Looking forward to taking my 21 year old son and his 22 year old wife to church tomorrow on a Saturday night when the REO Speedwagon tour makes a stop in Oklahoma.
This is one hell of a RABBIT HOLE!!! Welcome to one of the bands that helped shape the 80's rock sound..
Awesome review! BTW they are still touring and this is always their encore song and everyone from age 16 to 60 is on their feet "Rollin With The Changes"
REO Speedwagon is one of the best bands of the 80's.
They were good in the Seventies too. R.E.O./T.W.O. (1972) is a great album...
70s
You can tune a piano but you can't tune a fish.
you can't tunafish!
I respectfully disagree...lol
So much enjoyed seeing you enjoy them❤
Like you kids..roll with the changes🎉
Gosh I love this song ❤
I saw them in 1987 and by the end of the show we were all standing on our chairs jumping up and down. It was a natural high! I hope to hear you guys react to some more REO!
This is a feel good song. I’m glad it made you feel good. Your body language said so. Job complete. Go REO. Caution this song can also make you drive faster in the fast lane!
Their best work!!!
One the best songs for a workout playlist. I wish I could tell you how many miles I’ve run listening to this song. “You got to keep on rollin!”
Regret I never saw them live. Great music and as you just saw great live concerts❤
Anyone who has seen them in concert knows they sound just like this...identical to their albums. I saw them in 1979 when I was in the 9th grade and Kevin's voice is awesome and Gary's guitar playing is over the top. RIP Gary Richrath who passed in 2015
REO is many a hard rockers guilty pleasure band🤘❤️
That was great.
REO was my first concert at age 14! Incredible! Over the years this song has meant the most to me. I often fight against change. The lyrics remind me life is change. And I need to chill ❤. And that we need to realize when we need to change things about ourselves.
🔥
A cool reaction video, thanks for sharing.
Ultimate road song. Spirit! What a band. Thanks!!
This was one of my favorite songs for a minute. I love the change over from Neil on the piano/keyboard to Gary guitar.
Too bad the "changes" they were talking about was their change in their overall product with "Hi Infidelity" It got them their well-deserved millions but was a drastic change to the dark side of HI. I bought the album the day it was released. Listened to it twice and sent it to my 12-year-old sister and said, "you're gonna love this". She didn't. She couldn't even believe it was REO.
They're still touring. THIS was the good stuff. It's a crime they're not in the R&R HOF
A few other great REO late 70's check out "157 Riverside Ave", "Golden Country" and "Ridin' the storm out".
REO was my first concert. I was 15 and the ticket was $7. ❤
Even though this video is live the recording here is the studio recording and there was a choir in the studio recording.
You guys needed to get up and dance to this😢
A great song. Unfortunately, the music heard in the video is the studio recording, not live. How do I know? Because I've played the song at least 100 times or more in the last couple of years. So either they were doing a Milli Vanilli, or the audio was added after the event was taped. Sometimes it's difficult to get a good live recording, unless you take the feed from the mixer board. But even then, you should be able to hear a difference. Generally, most bands play their songs either faster or slower in concert.
Yes, studio music synced with a live video.
Last song people!
One of the things that makes REO different from a lot of bands is the keyboards in every song. This is one of the few songs that has an organ solo and a guitar solo and they blended them so well. This is in the top 5 of all time rock songs on my list. Amazingly it never even hit the top 40 in 1978 yet it's probably their most popular songs with their fans. Shows you how stupid people were back then.
3 days later and just 10 comments; goes to show people don't know good reactors or good music when they hear it.
