OK, it's the day before Thanksgiving and I made these. Recipe turned out 23 rolls, they were all devoured in 4 hours. I will need to make more for the "actual" Thanksgiving meal tomorrow. One thing that I changed was a dusting of flour instead of an egg wash - still browned great. This recipe is da BOMB!!!!!!!

I made your recipe ohmygod they were delicious I got so many compliments I just want to say thank you so much I love your recipes I also have made your Chinese fruit cake and it never disappoints me I have made it now probably about 8 times and thank you very much I know you do these videos for us and these beautiful recipes that take a lot of time thank you so much you know I have tried other people's recipes and some of them are very disappointing when they do not turn out but I do not have a problem with any of your recipes and some other people's recipes never have a problem with but there's some people out there that just should not be putting their recipes on UA-cam they don't realize that you spend all this money to make these recipes and when they have a flop recipe they still put it on UA-cam like for instance my caramel apples it cost me at least $10 to make the caramel apples that caramels would not stick it roll completely off I followed the recipe to exact measures now this woman could have been honest or not put the video on at all that would have been the right thing to do but anyways thank you so much sob you are my favorite gal with the recipes how wonderful Thanksgiving Day weekend

nice recipe , interesting mixture .
my nannas old recipe is one potato cut and cooked in 2 cups water, mash potatoes in water and cool to warm add REAL butter or lard (bacon is awesome) in one big bowl add potato mixture 2 T sugar and yeast mix and set 2 min. add 2 cups flour and 2 t. salt mix to nice batter add more flour4-6 cups till a nice sticky dough let sit 1 hour pull from sides and push down . let rise another 1-2 hours push down and form into buns set in buttered pan rise 1 hour brush with melted butter bake 400 for 20 min or till tap on top sounds hollow :) yummy !!! have made these for over 40 years with no complaints lol all in one bowl breads was my goal !!! Nanna's Bun's with Real butter mmmmm mm yummy

The problem with using eggs and butter in rolls or bread is that they dry out really fast. I use oil and no eggs. Save butter to brush tops and split open to spread on. They stay soft and moist longer.
