love your wardrobe everything is top quality and will last you a lifetime. going to japan in a few months and excited to pick up my first pair of iron hearts never had raw denim before
This was by far my favorite video from you, Cameron, because of the countryside. Essex is beautiful. I haven't been to England yet, but it's where my ancestors are from, so it's cool to see. We are alike regarding our taste in clothing-natural stuff. Like always, I appreciate it, thanks.
Overlaps a lot with my favorite things I own: Rolex Explorer, Viberg Service Boot, Le Mont Saint Michel Chore Coat, Leica MP! I’m going to try out Orslow. I also like Barbour, Alden, Midori, Liverano, Valstar, Coherence. I’ll look into your other videos.
Congratulations mate 👏 👶, I am 8 months into fatherhood and it is a wild beautiful ride. If yoy have any questions shoot them over, I think I have a spreadsheet somewhere if things to get.
@CameronO it is all going super well. The trade-off is your time in the day, and weeks get warped, so balance is hard with work and self. Having your tribe around to help out is very true. The pull back to Australia is getting bigger for us.
You Aussie mate? Where you located now? I hear you though. I have a load of friends who did just that from London during and post COVID. End game will eventually be Aus though ;)
Cameron, what model of Rays are they? I was going to get a pair of Wayfarers but with the thick arms I would have white stripes on my head. Yours look really good and have thin arms but still have the Wayfarer vibe.
Oh I actually got those 3Sixteen Vibergs for on sale for around $300 If I remember correctly. 3sixteen did a small sale on footwear I believe in the summer of 2021 to make room in their warehouse and basically had all their Vibergs at half price or below. If I remember correctly everything sold out within about an hour.
Damn! I was a few years late to those I think. Wasn't quite looking back then. How have they held up? Do you find the pull tab at the back useful or does it get in the way of your denim sitting right?
@@CameronO They've held up pretty well, also the pull tab is handy in a pinch but I normally use a shoe horn instead. Also the pull tabs don't really mess with the way slim jeans sit at the ankles in my experience, the pull tabs tend to sit pretty flat once jeans are on at least with this suede.
I convinced my Mrs to let me buy and wear dungarees when we learned we were expecting. Those extra pockets are great for nappies, dummies, rubber teething toys, etc, when you're out and about. That, and I can't wait until the baby gets her first pair of dungarees and we can dress the same. XD
Hahah i need to try some. I actually wear this Vetra chore coat a lot in spring and summer cause it has big pockets. I feel dungarees would be my vibe. Though not sure how I'd look in them.
@@CameronO Once you experience the comfort of not having a waistband or belt, you won't care how you look. They're my go-to for a casual pub evening, or when I know I'm having a big dinner at home. Throw an overshirt, vest or jacket over the top if you're self conscious going out.
@@CameronO Awesome, thanks man haha I never would've found that otherwise. Can't wait to snag a moleskin one eventually here in Canada! And congrats on the growing family! Also what size do you wear? I'm a fit 170lbs (77kg) at 5'9" (175cm) and my chest around is 107cm. Any info is greatly appreciated!
Re: boat shoes, have you ever thought about "camp mocs"? I think Sebago make some called Campsides, like Docksides. They seem to be pretty much the same as boat shoes but a bit more rugged and intended for the type of walk you did in this video
You know what, making this video got my thinking why I haven't looked for similar type shoes. Im now looking at people like Oak Street Bootmakers for their mocs and loafers. Something a bit more classy but still good for summer. Just no tassles ha!
First off congrats! If you’re really serious about finding an overbuilt flannel for your kid, one of the best brands I’ve found is Denim Dungaree from Japan. They’re not easy to find and it’s comically expensive for kids clothes but I’ve never regretted anything I got from them for my kid 🥲🫠 There used to be a retailer in the US that carried them called TricoField but it looks like they’re closed now. Cotton Sheep in San Francisco carries them but I haven’t seen the stuff on their online shop. Also worth checking out: Go 2 Hollywood and Fith (these are the other brands that tricofield used to carry)
I’m 4 kids in, ages 5 through 12…denim is a great choice for kids! Durable and easy to mend. Also kids Blundstones are the best shoe option we’ve found. We had one pair that got passed through all 4 kids. Young kids are super cheap, so keep enjoying your fun money while you can 😂. Congratulations!
Always find your videos a bit creepy as you have all the same gear as me. Oxblood Red Wing Chukkas did me a fantastic turn over a decade and also had re-soled once (looked new once done). Mocs - loved the design but I couldn't pack into hand luggage or drive with them so they got churned after a few years. Ecru jeans are the way forward. Orslow are amazing - have the washed fatigues, over-shirt, chambray and t's.
Best advice for kids clothing is go cheap early on. Second hand is good too, but honestly they outgrow and spit up on so many pieces that now is not the time to “invest” in the good stuff.
My advice would be as a father of 2 is buy cheap t shirts. I have lost count of how many times my daughters have yanked and pulled my neck lines when getting cuddles etc. Had a nice one for about 20mins before it was all stretched and misshapen haha. Congrats tho. Greatest feeling in the world being a father and everything else just seems irrelevant after having them
Congrats on the nipper. 4 months in myself. They’re cheap at first - your Mrs will feed her for free. I’m sure you have the essentials sorted, but I will recommend a Rockit. It’s a motorised weight in the shape of a rocket that you attach to baby’s pram and it rocks the pram gently, sending them straight to sleep. Essential for going out in the early months - if you want to feel human again. Good luck to you both with the delivery!
Thanks and congrats to you too. Kat read these comments and immediately said she had heard great things about Rockit, so thank you. firmly on our list now.
@@CameronO No, thank you for the video on the IH Slubby Type 3. Picked one up last week from R&H. I love it, particularly how the weave lets the breeze through. Should be a great denim jacket for year-round wear, with a little layering in winter.
Looser fitting jeans. I used to wear the ironheart 777 and 555. Now with 3 kids, all about the 888. Oh and get ready for better fades. Nothing makes you wear your jeans harder than a toddler or 6yo.
Congratulations on your pending adventures as a father. Nothing compares. Great episode!!
Thanks Bill!

Thanks for the video! What is the color on those Sebago Docksides?
Thank you so much! They are 'Portland Blue Nite Leather'
Always enjoy your videos Cameron. Good luck with the new arrival!
Cheers John, appreciate it!

Cameron! Nick’s makes boots for babies!
Oh wow.. that is crazy.. $545 though for a few months wear. This kid will send me broke haha

Just think about those raw denim toddler crawling around fades.

@Cameron O the boy arrived today!
You won’t regret buying the camera when the baby arrives. You’ll be ordering plenty of film! Memories 🙏
I've already started. £17 for 1 Portra 400 roll. If the kid doesn't send me broke the film will haha
