Liverpool / Walk through the Walker Art Gallery / Oct 2021

Visited on a nice warm, sunny October afternoon. Plenty to see, I really enjoyed the gallery downstairs which has many things that we use through the ages, and in particular some of the design changes over the years. Also amazing exhibition of vintage dresses from the collection of a cross dressing individual. The medieval gallery had some fascinating descriptions of those collected by Roscoe in the 1800's. Loved the way each room was set out so as to guide the visitor through each century's offerings. Excellent art collection, largely traditional oils but also several modern pieces. Very satisfied to spot a Turner among the paintings. Must be taken at a leisurely pace to savour. as you have seen photography and filming are allowed.
