+Carnenwhitehead as a Talavera collector, thank you so much for spending some time in the Talavera area. They are so under appreciated and never get enough attention for the amount of work that goes into making them.
OMG I'v lived so close to this nursery for 20+ years and have never been there. Always tell myself to go but just haven't taken the time. Perhaps you are my neighbor. So glad because now that I'm subscribed I can see what actually grow in my area.
Whitfield Nursery is truly amazing!! I want to live there...YES! I WANT TO SEE VIDEOS OF MORE PLACES LIKE THIS! I am sitting in on a dark, rainy winter day in hope I make it til spring!
That is the first time I’ve seen a cylindrical Sansevieria and the Barrel cactus with all the pups was amazing! Wish I lived in a climate like yours. It’s 32degrees here in Tn.
Very nice nursery, thanks for sharing. I bought one of the super atom last year - beautiful when full and promoted as one of the "plants of steel" but it had a very short life.
Wow Whitfield has pretty good prices! I don’t live near a Whitfield but I do live near a summer winds nursery and I love it there. I almost bought a variegated St. John’s cape because the weather has it turning pinkish. Every time I go back and struggle with myself and it’s only like $40 somethings wrong with me. Lol.
What a great place this is. That is a bargain price for that type of Kalanchoe (they are expensive in canada) I LOVE the iron pot. How unique. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed this. :)
I love the treehouse planter and sound of water fountain. Congrats on community tab. I look forward to the day I can get one as well. Great tour. Thanks for sharing 👍😊.
Hi Carmen: Wow!!! The variety you have in the states is unvelievable. I am in Canada and we are lucky if we have 1/10the the variety you have. I wou;d have bought the elephant if i had the choice!. Just remeber me when you go shopping the next time. Keep on shopping and buying.
Most of them are in Fox Farm's Ocean Forest soil. But, I'm also going to try De La Tank's Soil that Becca De La Plants created with Tanks Green Stuff. I'm anxious to see how it works.
Mosquitos volentarily feed the fish. Goldfish, koi and shubunkin are all vorious eaters of mosquito larva and if there are not enough of those, they will snatch the female as she's laying right off the surface. Small ponds with filters are always over stocked with fish for your viewing pleasure and they still require supplimental feeding as there are just not going to be enough mosquitos to go around so don't hesitate to put one of those large Oriental pots that can be made into a goldfish pond, with a small bubblier, a lotus and a small 'for pots' water Lily. Hours of pretty underwater 'flowers' to view and tame to take a few fish flakes from your hand.
I wish you would just slow down a bit. The camera is just finding it's focus and you are moving on and I'm on the verge of motion sickness. I love your taste in plants and want to really savour them as well as get an education in succulents. You've introduced me to so many I've never seen before.
I will definitely keep that in mind George. In some of the nurseries there's so much to cover and I don't want to make the video too long. It's a fine balance I guess. Thanks for watching!

I love them Evie. You're right there's so much work involved, but each one is beautiful and unique! 👏

Oh btw, Sometimes your prices are much cheaper than Cali. I’m tempted to go on a field trip to Arizona 😝💜🌸🌺
Yes, our prices can be less sometimes. The last time I was in LA I picked up some plants that are harder to find here. 😀
Lovely video update. Thanks a lot for sharing! Liked and subscribed! By the way do you keep chickens also?
Thanks so much for the like and sub! No, I don't keep chickens, but they had some there at the nursery.
