Ralph is watching and noticing how they look at each other and how nervous Charlotte is when she's around Xander.

We've talked about this quote and I love seeing all the words:
Charlotte to Augusta: If you have a chance to be with him, then seize it,
or you'll spend the rest of your life trying to forget what could have been...
Haunting words from Charlotte -- I'll date myself BIG TIME and say that the words almost remind me of "Some Enchanted Evening" in the musical "South Pacific": "Once you have found [him], Never let [him] go. Once you have found [him], Never let [him] go! " ❤🎵❤

Ralph may be nice in general, but in this case he's more like a nail in a shoe, he's always in the way...

Really puts down Charlotte's friends and how she experienced many different avenues of life.

Shame - Ralph is really just a small town boy and he doesn’t get that Charlotte is not a small town girl!!

Ralph’s keeps interrupting and I notice he always try’s to speak for Charlotte. Fine on the farm but not in polite society

Ralph è una palla al piede per Charlotte.

Unless Ralph is completely without his eyes and ears, he knows Charlotte doesn’t love him. He knows it’s useless, but wishing when they leave, Charlotte will forget Xander

While Charlotte spoke with Augusta, I got the impression that Charlotte was reflecting on her experience with Sidney and now with Alexander, on grief and betrayal on her own; nevertheless, I get the impression that Augusta did not tell Charlotte the whole tale of who she loves, but she should have. Following Edward's interaction with Augusta, I realized that Edward is beyond redemption or salvation, and that he is unwilling to change. When we first started the new season, I thought Ralph was extremely arrogant and nice, but he had no concept what genuine dedication is or what it is to lose someone you love.
During the second season of The Truest Still, I found myself wishing Sidney had sent her a letter in which he revealed his feelings for her and wished they had a different ending and he knows about the farmer and doesn't want her to limit her horizons of adventure by not stilling down, in her home, also following her heart.
Also, I wished that this episode had included a scenario in which Otis entered the room just as Georgiana announced her engagement to Duke, and then Charlotte, Otis, and Georgiana conversed with each other. I don't believe the episodes have been reviewed yet, and we are still seeking for episodes 5 and 6. I was hoped there would be more episodes to view. When the last episode of this television series airs on April 24, it will be the last time I watch it, and although I am looking forward to it and have high expectations for it, Sanditon, I will miss it.
Thank you for posting various segments of program video every week.

So much going on in this scene: Charlotte’s rather unconvincing ‘of course’ when Xander asks if she shares Ralph’s views about returning to Willingon. Charlotte’s advice to Augusta reflecting upon her own experiences perhaps? Xander unable to take his eyes off her wherever she is in the room and Ralph commenting on her being ill at ease around Xander and her denial…great stuff! 😊

Charlotte is not the type of young to agree with everything Ralph says. He is very much a bully, he should've left Sanditon a long time ago or not go at all.

I think I need to bite the bullet and get a free trial of britbox so that I can binge the last two episodes. The wait is agonizing!

Yes and when you get to the end, you will be sad that they rushed to finish it. It will leave you longing for more. This whole story and the perfect acting, gets under your skin and you will be thinking about them for a long time to come (that is if you have a romantic heart like mine)

@@shahnazotanian6486 Yep, I binged the rest last night. I do wish they had spent more time on the wedding ceremony, showed colbourne's vows and not just Charlotte's (also, who did Lady Lydia get engaged to?). Now we need a Regency Era family dramedy show, full of Colbourne family hijinks.

I agree wholeheartedly. We need a long series about Sanditon and all the character to be made for the next 30 years (2 series a week)!… I need an effective escape like this for the rest of my life so I can live vicariously through these wonderful love stories and gorgeous men🤓🤓🤓

@geeky_sasha6813 - Also, I would've liked A&C going back to Heyrick Park and Trafalgar House their happy news. Also C and Colbourne family going to tell her parents. And we never got to hear Leo call her Mother or Alexander call her Charlotte.

Wow! Xander went cold after watching Charlotte and Ralph dancing. You can see in his face how he’s jealous Augusta went to Charlotte for advice, but there are things a man doesn’t get - and Xander not wanting Edward around Augusta

I don't feel Alexander is jealous of the relationship between Augusta and Charlotte - just that he is concerned for Augusta's fate and wonders what Charlotte has advised her. Augusta is headstrong probably like his late wife Lucy. And he as her guardian, wants to insure her future is better than his was with his late wife.

Charlotte's advice was based on her own experiences and regrets. . Unfortunately, she didn't press Augusta as to who this suitor was. And a few scenes later we see her reaction when she finds out it's Edward. I'm sure if she knew that, her advice to Augusta would have been different.
I think Alexander was relieved Augusta and Charlotte talked, probably depending on Charlotte to give her good advice......

@@glee2397 I agree with your comments. Later on when they're about to set off in pursuit of Augusta...he asks Charlotte to accompany him, he said, "...because she listens to you". He's glad Charlotte is there to advise his niece...especially since she rejects just about everything he says to her.

@@cocoakid9976 I thought Augusta and Alexander's relationship was closer after their time in Bath but then she started acting like a teenager by pretending she has a headache so she can stay home and meet up with Edward, throwing it back at Alexander that she's not his daughter, meeting up with the 'bad boy' her uncle doesn't approve of. Alexander resorted to what a lot of parents do....grounding and yelling. He does try to call a truce later at the party, but she's determined to escape with Edward so she tells her uncle what he wants to hear.
Edward, who may have feelings for Augusta, went into his manipulative mode by telling her things that he's going to leave Sanditon, it's now or never, only way to be together is to escape, etc. He has no money so these are lies. Was he depending on Alexander to come after them? Did Augusta get her inheritance yet? Was he depending on that?
His big mistake was to approach Alexander about calling on Augusta at the shooting party in front of everyone. Should have doing more to demonstrate he was a different person.
