    Dr. Christine Marie Cocchiola, DSW, LCSW, is a Coercive Control Educator, Researcher, and Survivor. She is a tenured college professor who has been teaching social work for the last 20 years and has been a social justice advocate since the age of 19, volunteering for a local domestic violence/sexual assault agency. Dr. Cocchiola provides valuable insights into the complexities of coercive control and its impact on mental health and well-being.

    This reminds me that I worked with senior therapists (when I myself was an intern) who had been abused but would teach others about abuse and the amount of shame it took to sit with in order to show up to therapy❤ Anyone can be a victim. I’ve seen victims from extremely privileged backgrounds down to ones who were underprivileged. Thanks for this talk!
