You sir are a genius I did that and the rattle that has plagued me for over a year is now gone I had insulated everything on that door panel but that thank you
My old gti had this problem. I took the panel off and used a hot glue gun and sealed up alot of cracks and anything that was loose. That worked out great for me.
Rattle on passenger side when sound volume up and installed thick rubber between plastic pieces. No more annoying vibrating noise. Thanks for this video it was driving me crazy the noise
Driver side same rattle problem. Took off driver door panel today put the same rubber I used on passenger side door rattle all gone. Took me 30 mins tops for each door to fix the annoying rattle. Now I have to find the rattle coming from right side of dash near right corner near tweeter speaker I hate annoying rattles!!!
Trying to replace the XL armrest black fabric to the XLT vinyl armrest. This video at 11:48 was perfect! Looks like 9 screws from the inside for the swap... Thanks for a detailed video! Sometimes just being very detailed helps others out with different problems... Thanks for the detailed video!
I have same prob u think that's what he meant squuking just wasn't best term for it certain tones through bass vibrate and I inspected thought this where it came from then looked up vid and this confirms it
I just came across this video, but I had this on my Mazda 5 and I LePage Fun-Tak, it's sticky and moldable, but also pretty easily removable should you ever need to do anything. Been working well for about 5 years now.
I upgraded the speakers on my last subaru and the sound became way better. However, overtime speaker wires became oxidized and needed to be replaced every years. To solve the problem i had to figure how connect the wires to the speaker differently. In other words, when you upgrade speakers, new aftermarket speakers need to be wired exactly the way factory speakers were wired and using factory plug help. On my maverick i don't plan upgrading speakers but will certainly try to eleminate the squeaking.. but i find the maverick door panel kinda cheap and flimsy. Breaking a panel or even a peace can be very expensive to replace and we are also talking about 6 weeks waiting to order… as no dealer have any spare parts..
HOW in the world did you not break the latch cable retaining clips? Here you have the entire panel out and turned and the cable in a bind. Both sides when I took the panel off to replace the speakers they broke. Good thing I was able to order new ones $21 one side $25 the other plus extras.... please provide input to avoid this!!!! speakers sound great but broken clips are a set back.... now I can try to add some deadening to this area ,,,,
If you reaaally want to do it make sure you get the low expansion type. I was thinking some caulking strip like for weatherstripping windows and leaks might be better so you can really squish it into the cavity a bit. Maybe wont matter which way you go and almost anything is better than nothing.
had my ford maverick for about 2-3 weeks now and i never heard this issue. how loud are you playing your music to get to the point where the door vibrates. also are you hearing them with both stock and aftermarket speakers. you can try a achieves rubber sticky that you can stick in between the door to provide longer lasting durability.
Lariat Lux here, I found the only buzz at medium volume (around #15) or above there is a bass resonance and i can stop it by pressing on the plastic trim piece that was shown in the video. At least i think that was where I was pressing, Ill have to test again and do this fix if so. I was thinking of using some rope caulk strip aka weatherstripping cord or whatever other names it has. That stuff is squishy and maybe it’ll shmooze into the cavity.
Yes mine too. Driver door below the arm rest where the plastic divider for the water bottle extends downward. Driving me crazy. I also have a low resonance from the back driver side door when driving. Other than that everything is good.
It didn't stop it. I can't figure out what's rattling. I took the door card off again and couldn't hear a rattle from the speaker, so its got to be coming from this cheap plastic door card. I can't figure out where, I even shoved foam bits all around the edges of the plastic welds inside the card. No change.
@@just4ivaylo92 before you go- make sure you can tee up a song or 2 that consistently cause it. I took mine in for the door rattle and of course it's one of the hottest days of the year so things might have tightened themselves up a bit and it wasn't as bad. We couldn't reproduce it on the lot and then the song that comes on right as I pull in my driveway causes it. -_-
Really? An Audio guy that doesn't use and promote plastic trim tools..... wow, when you said "you'll need a screwdriver" my mouth fell open. And then you went on to show us the Damage you did to your own interior.... Dude!! You just lost several credibility points.... All in all a very informative video. Thank you. If I need this fix on my 2024 I would probably use silicone caulking between those two plastic pieces, as I would be concerned that those sound deadening pieces might shake loose in time and create yet another issue..... There's always more than one way to approach a fix. Looking forward to seeing your speaker change out.
I love the maverick so much, but I’m kind of bummed I’m going to drop 27k on my XLT hybrid when it comes in to potentially have to stuff the doors with bubble wrap 😔
My windshield pops once almost every time I drive it. Within the first few minutes, I get one singular pop from driver's side, down low (near the state inspection sticker), and then it doesn't pop again until the next time I drive it. So weird. I also have this passenger door rattle.
@@tc5426 have you gone to the dealer? I went back for the 3rd time today and it's still not fixed. I have both a squeak and a pop (though less common). The pop happens when the wheels are turned one direction, then I somewhat quickly turn to the other and the road angle changes.
@@just4ivaylo92 I had them look at it when I was there for my recall fuel tank replacement (I was lucky enough to have drill damage -_-) and they couldn't reproduce it. I'm going to have to pay more attention to what specifically causes it and try to reproduce it next time I go for an oil change or something.

Maaan I just upgraded my speakers and had the exact rattle/ vibration on passenger side. Thank you, I’ll try this out.
Would there be any issue just shooting some silicone in there to fill the gap?
Great video! Exactly the fix I needed with my B&O system in my maverick!
So did it make a change? Update/

My 2023 Maverick XL came with cloth armrests on the doors. Were there some that came with Vinyl?
@@Kro_man_txXL gets cloth, and XLT/Lariat gets vinyl

If a clip breaks, is it repairable or replaceable? I hope it and the panel aren't one piece.
when removing a door card, once all the fasteners have been removed....pull out the bottom of the door card first, the top lifts off/up last.
Thanks Blake - i have the same issue on my Escape - i am going to try this fix.

Why not just use silicone. Squeeze it into the gap let it cure and should be good as new
use expanding foam to fill the gaps.
Oh so that's what's going on! 😂 Think the cotton "swab" would work as well!

Small pieces of felt should work. I think that would maybe even be simpler than packing material.
I’ve had my hybrid for over a month and don’t have any squeaks or rattles

Cut up an old sock and stuff it in the cracks with a flatblade.

Packing peanuts makes squeaky noises
