Happy Gilmore might not be as DnD as other films and movies, but Happy Gilmore *the character* is one of the most DnD player characters I've seen so far
Yup. Specifically, Happy Gilmore would be a Barbarian PC.
This. This is exactly what I was thinking.
Probably the most iconic CN character out there. Especially if he didn't lean more towards the good side of the spectrum like he does in most of his early movies.
Local Barbarian sets out to earn enough gold to repay his Grandmother's arreared taxes she owes to the Kingdom in order to save her hovel.
Honestly not that bad of a backstory albeit a little simple.

It's an underated movie
It's literally considered one of the greatest films of all time (not *the* greatest, but that's because it's literally being compared to films like Citizen Kane) I'd say it's properly rated
My dad dismissed it because of it’s name. Then he later saw me watching the “My name is Inigo Montoya” scene and joined me in watching it (mom too)
Leaving this comment both to help with the unholy UA-cam A-word, and as a suggestion for a possible future Adam Sandler analysis video. “50 first dates” would have a really significant character progression throughout it, given how much Adam’s character changes for the sake of a woman that can’t even remember him after she goes to sleep.
if hes going to cover multiple Adam Sandler movies, 50 First Dates is a must, the movie is both hilarious and really touching.
Oh yeah totally have to do 50 first dates in the ranking of Adam Sandler films it's my favorite. Happy Gilmore was my second favorite.

9:08 I know that there's no Alligator stat block in 5e, but I kind of wish that the xp was +100 for this bit, because a Crocodile gives you 100 XP due to it's CR.
I may not appreciate Adam Sandler's sense of humor, but I admire his dedication to the craft. Thank you to everyone involved in this episode's production, and here's hoping X recovers soon!

Mr. Deeds is a genuine comfort movie for me. It's such a feel-good flick because Mr. Deeds is so good to so many people and makes friends so easily.

@@noahtackett6264 they may be lawful, but that doesn't mean the person harming them can't also be lawful. For proof of that just look at the Tales of Robin Hood. A rogue who breaks the laws of the authorities by appealing to a higher law

@@schwarzerritter5724 where do you get that idea from? He wasn't a lawless criminal attacking the defenseless. He was literally the protagonist of English liberal morality plays. When someone in a position of authority abused that authority Robin Hood would step in and hold them to the standards laid down in English common law and ratified in the Magna Carta. It's why the stories are set in the era of Prince John, why the oldest story is of the fat friar being told that getting fat under a vow of poverty was a display of immorality since the money going to the church was supposed to go to those in need not to the monks
You know nothing of the character of Robin Hood if you can't recognize his ethical code. Every tale literally has him explaining the moral lesson like it's the end of a He-man or G.I.Joe episode

We were not expecting an old Adam Sandler movie to be featured in this series, but it was still an entertaining watch reguardless
this was far more enjoyable than I thought it would be I have never seen this movie so I didn't think I'd be as interested
Every time I miss my putt in any golf game, I would get angry so much that even Happy Gilmore go "Dude, chill out"
I'm not a great golfer but I can do a few things that make other golfer want to ragequit (I will putt through a sand trap and get within a foot of the hole)

Honestly, just putting together a list of "weird, but interesting" characters for an alignment video so you have some things to do in case of situations like this would be fine by me. They may not get as much traction, but getting some views is probably better than not getting any. Spongebob and Patrick, Your partner or Grovyle from PMD: Explorers of Sky, Your partner from any of the Pokemon mystery dungeon games, James Bond from any of the movies... I believe I've said this on your stream once before, but if you do Spongebob, I recommend using the first Spongebob movie, from 2002(?). It canonically takes place at the very end of the franchise, therefore would be the pinnacle of the character's growth and actions. Also it's surprisingly good.

Fun(ish) fact: in Italy, this film was dubbed as “Un tipo imprevedibile” (An Unpredictable Guy). A title as straightforward as its main character I guess.

I would think a "Mr. Deeds" and "Billy Madison" comparison video would be interesting. Though same outcomes in all his movies I feel like he at least starts in a different place in those two. Being born rich and like a child vs inheriting riches and is a humble sweetheart of a guy. Forgive the rant but now that I think about it I don't think Mr. Deeds would change all that much. He is already the end of a Sandler movie as far as personality, it's the people around him that change due to him.

Okay, the two I'll suggest: Billy Madison, and Grown Ups, the latter could be fun to cover multiple characters as if they were a dnd party.
More Adam Sandler would be awesome cus I really enjoy his movies. But you're right that a lot of his characters are very similar so it might not be that interesting for your series. But just because they all turn out to be chaotic good doesn't mean the analysis of that isn't different. The characters are similar but the situations are very different.

If Happy Gilmore was a D&D character, he'd be a Barbarian that turned his INT and WIS into dump stats so that he could have a maxed out DEX for accuracy.

Weirdly enough, I'd love to see you maybe try that semi new Sandler movie about him being a scummy jeweler. While it isn't his best work, it still surprised me about his character as that one super hopeless guy without the normal arc his earlier movies did.
Hope that, if you make one for THE Suicide Squad, you can make one quickie for each main character, or at least one where you mention that King Shark is more attuned to animalistic neutral, since he does not seems to take pleasure on his actions beyond being hungry, following orders, or being directly provoked (like a dog, if you wish) and that Ratcatcher II is not even a villian, but a rather nice girl that just stole in order to survive and basically saved the world.
