be a piggy launcher
And even if i put that mod on a pipe pistol, it uses special ammo(not the pipe pistol one)

I actually tried this myself a couple of days ago and was able to do this. You basically just need thr MIRV launcher and you should be good to go. I attached it to a pip pistol.

any idea why my pipe pistole has the fat boy mod on it but still shoots normal bullets?
It should fire normal ammo and your normal ammo should go down when using this glitch but the ammo animation should be mini nukes. As long as you have attached the MIRV launcher then that is what should happen.

Sorry to hear that. Sadly the downside of using glitches. Random crashes....or sometimes crashes that happen after specific steps.
i keep trying it and it keeps on glitching to the keys, junk, and other stuff not to the pipe pistol?
Is this when you try to move the mod of one weapon and onto then other? At this point you should not see any other items from your inventory.
Hey, how do i put mods other than the barrel onto other guns? I wanted to make a rapid firing rocket launcher
You essentially have a mod available from the weapon on top and then use the steps shown to put it on a weapon below. Do note that not all weapon mods work on other weapons. Some mods end up just being an aesthetics thing.
I saw someone else glitch a merv to a mini gun. He fired it from the top of a skyscraper downtown, and the rain of fire was impressive to say the least. I think he killed everything in the commons is one volley.
Ha ha it was something I was thinking of doing myself but I did not want to risk the game crashing on me mid recording session.
@@TrappedInFallout honestly, with as many nukes as he had falling and exploding, I am shocked it didn't lock up. There had to be 100 nukes in the air at once. It's definitely a fun glitch if you can pull it off
Be VERY careful with this combo. Fatman launchers are built to fire at an arc whereas most other weapons are meant to be fired line of sight. You can accidentally nuke yourself. Fire up at a slight angle. Try not to use VATS either, because the same logic applies. The game will shoot the projectile straight instead of at an arc and you can accidentally nuke yourself. Finally, do NOT spam shoot this, ESPECIALLY with a two-shot variant, you can lag the game badly or crash it entirely. I know, I made that mistake myself.
I have done this to myself many many times and yet I don't seemed to have learnt my lesson. I tend to use this combo of weapons mainly when I am outside but I also tend to take a little bit of a risk when indoors also. Mostly to my own demise. Good point, thanks for sharing Craxin.

When you consider that you can make a weapon in FO4 that can literally fire Nukes like small BB pellets, yeah NV is not that OP. Then again, Red Glare also has its advantages. Literally plasma balls of death lol.

So I just tried this a triple barrel missle launcer and a pipe pistol and it looks right but still shoots like a pistol
Sadly some mods are only for asthetic reasons and don't serve anything functional while others actually do something. The triple barrel might be just a look thing.
Please somebody tell me how to do this with literally anything that isnt the barrel! Anytime i try to pick a different part, it doesnt let me!
Not all the modes types across wvery weapon may work the way shown. It's basically a limitation of the glitch itself. You can try experimenting and see happen
I just found out you have to do this on PC to change anything that isnt the receiver. PS5 cant do any other part
I attached a missile launcher to a 10mm pistol base but it doesnt shoot out missiles, i dont get it
It shout be shooting missiles visually but it should be using the 10mm ammo instead. That's assuming you applied the same mods and used the same weapons I used in this guide. Also, not all mods works with all weapons sadly. Some even can crush the game.
I bet they "fixed" this glitch, because i don't see the next weapon, I only see the "weapon mod box"-model. Granted, the srap-select thing works, pressing right works, but when I attach the MIRV mod, the game crashes. Maybe they change a property in a weapon class where the value of MIRV can't be stored and so crashes. I'm playing on pc, and it shouldn't differ from PS much.
I actually tried it myself and found that it was working. I did go through all the glitches myself and found most of them still ot he working. And this was after the 13th. I am working on something to help share the news a little in the background.
So i tried this with a minigun and a missile launcher but it still just fires 5mm instead of missiles. Are there any combos that dont work or did do something wrong?
This glitch does not always work with all weapon and the modifications also need to support it. For instance if you attach a scope or stock then that wouldodify your weapon but not switch out the ammo. It's a case of trying out things and seeing really.
@Trapped In Fallout yeah so I experimented a little more and turned that minigun into a quadrant deleter since the mirv fuses with about anything apparently.
@@Mighty_Mr_B Fair enough, I guess that can be a good thing. I personally love my Pistol FatMan. It does wonders when trying to take out many enemies at once.
i have a question so, i can use this glitch to clone a legendary effect to a gun to another? or just the modifications?
This glitch is more about transferring mods from one weapon and onto another and you may also be able to transfer the effect over also. You can also apply multiple mods from multiple weapons onto the same weapon.

@user-xx5cv3ep7d oh I have learnt that hard way, you most certainly can scrap legendary weapons. Don't try it though, it's not great if you can't reload a save file to try and recover it.
Does it work with gauss rifle? I want a gun that shoots gauss rifle ammo.
I'm not entirely sure. It's not a weapon that I have tried this glitch on but it should work. I'm not sure what the result would look like but it will work.
I'm gonna go try this out with modded weapons. See if I can get a vanilla minigun to fire 20mm vulcan rounds so I can make a portable GAU-8 Avenger, or something ridiculous like that
That sounds like a solid plan. Better yet, see if you can find a legendary Minigun. Say something that does more damage or has a infinite load clip etc. It will all stack when you take the mod off the Minigun and onto another weapon.

Nope, no special tricks at all. It's pretty much as shown in this video. You could alternatively checkout my latest content (7 insance glitches for Fallout 4) where I think I go into a little more detail about this glitch - perhaps something there may help but truth be told it's almost the same set of steps.
can someone help me i keep attaching the mod and stuff like it works...but it doesnt shoot the correct thing like it just continues to shoot the same bullets instead of the mirv
After you attach the mod, does it look like the weapon has the mod on it? Also, are you sure you attached the modification of the Fatman to your weapon?
@@TrappedInFallout i managed to figure it out. the weapon i was trying it one had a different receiver on it. when i unattached the receiver it started to work.

I think this is now patched, when I do it, a random item from your inventory instead of the weapon appears, or the pipboy appears instead of the destined weapon
Try doing this with an empty inventory and also make sure to name your mods with perhaps full stops instead and see if that helps.
idk whats wrong. i know how to do it & done it already (rocket launcher + combat shotgun & mirv watergun) now i wanna try something else or even the same combos & it didnt work. the game now wants to upgrade scrap or the mod itself. Anyone know the issue?

This might be happening due to your inventory items. Try again by removing as much as your inventory as you can and also try by naming your weapons as number before attempting to do the glitch.

Sadly no, that does not work. Its something that I did try but no luck.
@@TrappedInFallout I can confirm that you cannot attach ballistic weave to armor pieces, that do not have a "ballistic weave mod slot" in the first place.
BUT you can totally get the same outcome, when equiping a possibly infinite amount of armor pieces with the help of this glitch and the Zealot's or Inquisitor's mod from the Marine armor. (It's completely OP btw)
Can you combine 2 or more glitched weapons to make a MEGA glitched weapon
Sort of yes. You can keep applying modifications to the same base weapon and see what happens. I would not recommend it but it is possible for sure.
I remember back a day 🤦♂️😂 create strange RPG weapon with scrap metal , nuke Ammo and pipe metal mixed with machine GUN in back what a day 😊 and I thought myself I am crazy creator 🤣👍

I tried to attatch a piggy bank launcher to a 10mm, it worked but now uses piggy ammo instead of 10mm.... what did i do wrong??
I learned about this glitch months ago, but I forgot how to do the timing, so I came back. My personal favorite combo is the MIRV and the Thirst Zapper from Nuka World

Is there a way to make it non mirv? I know it’s automatically op but I hate how the mirv has a specific range before it drops and goes boom
You can try mods from other weapons and see how that works out for you. So you can try perhaps mods from weapons such as the missile launcher or minigun and see how that works out on your end.
@@TrappedInFallout yea I tried putting a quad barrel for the same gun in this vid and it went back to regular ammo but with the barrel of the middle launcher. If you got anything else please tell me tho

The Piggy is a new ammo type so it might behave a little differently. It theory it should work.
I feel like this is a speed run guide to breaking your pc hahaha. I know mine would blow up just from the frames of the first nuke explosion lol
That's exactly what I was afraid off when I was trying to run and record this at the same time on my PC. I was worried that this might crash my kit lol. It does go a little crazy, I'm happy I didn't make the machinegun one instead. Or an Automatic pistol.
Is it normal for it to crash the game the moment you select the mirv? Tried 5x same thing.
It might be. It should be working for the weapons and mods that I have shown in this video but other weapon and mod combinations might crash the game.
@TrappedInFallout unfortunately now it seems to only bring up a key after I scrap the fatman. And we can't drop keys or quest items, anyway around this?
How come mine is using nuke ammo? I made a sniper piggy bomb but it needs piggy ammo?
I have not tried the Piggy Bombs just it but it might behave differently to the MIRV. I will give it a go later today and see.

Yes, or rather I know of one or way. To use the companions glitch. It's not something I have covered just yet but plan to when is start looking at DLC content. I have quite alot to cover for th DLCs actually. 😄

I don't really play Fallout 76 sonInam not entirely sure but you can give it a go and see what happens. Chances are that if you have been playing FO76 and not seen anything like this yet then it probably won't work as other would have done it by now. This is an old glitch in FO4.

It most certainly is. I decided to go with the simple pipe pistol and Fatman but in hindsight maybe I should have also shown the Minigun at work. You could also take the effect off a legendary Fatman and that would stack also.

I don't own a PS5 so I am not entirely sure. It might be a button timing thing. On PC you need to press the buttons at exactly the same time. On PS5 that might not be the case. Perhaps try pressing one button just a second before pressing the other and see if that helps.
@@TrappedInFalloutHe's right it doesn't work for the 10mm pistol I did read on the wiki that this doesn't work for all weapons which is probably why a lot others use the pipe pistol

@@someoneelse4132 your timing and order of weapons are key when doing this you kinda hafta keep trying it's very much doable, the video is legit.
Can you also dupe them in the conveyor glitch?
Yes, you can drop the weapon onto a belt and duplicate it as you would any other weapon, items etc.
I unfortunately tried this glitch on 01-24-24 and it seems to not work
Edit on 01-27-24. I got the glitch to work, the names “0” & “1” were not working but I changed the names to regular “pip pistol” & “fat boy” them back to “0” “1” then it decide to work

@Fitchmister224 I'm playing on PC but many folks have confirmed to be working across multiple platforms. Instead of pressing both buttons, perhaps now try sliding your finger from one button to another and holding it down.

Nope, this is still working. In my latest Fallout 4 content (7 insane glitches) this is confirmed working with the latest updates (17th June 2024).
@@TrappedInFallout perhaps it's my fault, or maybe it's because i have minigun mod that doesn't require it to spinup... but with pipe pistol it also doesn't work it shows the 10mm ammo instead of weapon. However it works the otherway, i can attach minigun 6 barrells to a fatman or any weapon XD i'll give it a try, thanks for the update that it still works, i'll keep trying!!!
I can't get the targeting launcher on the minigun. Any advice ?
So this does not work with all mods across all weapons, it's a case of experimenting to see what works and what does not. That code written for targeting is specific for the missile launcher so changes are that mod will not work for other weapons.

I'm not entirely sure. I have tried and did manage it in a previous playthrough but that was a combination of some random weapons. Apologies but it was a while ago but I will try to figure it out.

I did this with a missile launcher but it won't shoot any missiles.
This glitch does not work with all weapon mods. Some are sadly just aesthetics while others are functional.

Ha ha thanks so much. It's a solid exploit and one can truly mix and match to make your own weapons. It's nice when you can literally modify weapons to your own liking.
Can you do the same thing but not on the reciever slot?
Because of the way the glitch works, it always goes for the first weapon modification slot.

It only takes a couple of minutes to be honest but getting the trick down and learning it can take sometimes. At first it toke me a few attempts. I now use it pretty much all the time and get it first time. I'm stead trying to press one button after the other, try sliding your finger get across from one button to another.

Has anyone found a way to add range to this thing? No matter what gun its on the best range is 23 wich isn't far enough. Would be nice if I didn't blow myself up so often 😅
Sadly you can not add range to mini nukes. When you fire the nuke itself the range is dependent on how high up you aim and not based on the trajectory of the weapon itself. And that's sort of why I mentioned not to this in close corridors.
OH GODS, IT WORKS! I did this in my game and now I have an infinite clip, western revolver that shoots 5 mini nukes. I did have it on a 10 mm Pistol, but automatic weapons WILL CRASH THE GAME! Now I wonder what other weapons can be fused like this? If anyone knows this question, please let me know!
Thanks for confirming that it's all working. To answer your question try any weapons and see what you get. It's up to you really. Some won't work but will look different and some will be functional.
i slapped a modifed bowling launcher from Far Harbor to a rapid combat shot gun and it is a infinite ammo dupe
That's super smart, now why did I think of that. I am actually making some weapon combos and I will most certainly try your weapon combo out. You can literally fire, collect and fire again, that's awesome.
How do I make one mini nuke pistol with good range
This is good for close big crowds
Given that you are firing nukes it is not really possible since the nukes themselves have a limited range.

How about cloning legendary effects from one weapon to the other?
Using this technique you won't be able to clone a legendary effect from one weapon to another as only the modification is carried over. However there may be a possible method that you can use to clone legendary effect from one weapon to another but sadly this is not it.

@@TrappedInFallout honestly, having a hard time doing that. So I tried to change the missile launcher quad barrel and targeting computer onto the laser pistol that gives faster firing rate
@@KevTarot I guess that's a plus at the end. Just a better version of your weapon. Some weapon combinations don't actually work at all. The base weapon sort of swallows the modification and you can't use it anymore. Still, it's fun combining weapons to see what is possible.

Nope, this most likely will. With this glitch it's best not to use VATS or in tight corridors. Otherwise there is a chance of having it blow up in your face.
I agree, I only had the Fatman Pistol when at the Institute......unless there's lots of distance I pretty much blew myself up 80 percent of the time 😂

@@user-kb4js1oz9t I have always wondered if it's possible to have a targeting system on weapons other than a missile launcher. Or better yet maybe put mods from other weapons onto a missile launcher. Missiles are heavy so I rather put the mod from a missile launcher onto something like a sniper.

Me and my friend tried for a day to get this glitch to work and here's the weapons we were able to get to work.
10 mm pistol
Pipe pistol plus variants
Double barrel shotgun (game breaking)
Combat rifle
Assault rifle
Minigun (game breaking)
All these weapons can be used SO LONG AS ITS NOT AN AUTOMATIC. If it's an automatic weapon your game will crash. I'll be trying it out with energy weapons this weekend and I'll post an updated list. ALL THE GUNS CAN BE MODIFIED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE BARREL WITH THIS GLITCH.

@@TrappedInFallout when you do that your monitor and game will go white and black for a few seconds when firing long enough because the slow and explosion animation stack and are running at the same time you have to try that

I attatched the piggy bank launcher fat man mod to a pistol and its asking for piggy ammo anyways?
I actually saw that too, in fact in working on something right now that also has the Piggy Bank. And although I did not have any ammo I still managed to get it working 😉
