- I spent 5 days exploring the Argyll area of Scotland, using some of the Wild About Argyll Bike Packing Trail, a 655km route that puts you right amongst the beauty of Argyll.
Argyll's an area I've wanted to explore more of since paddle boarding some of it last year during my Scottish Adventure Triathlon. It was really cool to see it from the land this time - and bike packing was an ace way to do it!

Great video. I have just spent three weeks on holiday in that area as I do most years. I really enjoyed watching your bike tour in Argyll as its my favourite area the the UK. I spent a lot of my time visiting the small islands around Oban including Lismore in my small inflatable boat. Its great seeing Oban and Lismore on a bike tour. so true what you say regarding swim coaching and what you learn. I learnt to swim as a child but also got additional coaching as an adult and realised what I was doing before was just moving in the water.

Fantastic video Sarah, I just love your enthusiasm. The first castle you visited with the pigeon poo on the stairs, where you said there a hole down there, well that was a long drop. it would have had a timber capping on it with a hole large enough for you to sit and do your business on, basically a medieval WC. Amazing shots I love your sense of adventure out there. I was in Oban a few years ago and loved my Motorcycle tour. I think my next is Oban and some islands. Keep at it it good for the bones.

Loved watching this. I’ve spent a lot of time kayaking the Inner Hebrides, there’s few places as beautiful when the weather is nice. Also that pub that overlooks the quarry at Easdale (I can’t spell the other name) is a beautiful location for a mid trip coffee and cake before heading round to the Atlantic bridge. Also the sunsets over the islands on a clear sky are unreal, the sea looks like it’s on fire

Brilliant video as always. You need to watch your paddle boarding off the coast in that area, that's where the massive whirlpool is and the ocean turns into a water fall between a couple of the islands. Worth a visit but do it in a powerful boat. I grew up near Kilmartin and used to love playing in Carnasserie Castle and around the cairns, I kinda feel you might have seen more of Argyll than me now though 🤣 that camp spot before day 5 on Gighia was amazing just wish you could guarantee the clear skies you got. Cheers for sharing this one

Good to see you back on the small screen Sarah. Cracking trip! I know there's loads of tubeless sealants out there, I tried Stan's normal stuff - which didn't work for me. However, I found the Silca Sealant very good (the floaty bits are larger). It does come with it's own problem though, as you have to pull the tyre off the bead and pour it into the tyre (it blocks the valve if you try to put it in through the valve). I think the Stans Race Formula is similar. Good luck.
Really cool to see bike adventuring in my old back yard(used to live in Argyll), thanks!!! I have ridden over 20k miles by bike now and find the best way to reduce punctures are tubes and kevlar tire liners. Here in the SF bay area we have a plant that sheds thorns, the impale themselves on your tires by some kind of magical force, sticking right through and wounding the tube. The tire liner keeps them at bay, also works good for glass/nails/... If you ever make it over to the west coast USA, you should do the PCT trail and then bike back from Vancouver to San Diego along the coast. Take in the side trips to Kings Canyon/Sequoya, Yosemite Valley, Whitney, Crater Lake, Mt. Rainier,... Could have a really nice year, or 2 half year trips. If you do, let us know I may be able to help provision/supply and gear ya up...

Fantastic video Sarah , you were lucky with the weather, been looking forward to this after seeing the instagrams . I need to venture more into Argyll on foot or bike as it’s pretty much a day trip to Oban for fish and chips for me ( I have been to Killmartin glen though , and Skipness) I’m only in Fort William so no excuse 🙈.
love watching your trips when im stuck in the office in the Midlands wishing away the hours, so I can get back to North Wales Mountains and coastline.
