@tartali2956 I'm pretty sure y2k is one big influence in Harajuku. I mean, y2k influence never really died down there, tho they have a lot of style as well. Harajuku always put more emphasis on recycling stuff and layering, they known to be less about the body, thats why in harajuku its always like "go big or go home". But its true that the colors and makeup are very much what I know of 2000s harajuku fashion. Especially those random accessories, small stickers on the face, even those teeth accessories are like a mild version of "decora", a sub style in harajuku. Its like a perfect balance of kpop, y2k and harajuku

I'm not sure but I feel like the colourful outfits in Shooting Star are a nod to Harajuku fashion, specifically the Decora style from the early 2000s which was mega-colourful and very "more is more" with tons of face stickers and accessories being the main point. It's cool to see those older, very japanese trends re-interpreted through the modern lens of Y2K being back in fashion Also you ATE with those transitions come on editing!!!

Shooting star and Left right are my favorite styling eras this year. The blue hair on the members are actually wigs. The RnB grafetti outfits are my favorite. My second favorite outfits are the cutesy/ kitschy outfits. I wanted that Hello kitty shirt. The makeup is so amazing and the hairstyles are unreal. The matching white shirt and baggy jeans outfits with bucket hats are my favorite outfits in the left right era. Vernnieyong did videos on Shooting star and Left right, I'm so glad that you did a video are both the styling eras.
yk, I kinda freak out bcs I used to comment the very similiar thing, but on a different gg. It was a japanese group called Flower on a song "Nettaigyo no Namida". They have disbanded in 2019, but I still havent seen anything that beautiful for a gg. I know I'm probably spoiling the mood, but if u interested, please check them out

I hope you continue to react to XG , what impresses me the most is they went for 6 weeks to music shows, and in every show was a different look and "theme", all the work behind this performances fashion is insane, they manage to bring them together as a group but still making sure that each member stand out on her own way, just amazing work from the creative team 👏👏 if you are up for it, it would be nice if you check and rank those performance looks, also I don't know if you have done this before but a deep dive into XG "daily" fashion sense would be fun, IMO they have one of the most interesting looks I have seen in "idol groups", they are not afraid of color, they used a lot of patterns and textures, is clear to me fashion is more than "to look good", they express themselves in fashion... so I would love to hear your opinion ! , and sorry for the suggestions but you are the second channel I have seen talking about XG fashion so I have to take a chance lol 😅

I think Jurin and Harvey are already known for being a model before, so thats probably why they have a lot more personality when it comes to fashion. Oh, are you familiar with japanese fashion or perhaps any j-artists? bcs a lot of them really fits your description. A lot of their musician (or any art workers) have a very distinct look and very dedicated to it. Japanese fashion was known to be expressive and extra but that also means that their fashion sense is less desireable for the west. XG on the other hand, I think, is really good on having both trends. They really knows how to have fun with it

They're just too gorgeous. I love the bold block colouring. I'm obsessed with the makeup throughout the MV. The make artists created a masterpiece. My dad used to make me wear long johns along with my underclothes, my actual clothes, and then my winter gear to school in the winter so Ik a thing or two about layers and I never liked it. But I’m pleasantly surprised and happy that we haven’t gotten there yet completely (I’m choosing to ignore recent (G)I-DLE Queencard stage outfits for argument sake). I’m so not ready to relive that time lol

The stylists really outdid themselves for those mv's, definitely top two stylings of the year for me right now. There is however one giant miss. It's not a set of look or an individual look even, it's one single piece of clothing. In Shooting Star, the first cute looks, the fluffy trousers Cocona is wearing has me wondering what happened there. It makes her look as if she's wearing a diaper. I'm a Cocona bias, so it kinda irks me. The top individual look of this whole comeback though has to be Maya's orange and brown outfit. It is just absolutely perfect!
yes it's a giant fuzzy diaper with BABY in giant letters on it & it's iconic lol. Coco rocked it so well that very, very few reactors even seem to notice so I don't think that's a miss at all. She even did live performances in it (tho tbh as old-soul as Cocona is, I bet her initial reaction to the proposal was priceless)

The stylists really outdid themselves for those mv's, definitely top two stylings of the year for me right now. There is however one giant miss. It's not a set of look or an individual look even, it's one single piece of clothing. In Shooting Star, the first cute looks, the fluffy trousers Cocona is wearing has me wondering what happened there. It makes her look as if she's wearing a diaper. I'm a Cocona bias, so it kinda irks me. The top individual look of this whole comeback though has to be Maya's orange and brown outfit. It is just absolutely perfect!
yes it's a giant fuzzy diaper with BABY in giant letters on it & it's iconic lol. Coco rocked it so well that very, very few reactors even seem to notice so I don't think that's a miss at all. She even did live performances in it (tho tbh as old-soul as Cocona is, I bet her initial reaction to the proposal was priceless)
@@thedhev Taste is subjective, so no wrong answers here (personally I love opaque tights, just don't tell George lol), but the fluffy diaper isn't floating my boat. The only upside I can find is that it reminds of this cartoon called Calimero which was full of cuteness!
