Usually when I watch videos of people art supplies I sometimes get a bit bored and prefer a different video. But with your videos your art and voice I just feel captivated, and have no issue just losing time with watching them.
I like watching "art supplies hauls/shopping" and "my favourite supplies" videos lately. I'm not artist at all. I used to love drawing as a kid and now I am back into it as very grown audlt 😂 just to spend winter cold time on something interesting. My favourite brand is faber-castell and koh-i-noor (this is what is easy available for me in Europe). ❤ I enjoy your videos.
Thank you, and I'm glad to hear you're getting back into drawing. It's such a wonderful hobby, and I'm looking forward to cozy winter days huddled at my desk, too. :) I'm originally from Switzerland and often visited Germany, so Faber-Castell and Caran d'Ache are what I grew up with, in a way! Koh-i-Noor is so hard to find here in Korea, but I have some of their rainbow colored pencils which are really fun to sketch with. 🥰
LYRA makes the best Kneadale eraser! Can keep it's shape better than the Faber astell which is my 2nd favorite. You should add Kohinoor Red Chalk and Sepia to your pencils, they are my favorite for sketching!!
Thank you for the rec! I couldn't find Lyra here in Korea, though I sometimes switch to Cretacolor and random local brands, too. Koh-i-noor is available though, I'll keep my eyes open for those colors! ❤
I'm so glad to have found your channel. Your sketches are so beautiful. Loved to hear about your favorite art supplies. I think I'm also doing an overview of my pencils, like the one you did in this video. It looks so helpful when choosing a pencil.
I do, I do! Just - making personal art and documenting it for UA-cam IS what I do to rest :'D Glad that the how & why came accross. I didn't want to just list products, but actually give proper reasoning!
Pencil crayons are always a win in my book! I'm quite partial to pinks and reds for my sketching - I like the warmer tones. And that MONO square eraser - I liked mine so much I got a couple so I'd always have one to hand. I really enjoyed hearing about your supplies and what makes them effective for you. That marco renoit cold grey you like looks stunning. The illustration you were working on here too - I love how you built up the shadows in the faces.
Thank you so much - and now you made me want to throw all my usual color preference out of a window and draw with bright pink and reds! Do you have any particular shades you love? Those MONO eraser have been with me ever since I drew Manga as a teenager haha - they're just too good! And thank you, I love how this sketch turned out... It's a study for a Pandora inspired painting I'm hoping to work on this winter. 💙
@@evydraws-art My favourite shades are probably a carmine (usually a 'pink carmine' though there's this 'burnt carmine' shade I've been loving, and might match the shades you like using a touch more) and pyrrole red!
@annaarts23 those are all shades I love when painting, so I should really give them a go as colored pencils! Maybe a wintery theme of reds and deep greens... 🥰
So many nice supplies and I’m so surprised I already use some of them but not in a way that produces such a great result as yours! Thank you for showing how you use everything! I will try to use everything similarly and see how I like it! The Pandora (I think this is it) illustration is amazing! ❤
Thank you - I'm glad me rambling about my favorites was actually interesting to watch :) each artist uses the same tools differently, so I love watching others draw, too. And yes, that's a study for Pandora! 🥰
you actually inspired me to try softer pencils! since i'm someone who always draws with 2H because i'm afraid of mistakes... let me just say my hand hurts A LOT ahah. so thank you for showing that those soft pencils are actually quite nice to use! p.s.: the way you pronounce "glance" is so fancy ✨
Oh, definitely give them a try! I mostly used HB and B in the past (and mechanical ones especially for precision) and it makes a big difference. It can be a weird feeling at first to use very little pressure while drawinf, but my hands can really feel the change. ❤️
@ well, this is not the first video of yours that had me shopping :))) and also I am in Norway, art supplies cost bonkers here. But I am happy because I used to buy that Strathmore paper but I didn’t remember what it was called, and once I saw it I remembered that I had it before and found it. There is only one store that carries it here but I am glad it does :)
I like to make swatches on labels and stick them to pencils and markers. I am too forgetful or don’t use something for a while. I can just grab what i want without thinking
Amazing and very soothing video as usual~ always looking forward to your updates ~ I would want to ask how do you come up with the ideas for your drawings? What insipres you? Does drawing throughout the day comes to you naturally and you do it with pleasure and ease? I sometimes find myself so inspired and willing to draw but picking up the pencil feels harder than picking up a giant tree trunk :]
Thank you so much! I might actually have to think about that answer for a bit - and would love to include it in my Q&A video I'm working on. I definitely struggled with this much more in the past and also have ADHD so I've found different ways of managing over the years and feel like I'm now in a good rhythm (finally!)
Hi, do you mind sharing where you shop in Seoul? I thought i visited all bigger art supply shops here, but i do not recognized the one you went to. I really like your sketching style and colours
Oh, always happy to hear from fellow artists in Korea! I actually live on Jejudo, so this is the small art store in Jejusi called 4B. The shops in Seoul definitely have a better selection of art materials, so I always visit them when I'm up there. :)
@@evydraws-art oh, Jejusi that is a bit of a way haha, i usually visit Hangaram, but i often check out stuff on Carrot market (i am fine with 2nd hand market)
@@evydraws-art Carrot market is so nice, especially that it does not require internet shopping, which is somehow hard for me :(. You should visit hangaram again, recently they added some new brands of watercolor and new lines of turner's acryla gouache (if it is of interest to you).
Grey is essentially my favorite color to work with and I recently had to explain why I was spending money on grey colored pencils and why was kinda upset I hadn't found one I liked yet when I've graphite ones, it was difficult. I also have ridiculously horrible fine motor skills considering how much detail I'll try to do, so I feel you there.
A fellow fan of greys! They're so versatile for drawing and layering, right? I hope you find some that are a perfect fit for you. (And glad I'm not the only artist with two left hands when it comes to any other fine motor skills task... 😆)

all of your videos are
magical. i’d love to know what resources, lessons, books and artists helped you reach the incredible level you are at now!
Thank you so much! And that question fit perfectly - I've added it to my Q&A video :)
This was a fun video! I love your taste in greys.
Thank you - they're so great for shading 🖤🤍
You don't ever rest, girl, don't you?
Very enjoyable to watch and very interesting to see how you use your tools and why. Congrats again 🙌

How do u make your vidoes look so professional 😭🫶 also that deep dusky color palette you pulled out 🥵🖤
Ah, thank you! I actually just upgraded from a very basic editing software - capcut - to DaVinci Resolve, and it brought out my perfectionism! 😭❤️
So beautiful! ❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
you help soothe my Saturday morning 🤍

very helpful and fun video, love the page flicking gives such good visuals but also almost asmr vibe 🌻❤
Thank you so much! My cat usually interrupts all my asmr filming attempts but this time it worked out! 😆
You are such an enabler :)): I hoard art supplies already, it’s bad as is😂😂😂 and now I ordered like a third of things mentioned 😂
Hi, fellow art supply hoarder! 😂 I hope that since it's mostly pencils, that wasn't too expensive - but also, I'm really not one to talk... :')
