- We'll take a look at this classic luxury sedan, the 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI. This diesel-powered car was the first of its kind to be sold in the United States since the 1990s and was even named the 2005 Green Car of the Year. With 165,000 miles on it, this car is a testament to the quality and durability of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
In this video, we take a close look at the car's interior and exterior features, including its classic dash, DVD navigation system, and moon roof. We also take it for a spin and test out its power and torque, which is impressive for a car of its age.
If you're a fan of classic luxury sedans or just appreciate the quality and engineering of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, this video is for you. Don't miss out on this rare look at a piece of automotive history.
If you wanna buy this car, it's still for sale

W211 was peak E-Class. Exquisite autobahn breeding.
Best car I’ve ever had.
I hope I get one, how reliable is it.
@@BoringIsFunIf you can handle the potential leaky fuel injectors/black death issue, these cars are practically German Toyota’s.
@@BoringIsFunIt is pretty reliable and easy to maintain. Get yourself a fluid extractor pump (and a T30 socket to remove plastic cover) and changing the oil and filter is all accomplished without getting under the car in about 20 minutes.
i daily a e320 cdi 4matic from late 2007, exceptional car in the snow (no rust), highway driving is a charm, sooo relaxing and has enough power when u need it. i changed the turbo actuator cuz it failed on me and the oil cooler rings started leaking so i had to change those also.
they are prone to crack rear coils and front shocks, the pano roof is not the greatest....but! i love this car soo much, its the best ever, the design just flows, its gorgeous, a future classic
I remember this car - I think it originally came with a wood grain steering wheel when first posted for sale. The dealer then took off that and I think the unusual wheels shown here and lowered the price $1000 or so
I got 2006 Cdi. Got it from Diamond Auto in Alameda. Alex took great care of me. Love the car!!! Best car I own!!
No way! Yeah, he’s got a lot of gems
I was lucky to find a really well taken care of 211, and I love it. Too many have been treated poorly over the years which I find very sad, as they really are lovely cars to drive. Like you said, really everything you need. I find that I drive it more than my newer Mercedes.
Well said!
I have two of these, and am going to buy another one, greatest drivetrain ever made, the car isn't bad either. One has 340,000 the other 260,000, minimal normal issues, if you catch them early they really aren't issues at all. Outstanding vehicles, and easy to work on if you are a DIYER. I also have an 04 sprinter with 275g and an 07 gl 320 OM642 with 276g
im looking to get one myself and am curious what the known issues are and what to look out for when buying. Im between this and the 98 E300 TD. Any tips would be greatly appreciated
Engine and trans are bulletproof with proper paint. Injector seals, ( Black Death) is one of the only real "problems" Dirty swirl flaps is another. If you go ahead and have them changed before leakage occurs, way easier and cheaper if you're not doing yourself. Of course you will have to change glow plugs, heater blower motors and normal wear and tear as you would any car.
You couldn't buy a new 2005 CDI in California, as it did not meet Calif. emissions. I got mine used in Arizona, and was able to tag it in Calif.
Still going strong with 275,000 miles. Love my CDI.
I didn’t know this
Same here :) also have one in Austria that's a Wagon
I own an 08 e320….it’s one of the best cars I have ever owned…
what are some major issues you’ve had with it if any?
These were only sold in the auS market for the 2005 and 2006 model years. I own 3. If you’re in the U.S. what you have is a Bluetec
love my S11 e320 cdi 3.2 r6 om648💙
🙋♂️ W211 E320CDI Avantgarde Airmatic 07' I love this car. Very nice and comfortable. 🇫🇮👋
Thanks for sharing!
love it
Best car I have ever had.
I really wish I had kept it. I’m gonna try to keep one later on but right now I just had to sell it.
Smooth ride! Outmatches many new luxury sedans.
Yes they do
Imagine om605 swapping one of these
why you didnt push that hrome button under hazard button? just love to see how it works
:)
i will next time
150 mph Brilliant Driver 😎😎
I'm onto my second E320. Moved from the V6 to the inline six and from saloon to estate. So much love for these cars!! My latest has 240,000 miles on it!!!
Wow
I have a W220. Over 200k, saved me in an accident, still runs. It's a tank.
I have a 05 inline 6. The best motor ever made. For BS smog reasons they made a v6 which in no way compares. Take care of it they go forever. 40 mpg.
Q1?Are you saying registering cars for sale is better than buying just titled cars to sale? I don’t know much but buying cars can be a legal issues if not done right.
I love any year of E320. And it don't really matter if not AWD 4MATIC
I just got one for my wife. It's really super Nice.
awesome, how many miles?
Does it have the fold down rear seats?
You know, I don’t remember that’s a great question
Believe it or not folding rear seat is an option on the E-Class you have to open the trunk and look if it has the retractable levers to put the seat down
I know... It's basically the only option you can't effectively retrofit after the fact. I kept messaging these guys when this car was for sale on their website but they never got back to me to sell it.
Is it an add on? I can't find Mercedes CDI with pulse seats.
The massaging front seats are only available with the genuine leather trimmed seating. Not available with MB Tex. Almost everyone describes the MB Tex as “leather”. Look at your door panels. If they are rippled, it is genuine leather (maybe massaging too). If they are smooth, MB Tex.
In the U.S. only the 2005 had dynamic and pulsating seats. 2006 didn’t have them. I own 3 one of which is a 2005. It has heated and cooled seats
Does anyone know if these wheels are original MB?
hmmm
I bought one E320 CDI 5 years ago, never spent a penny on it (except oil change and new tires), I decided to buy a Porsche, then I took my Benz for a ride, I fell in love all over again, started kissing my car, called the Porsche dealership and cancelled the order. I have 4 cars (the 320CDI remains my favourite)
Benz has the best silver paint color in the industry
and its very easy to reach 400 hp in these.
really needs louder royalty free background music
haha!
There is a video with Jeremy Clarkson talking about all the automotive editors in the UK except one driving Jags. The other drove an E class. When he asked about repairs, the editor said I just do maintenance by the book from day one by the local dealership. Never have to worry about a thing.
Thats the thing with these cars, when you get behind it gets cost prohibitive
@@guys_garage I have a 97 e320 with 200k. Previous owner had it for 13 years and only sold it because her mechanic retired and the new guy didn't use OEM parts. They quoted her $2100 for an EGR valve and it was a $6 vacuum connector. I corrected that and it runs like a charm.
Would you buy this car?
I want to buy every car I drive. The problem is, I can’t store all of them!
My pulse seats no longer work, due to leaks.
bummer
@@guys_garage I know and I’m too nervous to take the fabric off to try to repair underneath. But it was awesome when it worked!
Om648 is the best besides om606
I got 1 for 2200
Cheap
Miles?
