This is why we are so fond of Peter the Pointer. A tale of redemption..
Peter the pointer wasn't always a beacon of childish amusement. No, his past was shrouded in a darkness deeper than the forgotten corners of a classroom closet. Once, he was known as "The Claw," a monstrous appendage on the arm of a cruel teacher named Ms. Gnaw.
Ms. Gnaw wielded Peter with relish, his crimson paint a chilling reminder of past detentions. He'd seen countless childhood dreams squashed under her bony finger, directed by Peter's unyielding point. Spelling errors, forgotten homework, whispered jokes - all met the cold judgment of The Claw.
One day, a particularly rambunctious student named Timmy, in a fit of defiance, launched a spitball. It found its mark, landing squarely on The Claw, staining the red a sickly green. Ms. Gnaw, in a rage unlike any witnessed before, ripped Peter from her arm and flung him into the janitor's closet.
Years passed, filled with dust bunnies and forgotten mops. Peter despaired, his cruel purpose seemingly over. Then, one fortuitous day, a cleaning crew unearthed him. They found his story amusing, the injustice he represented a relic of a bygone era.
And so, Peter found himself reborn. He was refurbished, his red a cheery fire engine hue, and placed in the eager hands of Phil, a young man with a booming voice and an even bigger passion for RC cars.
On Phils UA-cam channel, Peter became a symbol of excitement. He pointed at speeding cars, wacky builds, and Phil's collection of motors and esc's. Children, instead of cowering, laughed as Peter directed their attention to the latest epic RC car.
Peter, the once dreaded Claw, was finally free. He was a guiding hand in a world of joy, a testament to the power of redemption, and a silent reminder that even the darkest of objects can find a purpose in the light. Now, with each point, Peter didn't just direct attention, he pointed towards a brighter future, a future filled with laughter and the thrill of the RC race.
You really took the time to write all that about a little pointy finger on a stick.. Legend.

If legit, that's a steal. But read the reviews for that seller. Lots of deception and fraud claims tied to them. You are rolling the dice anytime you buy from Aliexpress, but in this case, I'd say there is an ever higher chance you could be filing a dispute with your credit card company. Someone like PayPal will back you if it's fraud, so maybe it's worth a try. Let's me know how it goes! 😂
FTX is one of my favourites, and this Crawler will give Traxxas a run for its money.

This particular community it is difficult to tell when someone has been sent something and when they haven't because no one in this niche seems to disclose like they are supposed to. I try to be as transparent as I can be without loosing the flow of the video. It’s easier to be transparent when you have confidence in your own integrity. I have nothing to hide or worry about and it’s nice people notice 😇

With that steering angle, you should put some drift tyres on it and take it to the car park.
I got the RGT branded one a couple of weeks back as i wanted the Green one, and have to say its awesome truck with a really good radio, im running mine with a home made 4200mah 2S Li-ion pack as this keeps the weight down over the rear, the body shell feels a little weak but i look after my trucks, yes this is a very good rig, and having clear windows with a scale interior is really showing Traxxas up, well done on you for donating the spare one

is this the same as new RGT Bronco?
Very oddly specific video... I was just looking for a Raptor Bronco style body, or even RTR but didn't come up with much except a one off design from a store I didn't really trust and then you posted this! We just got a blue Bronco Raptor and wanted to build a replica, they nailed the blue one as best they could considering the price
My RGT pro runner came with plastic main gear I upgraded it to the tracker metal gear. I also printed a spacer for motor to get gears to align better
The difference in RTR from now and four years ago is pretty impressive. Just think about how much better low speed control on rigs has gotten to allow you to be able to do some tech crawling right out of the box. I think that's the most impressive part of not only this but a lot of new rigs.
Yeah, imagine what we are gonna see in another 10 yrs 😎

Ive been looking at getting a crawler but they are either not taking my fancy or outside of my budget but this one looks awesome and it seems great value for money...
You missed the fact it's got overdrive and counter rotating driveshafts which is very rarely seen together if ever.
I thought it had overdrive but never properly checked. Whilst ‘climbing’ on the rocks I thought the front was rotating faster…

Americans actually can have one under the Rgt pro runner name as it's the same rig with different name. Available on AliExpress and banggoods. But nevertheless great little rigs woth a lot of functionality for not much money.
Axial did this basically with the scx10.3 where you could make the transmission have a dig or 2 spd or both I think I’m not sure but that’s what I do know also has portals and just need to add a winch

The actual full size car made in China Tank 300 has the same turn feature when the back wheels lock.
I wish you can compare it with other Bronco Body, like the HB R1001 & TRX4. Im sure it will be great vids

I think the word you used to describe it is impressive. I agree 100%. It performed extremely well. I don't think there was any body rub. It's extremely well thought out with some very nice features.

FMS is coming along but they still lack the aftermarket support for upgrades or changes, or pulling a Traxxas and having a bunch of upgrades themselves.
Suspension looks smooooooth as silk. Like the truck!

Absolutely beautiful but the whole fun of the hobby is to build and tinker! This truck comes fully done! Good for the rare person looking to buy something and just have a competitive truck that will keep up with the modified ones.
I don't think that person is so rare... if so everything would be sold a kit rather than rtr.
The reason I got back into the hobby after a very long break is the availability of RTR trucks. I know many people who are the same.
Tinkering when you break things is great fun, having to build from scratch is not.
@@TomPennyUK I get that for sure. Especially when your busy most RTRs can't keep up if you really go out crawling but this one really looks like it could. It's quite impressive for something right out of the box
Looks like a pretty feature packed trail rig. We just don’t get FTX in the states. We’re lucky enough to get FMS though.

Am I wrong in thinking FTX and Redcat are essentially the same? So if we get a redcat Gen9, then we get one of these with a different body setup?

RGT Pro Runner is the same and comes in a nice green. I wish spur gears weren't plastic, makes no sense to me.

That light connector is safer than the one on the fcx10. I wouldn’t have minded the one cord like that hanging from the Blazer body.

Nice, but I'd trade in the dig for locking diffs and I would rather not have steering on axle. Otherwise I like it.

How is this thing compared to the beluga? This RGT/FTX is over double the price to get here in the US. Would like to see a side by side comparison if you still have the Beluga.

I think that the ftx stuff is almost the same as the redcat racing trucks. Although i my be wrong but for example the ftx ravine and the redcat danchee ridgerock are the same

Is it just me... Or are Ni-MH packs making a comeback? The old school round form factor was an endangered species at one point, but now they seem to be making a comeback? Is it a shipping thing, in that LiPo is so volatile and difficult to ship that manufacturers are making the switch back? I just went through a Tamiya binge, where I put 5 of their kits together and spent much time looking for LiPo's that'll fit the wonky shape, but here's Phil with a new FTX that takes the same form factor. Are radio crystals and Novak ESC's next?
Definitely with brushed 1/10th vehicles as 8.4v Ni-Mh gives virtually the same top end as a 7.4v lipo, yes less acceleration but a lot easier to manage and safer
Ftx normally come with them think its because they are cheaper
Reedy Wolfpack’s are the same shape as the NI-MH or the old NICAD batteries Team Associated makes the Wolfpack and there great batteries. The 7.4 forgive I’ve been out of it for awhile. I just finished a grasshopper I know but I love the way it looks and never had one plus it was candy green which I like more. Yea so the wolf pack is the way to go . No hard box LI-PO just a regular shaped battery pack.
As are brushed motors at least for crawlers !

Just tried to order one to see what shipping is like and I got his message. - Warning: Currently Royal Mail have suspended International Shipping. So currently we can only ship to the United Kingdom and France. So I guess there are no other carriers in the UK other than Royal Mail. What a backward little country. ;-)

So I love me some FTX but I now know what it's not available in the USA. If you exchange $359.99 into USD it's $448. in the USA the TRX4 is $475 so they are only $20ish bucks less that a TRX4. Now I get why you cannot get them here. Maybe I will have one of my UK buddies bring me one over in October when they come visit. Pay the shipping and you may as well get a TRX4.
But this comes with extras, lights, winch…

$6.16 cdn kopeks, it aint' a budget crawler that's for sure.....lots of features but RC-TNT did a video on an off brand that had everything including an automatic cat polisher......
FTX should just pay ford to license their bodies. I would gladly pay extra to have it be a real Raptor or GT500. It looks silly to make up a fake name.

Licensing deals cost a lot of money which in turn costs more for the consumer. These are budget RCs. Traxxas has Broncos
