Still think, pubs were never as good since the smoking ban. Smoking Ban was the start of all this extreme PC Wokism. Half the pubs have gone since the ban, don’t smoke myself.
As an ex smoker i wish there had been a law banning it in my day!! The amount of money i wasted by it literally going up in smoke is beyond sad. Smoking is bad for your health and bad for your bank balance. It serves no purpose.
Smoking is not banned completely. There are smoking areas in most pubs and restaurants. Also anybody can smoke outside in a public place. And no, there should not be a ban outright it would be authotarian.
I am a smoker so I'm biased and clearly looking to justify it 😅 but I don't think nicotine is bad for you: I think the added chemicals are very bad for you as are the extortionate taxes paid on your purchase. Word is smokers fared better during the big cough of the last few years...
I've opened a few cigarettes to see what's actually in them, there was a lot of sliced sticks and spongey inner stalk in them. I found a piece of newspaper once and pieces of the plastic, foil and card off a cigarette box a few times in them. I think there should be smoking and non-smoking pubs. At least the smoke covered up the smell of guinness farts, now pubs smell like a slurry pit that someone sprayed a can of lynx over 😂
I am a habitual smoker, chain smoker nearly at times, tobacco. I d rather not smoke but haven't given up properly yet + i m smokeing 30odd years. But there is people who smoke occassionly and have no addiction. There was a time i was smokeing the contraband tobacco; it wasn't duty free tobacco it was illegally made tobacco + it did a bad job om lungs, so if thats the only tobacco available, the black market stuff, that be bad.Apart from that if they start with tobacco prohibition where will it lead to alcohol for instant, more than one beef burger a week cause thats bad for You. Thats my thoughts on it Val
Drinking from plastic bottles is far worse for health that cigarettes...and far worse for the environment than glass bottles...it would be more beneficial to everyone if they got rid of plastic bottles and let the kids reclaim the 10 p deposit on glass bottles like it used to be instead of gouging people with the current tax just to cover the costs of incinerators for Panda waste
The recycle bin charges are going up up up,Why? The new recycle scam is costing them,go figure how many times do we have to pay for rubbish...? Glass bottles yes.
