Dear Friends, I have confused, and I have many questions: 1/ How the financial and accouting, legal, HR, supply chain, IT departments support the operations/primary activities of a manufacturing company?. the financial and accouting, legal, HR, supply chain, IT departments belong to Operation Management?. 2/ How the Sales & Marketing departments support the operations/primary activities of a manufacturing company?. Could you help?. Thank you.
If you know well your operations you can calculate how much money, working capital, or project investments you need. So, analyse operations to make a decision on the finance needed. The same thing, if you know well your operations costs you can decide on how much money to alocate for marketing, how to promote your product or service you produce in your operations processes, so this ia the connection of operations and marketing. Then knowing your production peocesses also makes you assess how many employees you need to complete a goal, that is a decision on HR management. So all decisions can be made only if you analyze and understand well your business operations. I hope this helps.
There’s no escaping math…no matter what career path you choose; Might as well grab a few math courses, even if you’re just trying get a degree to be a licensed domestic animal social worker (no, that’s not a real career 🙄😒)

I'm almost done with math in my BA & management degree. So far I have worked so hard to get A's in all of them.
