Stunning film Markus. Argyll is really underrated. We stay in Lochgoilhead a lot, but I've never brought my bike before. Never thought to compare it to Patagonia!
Thank you! I cycled up from Ardentinny shortly after a trip to Chile & Argentina, and there were moments where I thought wow, this is as stunning and so much closer to home. You should join us for the Dunoon Dirt Dash, this year's route will be less hiking than previous years.

Yet another fantastic video. Argyll is my favourite part of Scotland. Contrasting coastline and severe lack of traffic. Still discovering unknown parts, thanks to your help.
Hi Lee, glad you enjoyed it! It's a wonderful part of Scotland, and I am looking forward to back soon for another, but smaller, adventure. Working on a follow up book to Great British Gravel Rides now, and there won't be any shortage of routes in the west of Scotland. Further down Ayrshire is also superb for cycling.
Look forward to your next book. Just back from touring the ayrshire alps and the Galloway forest. Definitely be back.

Thanks a lot, and also for ordering the books! I loved the John Muir Way, we cycled only a short stretch of it, beautiful in the rain as well. There is another film in the making in Ayrshire, we could already spot Ailsa Craig from the southernmost point on the Mull of Kintyre.
Thank you for showcasing Argyll in such a brilliant light. We have so much to offer here but it's still an area under explored! I saw you all at Carry Farm and met Jenny and Mark up at the ark above Tighnabruich, just a magical experience 🙂

Yepp, not in this one though. But just finished a trip from Inverness to Glasgow on 28mm tyres and one gear, great fun. More on the Cyclingtips website.
