Very nice. I just purchased a R300 Lynskey disc frame. Brushed finish and etched graphics. Not as aggresive as the R500, but same quality. I will be using Giant SLR composite stem, bars and seat post. Shimano Ultegra R8000 grouo and Mavic Ksyrium SL Disc brake wheels. I may go with the new Continental 5000 S TL tires in 28mm for ride quality. Hoping to build end of August.
Thanks and congrats on the new bike. R300 frame is very similar to my Litespeed Cherohala interms of geometry and ride feel. They are super versatile anywhere from road, gravel, light singletrack or loaded up as bikepacking. Welcome to the Ti gang and hope your build is ready soon. Cheers
Wow, just wow, such a beautiful bike... I actually have a 2019 Helix Pro equiped with Ultegra grupo + Aeolus Comp wheels. I LOVE it. But your setup + bike frame geometry is simply perfect! I'm kind of a bit jealous now... ;))
NICE!! 👍👍 Very solid/STRONG looking bike! Two of the more 'modern' features on this ride that I wish my '99 Merlin had; the tighter rear triangle/lower 'hitting' on the seat tube, seat stays, and the now standard, larger head tube/1.5" steerer. (Mine has the 'ancient school' 1" steerer!) How much extra does Lynskey charge for a fully built to your measurements/sizing custom frame?? Also; how do you like the printed saddle?? Does it REALLY get rid of 'hot spots', and fit almost everyone without causing saddle sores/aches like all of the printed saddle manufacturers claim? Or did you buy it solely for the weight savings??
Hi David, thank you for sharing your bike; always good to hear from another Ti owner. I've been enjoying the aesthetic of this bike as well the ride quality so far except descending due to its aggressive geo which may take time to get used to. Three upgrades I made to the frame is the etched graphics $245 and Ti head badge $100. I bought this frame last year before they have their huge sales now, so the mill finish was a free upgrade. I've been using the Specialized power comp which is very similar to this Sworks Mirror in terms of shapes, and it feels fine but a little firmer compared to the Mirror. As for the Mirror, I've ridden ~10 miles in sweatpants and didn't feel any sore or needing to stop. I should have a review video on this one along with the Power Pro Mirror on my gravel soon.
Hi and many thaks for the beautiful video! Do you think, the frame in size 's' fits well for a 163 cm person with inseame 74 cm (without shoes)? Unfortunately I can 't find a retailer n Germany, so I have to order die Linskey directly vom the USA. Thank you!
Thank you. I think size small (NOT x-small) would fit you well given the height and inseam. Barefoot with inseam 74 cm will clear the top tube in size small with 1 - 2 inches (~5cm) room between your body(crotch) which is perfect. 1. The seat tube angle on this bike is a little slack (stretched out from head tube), I would NOT buy expensive seat post and stem just yet until I get it fitted (bike fit). 2. People at Lynskey do this for a living; I would Email/call them for size clarification. Hope that helps.
@@organicbikepacking7312 Thank you for your response. Can't wait for you riding review (hopefully you will do one.. haha).. I am tempted with the R500 as it has 'almost' the same geometry with my Giant TCR..
@Organic Bikepacking Hey. I love your videos. I just found you when I was searching titanium road bikes. Does the weight bother you? 9 kilos seems heavy when it comes to road bike. Thank you
@@Lyledagz hello thanks for stopping by. Weight is very subjective. Generally TI frames are around 3lbs. In short, I don’t race or need to ride fast most of the time, so the weight doesn’t bother me much. I do however like to climb, and all of my bikes seem fine. Hope that helps.
Hi, nice R500. is this really the Industrial Mill Finish? it looks like the Brushed & Etched finish. This is my possible next build pretty soon. @organicbikepacking
Hi, thanks. Congrats on the upcoming build. Yes this is the Industrial Mill Finish. Both the Mill and Brushed are VERY similar. Mill is random (no directional) patterns, where brushed is in-line. For reference, my seat post in this video is brushed finish (again very hard to tell).
@@organicbikepacking7312 Yup, i'm waiting for my R500 frame... got the free Brushed+Etched+Ti headbadge from the black friday deals. I'm trying to look for a 3d printed upper headset like the Allez sprint top cap, so it will be like semi integrated...
@@allanpavino8259 Interesting! please keep us updated how the "semi integrated" works if you happen to upgrade. One of the few things that bugs me on this bike/stem is I can't find fatter headset spacers to beef up the steer tube (for aesthetic).

love my OLD ti bike with thin straight tubes, will never update the frame but will add a new 12 speed wirless soon.
Nice, wireless has been enjoyable so far.

Gorgeous looking bike ! Wat would be the total weight of the bike?
Thank you. This is an updated video with weighing the bike at the end ua-cam.com/video/52WEF21T9uY/v-deo.html.
how much does it weigh? Also what bar tape is that? Thanks!
Congratulations! What is your bike size and weight?
Thank you. This is size small. I have a 29” inseam without shoes, and it fits well. Weigh is 9 kilos as is.

Pretty sure lynsky has some serious sales now! 😬
Haha they should.
