      Yes, White Crane type of hooking Tan Sao, crane beak strikes, hanging leg crane posture, if this isn't specifically called White Crane, then it's some other Fujian boxing that is closely related.

      Currently, there aren’t any direct examples of the specific exercises and movements from the course that I can point you to. However, if you take a look at my other UA-cam videos, you’ll get a good sense of my teaching style and how I move. This will give you a flavour of the approach and the principles I teach. 🙂

      @@ShkarSharif-KFZ ok will you be teaching the shaking exercises like water off a dog’s back and shaking with the pole, like you do in one video? Thanks for the reply!

      @mathmusicstructure yes, dog shaking water of it’s back is one of the lessons, and I introduce the pole shaking but don’t go into detail on the pole in this course because it’s a more advanced practise that is outside the scope of this course. 🙂

    Great video. I am also of the opinion that you can only understand Kung Fu on a higher level if you at least allow a certain spiritual development. Kung Fu goes much deeper than the pure form/ shape suggests on the surface.

    • @ShkarSharif-KFZ
      @ShkarSharif-KFZ 28 днів тому

      What a great question! I believe that beginners to a system would be best served by sticking to one while allowing their body to change and adapt to meet the needs of that specific system. As training progresses, the placement of the elbows and other structural points becomes less about physical positioning and more about internal alignment, connections, fullness, and compression. For me, when practicing Taijiquan, the internal engine I use places my body into Taijiquan shapes. When I practice White Crane, the internal engine puts my body into White Crane shapes. It’s not something I have to consciously think about; it’s as if my body just knows what to do and where to go. Moreover, Taijiquan and White Crane have a shared heritage, so the systems aren’t as different as one might think, in both elbows are sunk and connected to the knees for example. 🙂

      @@ShkarSharif-KFZyes I agree the White Crane system has had an influence on other martial arts like a stone dropped in to a pound the ripples reach wide and far even to Japan🙂. The elbow thing is a bit like hsing i and yi chuan one style in the other out? Thank you for your reply. ☯️

    Why is it not a single person who's primary style is Kung Fu has ever won a ranked MMA match nor beaten aranked Muay Thai kickboxer at kickboxing? When they do try to compete, they end up breaking the rules and just groin kicking Baukaw 30 times in one round, and still lose the match. Although that's sort of Baukaw's fault, after all, you're supposed to leg check vs a groin kick too. lol.

    • @ShkarSharif-KFZ
      @ShkarSharif-KFZ Місяць тому

      Probably because doing a mix of boxing and wrestling will give you a much better combat skillset for competition then Kung Fu ever will.

    Excellent! Yes,there are easier and more direct ways if one is only interested in self defence. I find the development of body, mind and spirit that is the kung fu tradition. ( I do love the martial aspect but like you said there are so much more). I am on the first week in your online course and I really appreciate your way of teaching.

      Actually. If trained right it doesn't take that long. You can have first good base results after one year of training. Those self defense system often give the Illusion of working. But can collapse as easy as wrong trained kung fu when it comes to real application.
