Really useful especially in our place where ready to use nozzles are rarer than gold. Thank you!

I'm not sure this is very cost effective considering time and material when you can buy a steel nozzle for $100. But this is an excellent video for the diy guys.

Nice work. But how many hp is of your motor pump? Can I do dredging of a pond with 2 hp motor and this nozzle?

The "u" piece is to get the high pressure water to the jet.

This is the BEST EXPLANATION of a dredge I have seen on utube. You are a star. Are you using a 12v pump or gasoline?

Great idea, but bondo absorbs water. Use a fibreglass reinforced filler instead

That has alot of suction. You really seem to know what your doing. I am currently attempting to build a 4 inch nozzle in order to suck sand off a lake bed and pump it behind a new seawall for backfill. I am attempting to pump the sand up to 6' in height. So far I have been able to pump sand but not enough. I dont have good suction. I am running a riverside 2-1\2" high pressure pump powered by an 11hp honda engine. What should my jet size be for my 4 inch system? Do you have any suggestions?

I am dredging a hole in my boat slip and saw your video and said this may work. My question I am curious about is that if I use a 4 or 5 foot gravel (in my case sand)suction pipe would that affect the performance? I need to move about 3 yards of sand for my keel to rest in. Thanks for share your video.

Would I need to make some diameter adjustments if I wanted to use a 3000gph 12v bilge pump?
