@@ChrisMillerCycling haha, didn't even notice the typos. I did however notice the mallet holding up the bike; I know the Central Valley can be gangster, best to be prepared.
Hi Christopher ! 👋 So Tyler took you for a ride ha ha ha 😅 you were thinking when is this going to end 😢 lmfaooo00 😂🤣😆 Hillary didn't make it any easier
I loved the format of the presentation and that it was based on a significant amount of riding across a lot of different conditions and types of rides. I also appreciate the fact that while there was some vendor contribution, this was not a paid promotion. To me that is a significant difference.
Thanks for that comment, I wasn’t sure whether to use the “paid partnership” button here, but like you said, I stayed away from the normal review things like “stiffer, faster, more compliant”, so thought it was ok not to. That said, I think it’s an interesting show topic for the Nero show.
It's been a pleasure riding with you Chris. Thanks for making our insanely hot area look so good. Hope to see you back again when I'm further down the road to regaining my fitness.
Great vid... the most valuable feedback to folks buying kit is the ride feel, performance and support in case of issue.. the schill reviewers discussing spec only add zero value... nice work..
These are the type of bikes that experienced riders like us wouldnt buy if we had to spend our own money though lol. They are heavy, PITA to maintain and WAY over priced.
Great format. Love all the details being included and just spending time on things that matter and framing why that is eg wider internal rim width. Also love the Nero wrap
I happens to have bought a Farsports F1 as well, in the same 380x120 size as yours. Bought it on Panda Podium for 40% off since its being replaced by the f1s. Very happy with it!
Chris, great video. I really enjoy hearing your take on equipment. I really appreciate the more organic feel you have to these, especially when you take your time with the product and actually use it for a while. To me it feels more genuine. Keep it up and do them when you are ready. Yours have your own unique feel to them that I very much enjoy that separates it from the likes of Cam Nicolls and David Authur (which are great too). Watching the evolution of your channel and your take on cycling has been great. I look forward to the next video.
Just adding another voice to what has been said by others above, a great video, informative content, A1 presentation and something that [we] riders can appreciate. The Bunny Hop wrap (on both your bikes), together with the SYD icons inspired kit is awesome and has me contemplating doing the same to one of my bikes. Well done!
If you like Reserve wheels then you should be riding ENVE! Enve invented the different wheel width and depth for rear and front. Many people talked S about it and now it seems everyone is copying them lol!
I love Enve and they have even replaced my old rim brake 3.4s which was great. These Reserves on DT 240 hubs are very fast and I actually prefer them to my deeper dish Enves. The world has caught up!
Love this type of content. This video, felt very genuine and informative. Great job. I would have like a bit more information on the frame. Why is the geometry special.
From America here, loved the scenery, that was some great footage. I watch a lot of reviews, don't believe I've seen one go into the detail you did with the Strava readouts. I'm always left wondering how long they've had the bike, you answered that. Great video, love the creative graphics on the bike.
I was waiting for the bike chat (review) and I absolutely loved this format. I have been seriously considering a Chapter 2 frame for my next bike (local shop works with them) and this was great to see. Could you give a bit more details on the handlebar adapters?
Gorgeous bike. Sweet and to the point. I like how you presented the bike - heres this or that and why - just as I like how you don’t dilly dally in your chat show. Bikes a keeper.
Perfect way to evaluate a bike. Instead of giving an end all be all review, since everyone has unique characteristics that makes their responses to bikes different, it’s nice just to hear how and why you run your setup. And I think it’s super cool that Chapter 2 and Reserve were willing to share their products so that you could ride. But I have a question…did you beat Jeff in his own parking lot crit?🤔🤔🤔 Inquiring minds wanna know😂
Loved this style of video mate. Good amount of spec information but more importantly plenty of detail of how it feels/rides. Definitely appreciate your opinion on ride feel because of your experience
I said goodbye to my Pinnarello which was black , white and blue . My osteoarthritis cannot tolerate the road buzz so with friends , we formed a mtb road setup class between us . We cannot be categorised because of this .
been thinking of getting some reserve 40/44 for my endurace bike. I think that will jus about make that bike prefect for me. I don't race and I like long, comfortable ,slow to medium tempo rides on most days. thx for the info Chris !
Chris, I guessed this wasn’t a full on review because you didn’t do a Dave Arthur squat, next to the bike ;) Really interesting the av speed difference, there must be something going on unless you were riding with a constant hurricane tailwind this year!
Great video Chris. A good palette cleanser between the long podcast format. Personally I’d like to know how big those tyres sat at on the reserve rims and what the clearance was like on the frame. If you already mentioned it and I missed it then I apologise.
I did a bit of Frankensteining and put a 38t inner ring from a 9000 "52/38" spec on with my 54t chainring. Technically out of spec and people on the internet say that the chainrings will be further apart, but practically I've not noticed anything. Best of both worlds for cruising up and flying down hills
Chris, pls can you and Jesse do a guide to racing bikes in Sydney/NSW for people looking to get into racing, or people visiting the state/country? Cheers
Great video. I am one for similar content in the future, Question for you: Why did you not go for a small and then a 130 stem length? Reach would be about the same and a lower stack (24 mm). You should then have a bike that's a bit lighter and easier to control, add spacers if you need to be higher(unless you want the slammed look). Heard it always stated that if you fall between two frame sizes and have no flexibility issues choose the smaller frame.
The way you said “External Nipples” 😂 All on board for these Slow Content’ ‘Chats’. Your thoughts are valuable & the disclaimers provide all the transparency we need ✌️Great stuff Chris
Hey Chris, I have had the Toa for almost two years now. I love the frame and the feel of it, thinking of also getting a Koko frame . I know you have ridden both, what are your thoughts? Is it worth swapping to the Koko? Or is the Toa better overall? Cheers
Chris/Jessie - possibly will be passing through Sydney next March and wondering whether it's worth traveling with my bike from Europe or just renting locally. Can you recommend any rental shops with decent road bikes with electronic gearing? I did a search and only found places charging a bomb at $200+ per day (basically double the prices in Europe).
where did you get the decal on the frame. I wasn't sure if that was a paint design or decals either way the frame design is very cool. I would love to learn more.
@7:12. you pushed 21w higher average and the wind was 50% less strong so not reliable comparrison. Were you doing both rides solo or with same number or riders?

Great question. I would argue the Toa is a more approachable bike, especially with its geometry. The only reason I would recommend the Koko over it would be if straight line speed is your most important factor.

I’ve been riding a Chapter 2 Tere for almost 5 years and never once needed to look at other bikes. It’s perfect for the rides I do.
May I ask what features of this bike you are fond of? just curious about it
Couple of quick notes 1. 548mm effective top tube 2. 175cm is actually 5"9 and 3.speed comparison, the 2023 bike is one the left.

Very useful way to present this information Chris... no fluff, just what your experience is. Like it...
Great video Chris, enjoyed the more casual look at the combo + the nuance you brought to the wheel tire combo!
Great format Chris. Honest and no frills. I like it.

I’d expect the closer the gap the better the shifting would be, I thought the wider gap is the issue. (52/34 etc)
@@RyonBeachner54-38t is wider gap though it should be a 40?
@@jakethesnake1976 54/38 is a 16t difference.

The wire at the RD too long. Still looks as though a mech rd. You can shorten it or or tie it up neatly with a cable tie and snip the ends to tidy.
