Have to say I’m a huge fan of your 300 BO videos, just wanted to tell everyone about my AR loads with the Maker Bullets from my 10 inch pistol. I’ve been loading 300 for about 8 years. My favorite load is as follows: case: RP once fired, case length is 1.355, wsr primers, powder is IMR 4227 9.5 gr.Bullet is a 200gr. Maker REX, seated to 2.100, Avarage velocity is 1040 FPS, Almost always have single digit SD.
Once again another Good Video, I like that the Comparison between Machined Bullets and Normal Jacketed ones. It's all good stuff. Those type of tests on video are a good resource, Thanks Dude.
Thanks for the vid & I agree with u that these results were uncharacteristic & unexpected w these powders, bullets, etc. I appreciate you continuing to test & figuring this out. Looking forward to the next installment.
I know im asking randomly but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Landen Emilio Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Just wanted to thank you for turning me on to these bullets....No bull -1/4" groups at 60 yds....SD is 13 and only around 23 cold bore...22" 1:7 twist encore barrel - 10.8gr reloader 7 - 2.202 c.o.l....Expands perfectly...One test was through 2 layers of deer hide,a large pumpkin, and a bag of soil into a sand backstop... Thank you
That is awesome news! Glad you've had success. I am going to be making some more videos on these bullets in the coming weeks. Hunting season is almost here and I really want to kill a deer with one of these! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us.
I'll be hunting with these as well, hogs and deer..I found they expand more consistently than the Lehigh ME (in my experience only )...Good luck to you and would love to see more testing on the makers
I'm having the same issue with the small little copper flakes coming off..I just ordered the expamding die...I wonder if putting them in the tumbler would do anything ? At least make them a better looking bullet and maybe smooth them out,idk...still working up a load so no good data yet
Well I'm not an expert on the blackout ,but a 1:8 is supposed to be the right twist for heavy bullets...I was hoping it's not those bullets either because I have some, haven't loaded with them yet, but had high hopes as well for them...I shoot 300 blackout in a 22" TC encore barrel 1:7 twist....best subsonic load so far is 12.4gr reloader 7 and 220gr hornady round nose...1070fps, 1" groups at 100yds and perfect bullet holes at all yardages...
Be sure to check out the expansion test video. These guys performed amazingly well. I also picked up a few hundred more bullets to test with in the future, so I bet I will find some better accuracy. Hunting season is very close so that video will be very soon. Stay tuned. Even if the groups stay a little bigger than I'd like, it is certainly good enough hunting accuracy since I will not be taking over a 100 yard shot with subsonics anyway.
@@JohnnysReloadingBench I run my Bullets at 2.100 and have no feeding issues at all. Want to congratulate Paul for making a superb hunting bullet. By the way I’m using a magazine designed for 300 blackout, it has much smaller feeding ramps than a 223 mag.
Got these today and they still look like crap, but $20 cheaper than Discreet Ballistics, and these look still pressed not like the CNC of Discreet. So I guess you get what you pay for. $48 for 50

Now I gotta order some more powder. Thanks for sharing this load.
@@no-sway3709 Your welcome my friend
You should redo this with the 220 grain!

Cool man! cant wait to see the ballistic gel test.

@Landen Emilio it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account!
@Alonso Canaan glad I could help =)

"the face only a mother could love"
Love the videos, nice detailed testing, keep 'em coming
Awesome stuff
Berrys makes 220 gr bullets, plated.
did they change their bullet again? the one on their website looks different

I never thought about putting them in the tumbler. Might work halfway decent as long as it doesn't get media stuck down in the hollow point!
Yes,media gets stuck down in the hollow point hahaha, put that one down in the bad idea column
this is perfect at 1.25 speed
Barrel twist matters with 300 blackout ...What is the twist of your barrel ? I apologize ahead of time if you have said what it is and I missed it.
Both of mine are 1:8

Maby its the twist rate that has to be changed , or at least be given in the company web site
good video. i get 1.5" groups@100 using 8.3gr Lil gun@2.250 col with my 16" AAC upper
Thanks, I'll have to throw that load data down in my book.
I also had good groups with little gun.
What kind of master seater die is that you are using?
Odd the flies are attracted to the bullet holes...not there before.
good stuff
the holes from 8.5 barrel looked better on first few shots with 1680
More like Inaccurate 1680.
I actually prefer, the now discontinued, Lehigh 176 grain controlled fracturing
Good video man my oal is a little long then yours . I know it's a headache to get it right and I only did 3 different bullets.
I found that 2.12 oal worked the best in my gun
As soon as I get some more bullets that's going to be my first test. Do you have any issues with feeding or magazine binding at 2.12?
+Johnny's Reloading Bench no I don't and I talked to Paul at maker bullets and he told me that he runs a oal at 2.125

How'd these do on game?
Ummmmm.... EXCELLENTLY.
What is the proper setting
What is the proper seating depth for this Rex bullet

They do a hole lot better in 16" barrel
