    Cant tell you how grateful I am that you put this video out with great explanations. I've not long started tiger crane and we went into lockdown soon after. As we know, resources for our art are few and far between. I will use this video to help me practice. Thanks again 🙏🏻

    The warrior has a very good amplitude! Correct breathing! The fighter's chest just says so - "URGENT COME TO TRAINING!" The video has positive energy - 5 balls!

    This is very similar to the Goju Ryu variant of San Chen. Is there a book or article on this history of your style?

      Our crane system was actually what was taken to Okinawa and developed into Karate, if you look into Five Ancestor Fist history you will see the links.

    Good explanations, but I think you went a little heavy on the background music.

    Thankyou so much for sharing this. How does 'your' system relate to Shuang Yang? From what I've seen on your channel, it isn't so much into punching, more slapping perhaps? And does it have a staff form? There's a brief shot of Kristina using a medium length stick -- at least shorter than a bo. My interest is in sticks. I'm too old to start from scratch and roll about on the ground for the sake of being martial. So much of what I see on your channel reminds me of Filipino Eschima/Kali. While that system develops the footwork and elbow and wrist work, it is not core focused on the thoracic region. All that White (& Whooping) Crane stuff is a surprise for someone who started studying Jojutsu. Kali also has open hand slaps -- I think that is sensible combat. (I'm based in Brisbane, Australia. )

      Hi Dave, thank you for your comment. The two systems that I teach are Fujian Tiger Crane Combination (Which is basically White Crane with a flavour of Taizu), and Shuang Yang, which is a Southern Shaolin White Crane Soft Fist. We have the full range of Shaolin Weapons, the first one being a staff cut down to eyebrow eye height of the practitioner. We also have the full range of strikes, open hand, punch etc. But I find in sparring without equipment it is safer to slap lightly then use punching.

    Was it "San Zhan" from WuZuQuan?
    There're many versions from those kung fu. Mine is Gojuryu Karate and I saw another one from "YongChun BaiHe Quan".

    • @ShkarSharif-KFZ
      @ShkarSharif-KFZ  3 роки тому +1

      Our system is a combination of YongChun BaiHe Quan and Taizu Quan. San Zhan is a form taught in most styles from Fujian Province, China.

      @@ShkarSharif-KFZ I have a question about San Zhan. I'm concerned about Breathing & Qigong since I just starting pracitsing Gojuryu Karate. Will it become handy if I'm going to practise other style like "BaJiQuan" or "BaGuaZhang"?

      Different traditions have different methods of internal cultivation so the best thing to do is ask your current teacher their opinion on cross training. They will be able to best guide you.

      Seem like that, Uechiryu's San Zhan mainly on Open hand but mine is Gojuryu which mainly on close hand.
      PS (ref. From DVD "Great Journey of Karate") I'm the rookie about Kung Fu, please correct me if I'm wrong.
