I’ve found that if u have a little “bulge “ at jawline, place contour only along the bulge edge to recede that part so it is in-line with the rest of jawline
Brows are hard are for everyone. I appreciate that you do them on camera, so many beauty influencers don't. We learn from you and that's why your channel is so great! ❤
I just wanted to say - you're super attractive and pretty and sophisticated in make up, but without - you're downright stunning, you're so naturally beautiful, and you look so much younger( that's a statement and a opiion, not judgment!). Clean girl chic without the make up! ❤️❤️❤️
Great video and tips. I followed each of your steps as I did my make up today! This is the results: my daughter who’s 16 yrs old asks me: you look like you got a facelift or something? Something about your face has changed! Yes, it’s all of Stephanie’s make up tips! Thank you so much for making the video! 👌👏❤️😉
Thank you! For showing how bronzer is actually supposed to be used! It literally defies logic to put bronzer in the hollow of your cheek near the hairline. Bronzer is made to mimic the bronzy glow of having been in the sun for a bit!
I'm 68 with a round face and hooded eyes. Because I'm a rebel and sometimes messy, I do my eyes first. Based on info from Wayne Goss placement, there is a line between the corner of my eye to end of my eyebrow where no eyeshadow shall pass. ;-) I use a folded, lightly moist cotton round, to clean up anything that is "out of bounds." For blush I use the iris of my eye as the start/stop line. Blush has not touched my apples for a good long time. A cool taupe contour is lightly applied under the cheek bone but not going all the way to the iris of my eye. Like you, it is all about lift, lift, lift. Excellent lip lift demo. Lisa Eldridge does something similar.
Hi Stephanie! You are so wonderful at describing and showing techniques. Wow! I thought I had learned all your tricks, but seeing this all together today is so crazy helpful. Thank you! Going to watch this again soon and try each step. Happy Sunday! 💗
Another trick I've been using is using a dark red or purple eyeshadow and rubbing it in right above my top lip especially right in the middle, it gives the cutest youthful look, I absolutly LOVE it. I saw it on a tiktok tutorial and it's changed my life. Sometimes I just do that with no lipstick it looks so youthful and natural
Such a great video! I use pretty much all of these techniques on my 55 yo face and hooded eyes. I also love those Tarte lip products, but wish they would make some truly cool shades - they all come off warm on my fair, cool skin (and lavender lips) What I love most is you’re not really trying to change anything, just make the most of what is there, which is beautiful, which is what I think every day makeup should be. 🌸
OMG I needed this video! I was just saying to one of my gf’s the other day that I’m just kinda stuck in a rut with doing my makeup and I’m doing things I used to do when I was younger that just seem to not work anymore and making me feel really self conscious. Muscle memory is real and pulling that brow tail down always frustrates me because I just do it automatically! That lip trick with the plumper and then the liner in the corner is literally everything I need right now! I’m still a winged liner person but I’ve been really working on the technique to pull it up higher and extend it upward and now I realize because I keep pulling the brow tail down I’m not following the right line to get it high enough. 💖
This is a brilliant video, I turned 39 on Friday and I've started to make some of the changes you have in this video and it really does make a difference
This was your very best tips and tricks video..everything on the don’t side I’m guilty of doing..at least I know where to start to correct my issues and have a more youthful look..thank you so much this was awesome !!!
I just applied my make-up, step-by-step, along with your excellent tutorial (here). OMG: I can’t believe the difference. My eyes, face & mouth are more lifted, and every thing blends seamlessly. Your bottom-of-the-eye-first and and the blush-in-the-L tricks are game-changers. You are one of my favorite UA-camrs: knowledgeable, thoughtful, down-to-earth, hardworking and honest. I love that you are committed to identifying products that work, regardless of price point; each one of your videos is carefully developed and is absolutely worth viewing. Love your aesthetic and your personality. Thank you!
Steph. You are really a genius. You are my go to gal over 40, even though we don't have the same coloring or face shape at all. I learn so much from you, and you do talk about different face shapes, which I love. You are a blessing!
Stephanie, getting old(er) sure does suck. These are all such fantastic ideas. Thanks for the tips and tricks to ease the transition to the fountain of youth 😀 😄 ❤
I have a long face and if I didn’t apply my blush horizontally (especially with the correct placement) I would look really unbalanced. Glad to hear you apply your blush horizontally. Loved this video Stephanie. Thank you.
Great idea for a video!! Thank you for sharing this info with us. I’ll definitely be incorporating the eye and lip “flick” to make them look more upturned 💄 It’s gonna take a whole lotta contouring for these jowls…lol! Thanks again-you rock!!
Wow! This is a real game-changer for me, I'm going to try these tips. I'm a lot older than you, but I think that it still applies to me - maybe even more!
I really enjoyed the eye makeup tutorial. I always have trouble with my eyes looking downturned and have never found a tutorial I could follow and understand the reasoning for the choices made. I'm going to try these techniques tomorrow and hopefully getting this to be my everyday routine.
As much as I’ve learned in recent years about make up, this video has actually helped me the most. The little tiny hints of the things that you do to just make slight changes is perfect. Thank you
I also add a primer spray before I apply foundation and after I add powder to set the foundation. I usena setting spray after I do the finishing powder. This helps to make the makeup look more natural. Thanks for applying lip balm. Some UA-camrs don't do this and their lips look very dry and ashy throughout their makeup application video ans Inhave to try not to look at their lips during their video. I got some good ideas from your video. Thanks for the video!
So helpful, thanks so much. I stopped wearing makeup for the past few years bc I wasn't going anywhere & life. I started again, I'm 41 now and it's like I forgot what I was doing. I really had to play around to get my rhythm back. Anyway, every single tip is absolutely useful. Thanks.
Great video! You may already have it, but if not I would love to see a video from you on the no makeup makeup look. Your skin and face looked so lovely without makeup I'm very curious what you do for a your face, but better technique. Over the years I've been home more without makeup and enjoy letting my face "breath". I would love to keep the freshness, but refine.
Loved this video! Your “don’t eye” basically described how I do my makeup and what a difference your techniques made to the “do eye”! Making those changes immediately and incorporating a few new products too! Love what you do for all of us! Thank you!
Great video Stephanie!! I’m definitely going to be trying all the things you have suggested. I’m turning 48 tomorrow and we will see if my family notices anything different about the way I look! Have a great weekend!
Stephanie I myself am a phenomenal makeup artist so that said I'm rarely impressed with theese videos however I watched this to the end and agree with every detail you used also the way you explained every trick so well made this the absolute most exceptional tutorial I have ever seen.Stephanie you are world class and this was amazing and awesome for the first time I'm more than impressed I liked I subscribed and I'll share.God bless you! OUTSTANDING
These are great tips.. I need to practice the lip lining..I'm unsure exactly how to do that... I'll watch a few more times! Thank you for such precise instructions
Stephanie, I LOVE this video so much!! I really-really needed this video! I love the way you explained everything. I’m older than you but this video still helped me so very much! I hope you will be doing more videos like this one!! I’ve found from my own experience as I’ve aged into “maturity”😂😂😂 that a little makeup can make me feel better or worse depending on how it’s applied. As I turned 50 a few yrs back, I stopped wearing makeup all together for awhile mainly because I didnt know how to apply makeup for my “mature aging” self! Now, after watching this video & a few others, I’m finally getting the confidence to wear makeup again which has helped me feel so much better about myself. Looking better or looking the best we can, always helps us feel better about ourselves! It’s amazing how much “a little makeup” can do if applied in the correct way! Bare in mind ladies that makeup applied the wrong way, can make things look a lot worse-from my own experience!! Thank you so very much Stephanie for this very informative video as I have thoroughly enjoyed this video more than you know!! You are so pretty & I love the way you always apply your makeup as you never wear too much nor wear your makeup incorrectly! I feel that as we age into maturity, that too much makeup such as “too much blush”, can really make us look more like a clown than a person no matter how attractive we might be! I can’t express how much this video means to me & has helped me learn the correct way to apply makeup! I love your channel Stephanie so much!! Thank you! I hope to see more videos similar to this one from you as you always explain everything so well! I realize I have repeated myself in this comment but I really wanted you to know how much I loved this video!!! 💖💖💖🙏🏻
This was such a great step by step video. Explanation of why one method works ad the other does not. I have that eye shadow pallet. I always struggled knowing what colors to put where and how to do it. Now I know. Can you do a demo with the toasted tarter pallet? Thank you
I have to say, most of the time videos like this are so exaggerated on the Don't side and it can be very annoying. This was a wonderful video. Very realistic. I'm 33 and these are great tips! Going to start implementing them asap
The Blush-L is a game changer! I have a gaunt face snd high cheekbones, so where people usually apply blush is where highlighter sits for me. Wow! Thanks!
Fantastic video! Thank you for the detailed instructions! I particularly struggle with blush placement as I have a long, narrow face, but I'm going to try your technique and see if it helps. Thanks again!!
I love watching your videos on makeup for over 40. Cause every now and then I need to update my makeup skills. Very good technique. I definitely will try. ❤️
You are fantastic! Same age and great to watch videos of folks like us rather than 20 year olds (bless them) - it’s real and confirming we matter. Thank you!
Stephanie, usually I don't comment on videos, but this time I have to: thank you so so much for that tip with the blush placement/using your hand as a guideline. It is such a pretty look and makes a world of a difference! Such a great tip! Have a great day, best wishes from AUSTRIA! 🌺🌻🏵️
Love, love love this Stephanie… we all need a lift… and who knew the blush had to go that high… your eyes are so beautiful.. not sure the downturn hoods would be that noticed. Thanks!❤️
I got Sculptura in my temples and it gives a visible lift and make u look more youthful filling in the temple so it's not sucken in. I happy with the results! I think everyone over 40 should look into it, Sculptura is not a traditional filler it helps you make your own collagen.
The limited contour placement on the side of the face is very helpful as is the idea of starting the eye look with liner and extending the lower lash line toward the brow as a shadow guide. Definitely going to try that tomorrow.
Thank you so much for these amazing tips🥰. I love it that you take the time to walk us through the steps and show us the side by side. Definitely a game changer💯%
Honestly, I think you look beautiful both ways. I appreciate you sharing your application knowledge. We need more quality instruction videos like yours.
Stephanie, you are an excellent teacher with terrific ability at selecting and applying make-up! Love these techniques and hope to put them into practice. The side by side comparison was so helpful! Can’t wait for more tips and tutorials!
Great video showing side by side comparison! I think both eyes look great but the one does look more lifted using your techniques. Amazing! Thank you will definitely try! 😊
Love love love love this video!!!! Such a helpful and informative video, but still easy to understand every single step, this is my favorite video so far! Thank you for all this tips and tricks
The eyeliner application and tight lining looks so do-able I’m excited to try it- have always struggled with getting it right. Can you recommend a moderately priced brush set?
I'm a long long time follower. I love all your videos. Something about this one hit different. I know you've done videos similar to this in the past (maybe), but this one was so fantastic! Keep up the great work!
Stephanie, what a great video! That is exactly what I have always wanted to know. I can’t wait to try all the techniques. 😊 Thank you so much for sharing!

This is the kind of content I miss on the tube- Thank you for taking the time to teach us :)
I am 62, and this will work for us ladies. Thankyou for this. You're very talented.
Hi Stephanie!! So happy to see you doing makeup tutorials on your channel again!!! You look beautiful!!

The Tartelette In Bloom is my favorite palate of all time 🙌🏼
The eye look is brighter. Thanks for demonstrating how to give your eyes a lifted look. Kindness, Teresa
I've always added mascara and then curled.... the lift and curl I get is amazing
This is a brilliant video, I turned 39 on Friday and I've started to make some of the changes you have in this video and it really does make a difference
Appreciated all the steps but wow as soon as you placed that blush what a difference. Very good and thoughtful video! Thanks

Hello, sweetie Stephanie, i bought my Moroccanoil Mending Infusion today , thank yooou for your 2019 vídeo. Helped me! 🥰🥰🥰Kisses from Brazil.
I really enjoyed the eye makeup tutorial. I always have trouble with my eyes looking downturned and have never found a tutorial I could follow and understand the reasoning for the choices made. I'm going to try these techniques tomorrow and hopefully getting this to be my everyday routine.

Wow. There really is a big difference.
I'm thankful for you being here !
This was very helpful! Thanks so much! Amazing difference!
Love all of your videos. This might be your best one yet! So helpful to hear about techniques that could do so much for us!
Excellent video with great, easy to follow tips! Really good camera work and explanations. Thank you!
That lip technique was the most helpful! Thanks 😊
Hi Stephanie! This was really interesting! And I picked up some new tricks to try out for myself 👍🏻 many thanks. Love from the UK xxx

Can you do a demo with the toasted tarter pallet? Thank you
Love citi lips. Used for years. So expensive though. Nyx has a great dupe.
Video with your brushes!!!! I love the one for powder!!!
Stephanie, Love this video and thanks for taking time with the eyeliner which is where I really struggle!
Most useful video I have ever seen! I have used your tips and love the difference that I see! Thank you so much.
Thank you Thank you for the recommendation of the Revlon Apricute blush...am in love!!! So very pretty ❤️
I have to say, most of the time videos like this are so exaggerated on the Don't side and it can be very annoying. This was a wonderful video. Very realistic. I'm 33 and these are great tips! Going to start implementing them asap
Thank you so much! I appreciate that Leah!
WoW Great techniques Stephanie 😊😉👍
Well done. 🎉 I just sent this to a friend. 🙂

👏🏼🙌🏻👏🏼🙌🏻👏🏼🙌🏻👏🏼 so helpful!!
Bravo. This is an excellent tutorial. Just so many fantastic tips and lessons! Thanks so much.
I watched this then watched again while applying my makeup. So many great tips!!
Thank you! 😘
one of your best videos ever ❤
You look amazing for 47!!!!! And the do side tips were so helpful!!!!
I love watching your videos on makeup for over 40. Cause every now and then I need to update my makeup skills. Very good technique. I definitely will try. ❤️
Thank you so much, Stephanie! This was so needed and appreciated! Please do more!! Still would love an am and pm skincare routine! ❤️
Great video Stephanie. This is what we need in beauty UA-camrs - useful information and lovely women who “keep it real”😁
Thanks!❤️
LOVED this video!! Thank you for this!! I'm 56 and have a narrow face. These tricks made a huge difference!
Fantastic! Really, really love this type of video. Great tips. Thank you!
I got Sculptura in my temples and it gives a visible lift and make u look more youthful filling in the temple so it's not sucken in. I happy with the results! I think everyone over 40 should look into it, Sculptura is not a traditional filler it helps you make your own collagen.
I’m intrigued 🧐👍🏼
Thank you! 😘
OMG! What a difference! Thank you for sharing!
Excellent tips, especially for hooded eyes. What a great way to show the "Do's and Don'ts" for makeup applications.
Thank you so much! 💗
Loved this. Can’t wait to watch more!
The eyeliner application and tight lining looks so do-able I’m excited to try it- have always struggled with getting it right. Can you recommend a moderately priced brush set?
Great video! Totally makes sense and you can see the difference. Thanks
I'm a long long time follower. I love all your videos. Something about this one hit different. I know you've done videos similar to this in the past (maybe), but this one was so fantastic! Keep up the great work!
also, pretty oily skin and 40 here. I've never used this foundation. Would this or ELDW last better on my skin/keep me
more matte? THANKS! 💜
Aw thank you! I appreciate that so much! ❤️
Hi enjoyed the video some fab tips thank you for sharing 🌺
Yesss!! So excited to watch this!!
Thank you so much for showing us this! At 56 I definitely needed this tutorial
Can you share the lipliner and lipstick colors that you used on the good side.
This video was so good. I think I can use every tip!
Absolutely fabulous! Thank you so much - you are the greatest!
Stephanie, what a great video! That is exactly what I have always wanted to know. I can’t wait to try all the techniques. 😊 Thank you so much for sharing!
