@@Dantarn i mean...the experience is still there and you can't say all the free cosmetics and customization options will go null when a new monster comes. Most games do the same, but take money for each content drop that makes the previous content null. There's really no way of updating a game like this without making some previous stuff seem weaker

I want to see an event quest naned Anger management. Its Raging Brachy, Seething Bazel, Savage Devilhjo and Furious Rajang. In the arena at the same time.
At the same time is not possible, the game can only process 3 monsters at once, but we can definately make pairs: 1st Round: Seething Bazel and Raging Brachy. Nuke fest engaged. 2nd Round: Savage Deviljho and Furious Rajang. A classic.

Though I'm guessing with the first Black Dragon being released now, we can pretty much confirm that the rest will come in later updates. With Alatreon in May, the other ones would be during the summer or early Fall at the least. Judging by how the MHW team likes to release updates during certain periods where holidays and breaks occur.

They are the pinnacle of game development teams ,able to balance so many aspects of game design so well it makes me believe they are godamn robots. I don't even blame the weapon design team honestly, they had so much shit to design and the credits say it only consists of like 4 people. @@scarlet1508 True. His hitzones and frame-data are extremely unfair compared to older incarnations. He had so many punishable moves back in MH4U and MHGen, but now you're lucky to even get good damage in when he uses his laser beam.
I actually love how, Capcom want to benefit from MHW and yet all the paid content they make is non-essential to the actual hunting. It's all the cosmetic and social stuff. I'm glad they recognise we all paid for the base game + iceborne and leave the monetization out of the core hunting experience and just stick it on the social/ cosmetic stuff, for those people who have some extra cash or really, really want to support the game. In my eyes they are standing out as consumer friendly amid the tide of AAA greed right now. Very refreshing.

Given that Iceborne has been declared the last and only expansion for MHW, what’s likely going to happen is that the next game in the franchise (MH6, World 2, whatever they decide to call it) will come out super late this year or sometime in the first half of next year, which, like World, will only contain up to high rank. Then, they will release an expansion for it (most likely in the latter half of 2022) which will have Master Rank and a bunch of new content, just like with Iceborne. Don’t you worry, Monster Hunter has been going strong for a decade and a half, 16 years now, and we will continue to get more Monster Hunter content :3
In case World/Iceborne is your first mh game, the way they work is they release a base game, that gets a year of free dlc, then an expansion comes out with g/master rank, they support that with another year of free dlc, then they move on to the next game.

Between MH making a lot of money in game sales and merchandising, and Ryozo Tsujimoto (son of Capcom's CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto) leading the series from that point onwards, the main body of Capcom kinda lets the MH teams do whatever they please, so long as they continue to succeed as they did, which was a big reason why MH never had much of a truly awkward phase like the rest of Capcom's franchises have over the last decade. 2: Monster Hunter has been an annual franchise since the beginning in 2004, for over 15 years. Iceborne is functionally another game, because like MHG, Freedom Unite, 3U, 4U, and GU, it reintroduces G rank and a bunch of new content. The main reason we might not see a new game for another few years would be having to make a bunch of new HD models and skeletons, because they can't just rework old assets like before. However, with Frontier shutting down, and the mainline, portable, and Frontier teams basically all fusing together at this point, they have a bit more manpower to possibly get it done. I suspect that after Alatreon, they might make a few more AT elders, and maybe one or two new monsters before probably ending it off with Fatalis, or possibly all three Fatalisi monsters, and then release the new game a few months after. I'm not saying this is a sure thing, but MH has been an annual franchise thus far, and I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to continue that trend. I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if they don't either, but don't be shocked if, after Alatreon drops, they announce plans for the next game to come out either super late 2020 or during the first half of 2021 :O

Finally! Alatreon deserves some justice, his aoe attack was really dull (the ice rain). He needed a big flashy attack to be on par with his awesomeness. Him and the Brachy family are my favorite monsters, now I just need the Magalas to complete my top 3.
When I started to play MHW back in 2018, I didnt like it. Being big fan of fast paced combat in games like Ninja Gaiden or Nioh, I couldnt get into fights in MHW, which I considered very clunky. I put it away three times, but always came back again just to try to understand, what other players see so great about it. Then something clicked and since then I already put 1100 hours into this beatiful game. MHW sits firmly in top three most played games in my 30 years long gaming career. And amount of content Capcom is adding constantly to the game for free is absolutely epic and unprecendented. Thank you so much Capcom!
It's so rare to see devs so passionate & dedicated to their own game, and so loyal to their fanbase. They're keep adding more content, perfecting the game wih every update - and all of it for free. MHW is not just a game anymore, it's a lifetime experience! I will always continue to support it.

Alatreon…..The perfect Black Dragon! Hes able to control all the elements. He was beast in MHW Tri and MHGU. Oh how we all missed him. I hope we can either see Fatalis, Valstrax or Amatsu after him for fan returning favs. Im soooooo excited. This is why I love the Capcom MH devs. People would have gladly paid money to see Alatreon and he came back for free. @@CallMeMebe Feels bad man, HOWEVER!! hope isnt lost, you can still fight the high rank kulve solo and get better chances of drops, and theres a PC mod that allows you to craft ANY of the weapons you desire by using kulve materials, you need gems for each one, just be sure to install it, play offline, craft what you can, save, then uninstall the game before going back online, dont want capcom getting suspicious :P
After the success and dedication of Capcom to this game, I bought every single new title of them on ps4. Thank you so mucho Capcom for showing the world how a gaming company should be!!!

Damn, I am really hyped for this! :D What an amazing game and amazing developers. Would definitely buy that Paolumu pendant. xD Few things I wish to see, I kinda wish there's more we can do in our rooms. I'd love to purchase those room themes but there's really not much to do there. I wish we can access the smithy there and we can actually eat there. Would love to see the weapon, unique and other poses be available as Guild Card poses too. They're just too good not to be used in guild cards. Also, master rank versions of monsters that only has a variant on master rank. I seriously miss Bazel as an invader.
Here’s something I want to put out there. I prefer to use the Item Bar as opposed to the Radial Menu. So I feel it would be useful if we could use something like L3 when editing the Item Bar to make certain items not appear on it. Typically, I have Mega Potions and materials to make more when I run out. If I could make the normal Potions invisible to the item bar (as well as Herbal Medicine/Antidotes and Palico Gadgets that I may not use) it would save time when trying to get to the items that I will use more often and I’ll be able to hunt more effectively. I don’t know if the devs will see this but I think it would be a cool and useful feature.
Capcom adds so much free content, then tacks on "Oh, and here's some completely inconsequential cosmetics you can buy if you want." Like nobody's gonna buy a Paolumu balloon for their weapon. You kidding me? Of course I am! You all do so much for the player base I'm more than happy to throw a few extra dollars your way!

Ah good times. I remember either sleep bombing or cluster cheesing Alatreon. Also remember braving Arena Quests to get that one headgear to cluster cheese. I also remember the event quests where the Alatreon horns had a chance of dropping without being broken. But man, Ala was a pain in that quest.

I actually love how, Capcom want to benefit from MHW and yet all the paid content they make is non-essential to the actual hunting.
It's all the cosmetic and social stuff. I'm glad they recognise we all paid for the base game + iceborne and leave the monetization out of the core hunting experience and just stick it on the social/ cosmetic stuff, for those people who have some extra cash or really, really want to support the game. In my eyes they are standing out as consumer friendly amid the tide of AAA greed right now. Very refreshing.
And you know I even buy those hairstyles, gestures, and furnitures haha XD
thats because capcom thinks esports crap means big $ thus the fighting games get butchered for monetization yet MH has been one of the top franchises for capcom if not certain whole game systems in japan and abroad over the years and they dare not mess with it because of the good faith the fan base has with them and because of just how ridiculously massive sales always are for it

Given that Iceborne has been declared the last and only expansion for MHW, what’s likely going to happen is that the next game in the franchise (MH6, World 2, whatever they decide to call it) will come out super late this year or sometime in the first half of next year, which, like World, will only contain up to high rank. Then, they will release an expansion for it (most likely in the latter half of 2022) which will have Master Rank and a bunch of new content, just like with Iceborne. Don’t you worry, Monster Hunter has been going strong for a decade and a half, 16 years now, and we will continue to get more Monster Hunter content :3
In case World/Iceborne is your first mh game, the way they work is they release a base game, that gets a year of free dlc, then an expansion comes out with g/master rank, they support that with another year of free dlc, then they move on to the next game.

1: Since about Monster Hunter 2, the MH teams have had a lot of independence from Capcom. Between MH making a lot of money in game sales and merchandising, and Ryozo Tsujimoto (son of Capcom's CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto) leading the series from that point onwards, the main body of Capcom kinda lets the MH teams do whatever they please, so long as they continue to succeed as they did, which was a big reason why MH never had much of a truly awkward phase like the rest of Capcom's franchises have over the last decade.
2: Monster Hunter has been an annual franchise since the beginning in 2004, for over 15 years. Iceborne is functionally another game, because like MHG, Freedom Unite, 3U, 4U, and GU, it reintroduces G rank and a bunch of new content. The main reason we might not see a new game for another few years would be having to make a bunch of new HD models and skeletons, because they can't just rework old assets like before. However, with Frontier shutting down, and the mainline, portable, and Frontier teams basically all fusing together at this point, they have a bit more manpower to possibly get it done.
I suspect that after Alatreon, they might make a few more AT elders, and maybe one or two new monsters before probably ending it off with Fatalis, or possibly all three Fatalisi monsters, and then release the new game a few months after. I'm not saying this is a sure thing, but MH has been an annual franchise thus far, and I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to continue that trend. I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if they don't either, but don't be shocked if, after Alatreon drops, they announce plans for the next game to come out either super late 2020 or during the first half of 2021 :O

Finally! Alatreon deserves some justice, his aoe attack was really dull (the ice rain). He needed a big flashy attack to be on par with his awesomeness.

When I started to play MHW back in 2018, I didnt like it. Being big fan of fast paced combat in games like Ninja Gaiden or Nioh, I couldnt get into fights in MHW, which I considered very clunky. I put it away three times, but always came back again just to try to understand, what other players see so great about it. Then something clicked and since then I already put 1100 hours into this beatiful game. MHW sits firmly in top three most played games in my 30 years long gaming career. And amount of content Capcom is adding constantly to the game for free is absolutely epic and unprecendented. Thank you so much Capcom!
It's so rare to see devs so passionate & dedicated to their own game, and so loyal to their fanbase. They're keep adding more content, perfecting the game wih every update - and all of it for free. MHW is not just a game anymore, it's a lifetime experience! I will always continue to support it.
I've never seen a game with so much love put in to it so consistently. Every developer needs to step back and watch the MH team

Alatreon…..The perfect Black Dragon! Hes able to control all the elements. He was beast in MHW Tri and MHGU. Oh how we all missed him. I hope we can either see Fatalis, Valstrax or Amatsu after him for fan returning favs. Im soooooo excited. This is why I love the Capcom MH devs. People would have gladly paid money to see Alatreon and he came back for free. @@CallMeMebe Feels bad man, HOWEVER!! hope isnt lost, you can still fight the high rank kulve solo and get better chances of drops, and theres a PC mod that allows you to craft ANY of the weapons you desire by using kulve materials, you need gems for each one, just be sure to install it, play offline, craft what you can, save, then uninstall the game before going back online, dont want capcom getting suspicious :P

Few things I wish to see, I kinda wish there's more we can do in our rooms. I'd love to purchase those room themes but there's really not much to do there. I wish we can access the smithy there and we can actually eat there. Would love to see the weapon, unique and other poses be available as Guild Card poses too. They're just too good not to be used in guild cards. Also, master rank versions of monsters that only has a variant on master rank. I seriously miss Bazel as an invader.

The expansion that keeps on giving!
Here’s something I want to put out there.
I prefer to use the Item Bar as opposed to the Radial Menu. So I feel it would be useful if we could use something like L3 when editing the Item Bar to make certain items not appear on it. Typically, I have Mega Potions and materials to make more when I run out. If I could make the normal Potions invisible to the item bar (as well as Herbal Medicine/Antidotes and Palico Gadgets that I may not use) it would save time when trying to get to the items that I will use more often and I’ll be able to hunt more effectively. I don’t know if the devs will see this but I think it would be a cool and useful feature.

Ah good times. I remember either sleep bombing or cluster cheesing Alatreon. Also remember braving Arena Quests to get that one headgear to cluster cheese. I also remember the event quests where the Alatreon horns had a chance of dropping without being broken. But man, Ala was a pain in that quest.
