  • Installing the JET AFS 2000 Air Filtration System: A Dilemma and DIY Adventure
Welcome to Workshop at The Gardens, where woodworking enthusiast Glenn takes on the challenge of installing the JET AFS 2000 Air Filtration System. But here's the twist - the package arrived a week early, presenting Glen with a dilemma. Should he wait for help or embark on the installation by himself? Let's find out together as we join Glenn on this unique UA-cam journey!
In this captivating video, Glenn faces the decision of whether to install the 110-pound air filtration system on his own or wait for assistance. As he contemplates his options, he takes us on a quick visit to his hardware store corner in the workshop. With luck on his side, he discovers that he has all the necessary equipment, including eye hooks, quick links, and chains, to hang the air filtration system securely.
Glenn emphasizes the importance of safety and attention to detail as he meticulously reads the instruction manual, ensuring that every component is properly rated for the installation. With his ladder and grandpa's cast iron chain fall, he showcases his resourcefulness and ingenuity in adapting tools for the task.
However, a minor setback occurs when the larger eye hooks prove challenging to fit the quick clip. Undeterred, Glen adjusts and persists, demonstrating his problem-solving skills and confidence in overcoming obstacles.
Throughout the video, Glen shares valuable tips and practical advice based on his research and experience. He explains his decision to choose the JET 2000 AFS 2000 system, highlighting its capabilities and suitability for his workshop's size and filtration needs. By strategically placing the air filters to optimize circulation and capture dust particles efficiently, Glen showcases his understanding of airflow dynamics.
As the installation progresses, Glenn's dedication to a clean and safe working environment becomes evident. He shares before-and-after comparisons, showcasing the dramatic difference the air filtration system makes in reducing airborne dust particles. With each step, he emphasizes the significance of proper dust management and the benefits of investing in quality equipment.
Join Glenn on this captivating UA-cam journey as he shares his passion for woodworking, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for creating a productive and healthy workspace. With his engaging storytelling style and relatable approach, he inspires viewers to consider their own air filtration needs and take steps to improve their workshop environments.

Hmm recommend 10 ft ceilings? My shop is 20 ft high and I would chain it about 5ft.
